Walked in and wasn't even acknowledged. After standing there for a bit, I finally approached a server, who just said they were busy. No greeting...We decided to leave -- and Primos was more than happy to take our business (and they were just as busy). read more

They are probably the nicest people in town I had the Fish and Chips it's the best I've ever had in the valley My wife had the Italian sandwich which see didn't like it because she was expecting lunch meat it was more like a salad on a roll We will be back to try more things on the menu I'm haven't given very many good reviews in Ripon but I do recommend this place read more

as for Christian at the bar, she's wonderful tonight. They happen to be a party of 30 and they bought their kids all under the age of 12 very noisy so I'm not gonna judge them accordingly but I will judge service taste of food atmosphere because after a long day at work and you wanna come and have a drink and then come to a place with kids, you don't wanna deal with kids. You have kids at home but for some reason this family bought all the kids oh my God. read more

The place looked good from the outside, but not very comfortable inside. Seemed to be short staffed . The food was very good and the only waitress we saw did a great job. If we did not already have coupons we would not go back . read more

All the staff were so friendly and helpful. We had the pretzel beer cheese appetizer and it was AMAZING! We had the fish and chips and it was FANTASTIC! All the food is made in house and they don't lightly batter the fish until you order it so everything is fresh. They have 10 beers to select from, the atmosphere is quiet and the restaurant is very clean. The servers are very attentive and polite. We are definitely going back and telling everyone about this great place. read more

We made a "happy mistake" today. We tried to visit the Klean Eatz Bakery to find that it was closed and the Ripon Taphouse had taken over, using the bakery as a kitchen to serve up some really savory food. On the menu, I really wanted to try the Poutine, that Canadian dish of French fries, cheese curds and gravy. Sounds a bit weird but it tastes great, something really savory. Their braised rib sandwich had a flavorful coleslaw and their Reuben had sauerkraut, both combined for that flavorful bite and made it delicious. Offering alternative sides, we opted for a garden salad with balsamic vinegar and broccolini as a healthier option. The finish was a nice chocolate stout cake made with that famous Irish brew, Guinness. A medium cake with a dark chocolate finish, it was a nice finish and not overly sweet. My personal rating is 4.5 stars. The Poutine as a 5, with the rest coming in at 4.5. A nice surprise and with other items on their menu, something we are going to keep in mind for future visits. read more

Ok so we were pretty excited to try this new place. The good: beer on tap was good and garlic fries are excellent. The bad: service was just ok. Waited a while to have them come back to table to take order. Only 1 waitress in place too many tables. Never got a water refill and finally asked if I wanted another beer but at that point was done with meal. Also we ordered two of the same sandwich. 1 was filled with meat the other was pretty bare, so that was disappointing. However the worst part was we went on a Sunday so many items(like at least half the menu!) was out of stock. They told me the baseball families came and went through all their inventory. Would I come back? Possibly read more

So we've been here three times total - once as a family and once on a date. This third time they have implemented a digital ordering system (scan and order from table). We waited over an hour for our food. I'm so disappointed. The people seem really nice and our "server" was awesome (bc his job was basically apologizing for the digital ordering). I'm sure the kitchen was swamped with people doing staggered orders. Please do not wait to "work out the kinks" of this new ordering system. I don't go out to eat at a place like this (nor pay $$$ to have a Taco Bell experience). **update: I called to let them know what an unfortunate experience this was and all I got was: "it's not the digital platform, it's all the baseball teams and our kitchen is only so big." No apology and no acknowledgement that a bunch of 14 year olds with phones placing staggered orders could cause a problem. read more

The service is so bad. Been here 3 times rude bartenders and just not a fun vibe. I wish it was better.

Where has this gem been hiding?! Seriously, Ripon Tap House, you've been holding out on us. We stumbled in here, and now my wife has decreed we're eating here weekly. I'm both thrilled and slightly concerned for my wallet. Let's talk about the food:    *   Gluten-free glory! The Arancini were so good I had to double-check they were actually gluten-free. Crispy, cheesy, and pure magic. The GF chicken strips? Unreal. My wife was basically tearing up with joy.    *   My braiaed rib sandwich? Perfectly smoky, tender, and left me in a blissful meat coma. Beer selection: solid, but let's diversify a bit. Give me a stout or a sour to keep me guessing! Oh, and can we talk sodas? Ditch the cans and get those babies on tap--it's in your name, after all! Bottom line: If you're looking for killer food (GF or not), great vibes, and a place to settle an argument over "what's for dinner," Ripon Tap House is it. We'll be back. Weekly. (Send help.) read more

Love the beers on tap and they're always rotating. They have a good variety of ciders, wine, lagers, IPAs, and usually one stout on tap. The food is delicious, definitely get the fried pickles with the adobo chipotle sauce as well as the cheese curds. The food takes awhile to come out but that's ok if you're surrounded by good company and a good beer. The menu online does have a few more options but the servers are great at letting you know what you can customize with your burgers/sandwiches. You can tell that they put a lot of effort into their food and their service. The servers are all kind and will take care of you greatly. The taproom is very big and great for groups or small parties. It's a very pretty space and they have TVs and trivia night on certain days. read more

Hate to write a bad review for a new business but here we go....Checked out The Ripon Tap House as recommended by friends and unfortunately was not very pleased. The burger was very undercooked, ordered it medium and came near raw. We informed the waitress and her offer to reolve the issue was a few beers on the house. Not to have the food corrected. Another waitress stopped by and told us that was the second burger that came out raw. Beer selection is not large, nothing amazing to speak about. Chicken sandwich ordered was not cooked either, the breading was doughy and we didn't waste out time discussing that with the waitress. We wanted to pay for whatever and leave. I would love to meet the manager or owner and give this business another go. I will update review if offered the chance. As stated above, I hate leaving bad reviews but I have to be honest in all my reviews. Good or bad. read more

I stopped by Ripon Tap House today and had the pleasure of meeting Andrew just as he was heading in for his shift. As a small business owner I understand the importance of 5 star reviews, but also appreciate feedback. We had such high hopes for this place but were very disappointed. My wife and I were "greeted" with "just find a place and we will figure it out." No mention as to where we can find a high chair for our 1 year old, but we figured it out, