Ripon needed this place. Nice variety of beer. Loved the Hazy. Crinkle fries were the best I've had. Hot, crispy and full of flavor, chicken sandwich was really tasty and fed me for 2 meals. Staff is very attentive and the dark haired girl with the guitar and beautiful voice needs to go on The Voice. read more

Wife and I went on a Saturday night. A wait to be expected ok no problem. I grabbed a menu while waiting so we could browse the offerings and when the table was ready the hostesses rudely took it from my wife. So we get our table . We ordered poutine , burger , salad and grilled cheese ( kids plate ) and 2 beers . Beer selection was good. They offer a modest but diverse beer selection. That was nice to see The poutine was off . Fries were fine , gravy had a strong nutmeg spice that threw it off plus the curds ( not many) were old . Burger was ordered med rare . How the hell is it dry ?? Flavorless beef but you can taste the char . Salad was wilted but we liked the ranch dressing. Grilled cheese was ok and the grapes that it came with were the highlight. Atmosphere was fine . But overall for what we paid for a basic pub meal we won't return. read more

So happy we decided to try this place out. We went on a busy Friday night. We did sit outside but the cold wasn't bad since they have these huge outside heaters. There was live entertainment which I really enjoyed. We ordered the Gojuchang wings which are a spicy thai style wing (Delicious), the Bacon nachos (reminded us of ball park nachos), and the Aranchinis which we dipped in marinara. The food did take a hot minute to come out but it was Friday night so that's to be expected. The beer selection was good for my husband. He REALLY enjoyed Yojo. I had the Chardonnay that tasted like butter. They did have two local ciders which is lovely to see both supporting local! and because I typically only see beer. My daughter had the chicken sandwich it was huge and super tasty with garlic waffle fries and the I had the Braised Rib which was good. Our friend ordered the Reuben (made with corn beef!) and the fish and chips which he loved. The service was good and the staff was attentive and kind. The bartenders were incredibly polite they impressed with their knowledge of the menu. Will definitely return to try the rest of the food and for a second helping of those wings! YUMMM read more

I would love to recommend this place because it looks great. I tried to eat here on two separate occasions. The first time I got there 30 min before my group to try and get a table. I stood there for at least 10 min before an employee even talked to me. I told them that I had 8 people, they told me they didn't have room as their only large table was full. I asked if they could move the two 4 person tables that were empty together and they said no. There was no one else waiting. The staff was super rude and did not want to help. The second time it was just my wife and I . Again we waited at least 10 min for anyone to acknowledged. An employee walked past us and didn't say a thing. When we asked if we could be seated he said I'll find someone and walked away not talking to anyone. After a couple minutes a lady came out and asked if we put our name on the list. We told her it was the two of us and we were just trying to see how long. She then just walked away. The worst part is both times it wasn't super busy and there were open tables. Wait staff appeared to be just hanging out with their friends. I won't try to go back. It's sad I wanted to try this place but service sucks! read more

Tried this new place this evening and it didn't disappoint. Got there early and it was a 30 minute wait. Not bad considering it's new in town. The young lady at the hostess stand was very friendly, and quite busy! She checked in people. Constantly circled around the floor clearing tables and cleaning them up to seat new customers. Huge shoutout to her!! Great work ethics. Ambience was a bit loud, but tolerable. Our waitress was very friendly and gave great recommendations on beer and cider. We ordered the poke tower as a starter, delish!! Wish it had some sort of chips or something to put it on for sharing. Meal was as followed, ordered chicken sandwich, husband ordered a side of BBQ sauce to complete the meal. Son ordered the braised rib sandwich and I ordered the surf and turf with the chimichurri on the side. It was really good. Overall experience was great, definitely will need to make another visit. read more

Honestly I hate to be the one to write negative reviews or reviews at all. But I can't really overlook exactly what happened this sunday on Father's Day. My husband and I are regulars, we are Ripon locals and have been for years. When we started coming here we loved everything about it, the food, the vibe, the music, the service. On Fathers day we decided to take our son and have some good beers and just have a good time overall. We sat outside a few feet away from a family that had been seated previously. The girl at the entrance did not bother to get us a waitress. We waited 15 mins before my husband decided to walk in and ask what was going on and the girl acted like we werent sitting right in front of her eyes. Our waitress (blonde girl) was nice and seemed new so we understood why she couldve had a hard time getting our order right as both me and my husband got the build your own burger. The waitress who came to bring our food to the table (red hair girl with glasses) was bringing the peoples next to us food before and she was overall very nice and cordial toward these people. Total contrast to when she came to our table. Both me and my husband had asked for Grilled Onions and we both got raw. She took both of our food and when she came back mine still had the raw onion, which means she literally took my food back for no reason the first time around. When I told her I wanted Grilled Onions for the second time and the bacon I had asked was missing she got very upset and took my plate off the table in such a rude way, it made ME apologize to her. She brought my burger out the last time and my burger still was missing the bacon and had ketchup and mustard in it with pickles which I specifically didn't ask for and told them I didnt want three times. My husband kept asking why I kept apologizing to her as I was not doing anything wrong other than ask for what I initially wanted. We thought about some similar encounter we had with this same waitress a while back when she was working behind the desk and my husband and I asked to be seated in the beer garden which we had to wait for a few minutes. Time went by and she kept seating multiple families coming in and looking at us like we weren't there waiting to be seated, when my husband asked if it was okay to sit at the beer garden since it was empty and it had been cleaned, she literally responded "if you guys want". It almost felt racially motivated which I really hope it wasnt, but like I said, my husband is a filipino brown man and i am a latin brown woman, the people sitting next to us were clearly caucasian and the treatment she gave them compared to us was a total contrast, like I said previously. Thankfully another nice waitress came out and she was able to fix my order and took it off our tab as courtesy. Needless to say, the experience this time was awful especially because we did not need this kind of treatment and experience on Father's Day. Will we come back? Of course, absolutely , but I hope we never encounter with this kind of service again. read more

First time here and overall enjoyed it. Cute brewery vibes and a versatile menu. The fish sandwich was delicious as well as the wings & fries. The side salad lettuce was warm and a little wilted. Service overall was good but the food took a great deal of time to come out of the kitchen. Overall, will be back due to the food tasting delicious. read more

The Ripon Tap House - Fish sandwich with a side salad w/honey mustard dressing - Beer Bar Near Me - Ripon, California

Absolutely terrible service. Not that busy and we waited quite some time to be served cold food. No thank you.

My husband and I love trying new places and knew we'd have to try this! It exceeded our expectations. The place is nice and clean looking. The service was super friendly, starting with the hostess. Mostly though, I love that they had truly local beers and ciders (tapped apple and persuasion) on tap! Also the addition of Moonraker. I look forward to coming back to sit on the patio when the weather is nicer! read more

My husband and I went out for a date night. We had the best time ever. We had a couple delicious beers and a hamburger. It was delicious cooked to perfection. Can't wait to come back!! read more

Nice place but just can't justify $8+ for a 12 ounce beer! Way over priced. Didn't try the food. Probably won't be back.

I have been to the TapHouse many times since it opened. AMAZING BEER. AMAZING FOOD. AMAZING STAFF. The Fish and Chips are AMAZING and Nachos with pulled pork ROCK. With regards to the staff, Kiley is one of the servers that stands out the most... with her attention to the guest and her great spunk and attitude. Five Stars in my opinion. The only recommendation I have is that the owner/ management pays the cable bill. With the NHL and NBA playoffs going on, plus MLB season..... there should be NO REASON why on both TV screens, one has motocross and the other a blank ESPN+ template..... having only one restroom, you can get past....but having to ask the bartender to look for Game 7 of the NHL Playoffs should not happen. I will continue to comeback and recommend to all. read more

Lunch was very good, turkey sandwich was a bit light on the meat but had good combination of flavors. Waffle fries were crispy! Cute atmosphere, although one negative was the music playing was quite loud, hard to have conversation. Service was quick and friendly, will be back. read more

We came here with a group of 6 including two kids and loved it. The service was quick and attentive. It was Friday night and they had great live music but we could still easily have conversation. The beer list isn't huge but they had a great variety and we appreciated the local choices. Best part was definitely the food. We tried everything from the amazing poke tower to the braised rib sandwich to the homemade s'mores. All great, and even the kids food was prepared well. Easily one of the best spots in the area. We'll be back. read more

The Ripon Tap House - Poke Tower - Beer Bar Near Me - Ripon, California

Well this was the 3rd time we've visited the Tap house, the food was absolutely amazing and the beer and cider was ice cold and was unbelievable. On opening night, the place was wall to wall with customers and the employees were outstanding and constantly made sure we had water, and new refreshments as needed. The decor makes you feel at home and welcoming. Look forward to another night of great food, beer and excellent service!!! read more

Came on opening night and it was jam packed. Once we got a spot I tried some of the craft beers they had and the selection was great. A lot of stuff you would have to travel to get and they had it there on tap. Wanted to try the short rib but they had already sold out so I tried the burger and it was done nicely. Will definitely be back. And look forward to have this in Ripon. Great spot. read more

Great food, service, and ambiance. It's definitely our new favorite spot in town to go with friend's or family. read more

Gret food, great people, great drinks. Tends to be busy but always can find a spot at the bar.

Really nice community spot with friendly service, a well curated drink list, top quality local music, and great food. We feasted and everything was fantastic. In particular the braised rib was delicious. Get it on a sandwich or add to the grilled cheese. Clearly I'm not vegetarian, but I love to try vegetarian dishes and the pulled "pork" jackfruit is one of the best I've had. A meat lover would enjoy it. The appetizers are also great. Poke, poutine, and Korean wings were all phenomenal. Even though it's a well rounded craft beer spot, they have Modelo/Coors and some tasty ciders for the friends that aren't into it. read more

Food was dull and lacked flavor, service works are kind although forgetful about their tables. Atmosphere is causal

Ripon Tap House is a fun place to hang out with friends. The employees are friendly and attend to your needs. The beer selection has a nice variety. There is something for everyone and the options change frequently. Definitely looking forward to the addition of Old Speckled Hen!! I also enjoy the regular menu and the food truck options on Game Nights! Trivia Night rocks!!! Will does a great job of keeping it fresh, fun and entertaining. Shout out to those Quizzly Bears!! One day we will beat you! read more

Kitchen was horribly slow. Waited well over an hour for food to be served. Finally got up and left. Table service was inattentive. In 75 minutes water was never refilled. They do not serve ice tea. Isn't that standard? Noise level was not conducive for a conversation. Concrete floors and metal chairs do not provide any sound buffering. This has not been thought through. While only open for a month, most everything needs improvement. Good luck. We will not return and will not recommend to others. read more

The food is very good! They have toys for families to interact with and the service is off the chart!!!!!

The food was very tasty. Service was great, waitress was very helpful and very nice. It was a brewery atmosphere, clean, airy. It was a bit chilly when we were there a couple weeks ago and downfall our food got cold faster than expected but didn't stop us from enjoying it. Definitely would go again and recommend. It was a nice little find in Ripon. My friend had a buffalo chicken sandwich and loved it. I enjoyed the pesto chicken sandwich with a cider. read more

I want to give five stars but can't if being honest. You go here for different beers. That is the highlight. Food good and service at best okay. We have tried on three different occasions, each time with different results. The same was service, average at best. I do like the game nights and the live music definitely the highlight of the establishment. If you love trying different micro brews this is the place for you. They are constantly rotating the selection. read more

Been here a couple of times, liked the atmosphere, drinks, and the waitress are friendly! But today the fish was very, very greasy and the braised short rib sandwich was so dry, no cheese or caramelized onions on it! Garlic fries had no garlic on them! Disappointed! read more

The waitress from New Zealand is the best. She was very attentive and friendly. I would recommend her as our waitress anytime.

Very accommodating as the tried to make pur wait as short as possible. Our party of six very much enjoyed our meals. Fish and chips, braised rib sandwich, smoked ribs, wings and fries, and caesar salads all rated very good. We'll be back. Oh and the Citrus Blonde wea excellent. read more

The decor is...unfinished. there is a visible pile of crap in the back of the restaurant. The service was slow. I could have driven to 2025 before the food came out. The beer selection is limited l, basically cider and IPAs, someone forgot lager, pilsner, porter, and stout exist. SMALL PORTION SIZE. And the flank steak could workout your jaw. Pricey for what you get too. read more

The waitress was really attentive and recommended beers to us based on our preferences. She recommended the perfect ones! The fish and chips was great, hot and crunchy. Would definitely get again. 2nd time here, both on Friday nights when it was super busy! They were always extremely friendly and accommodating and the food was really good!
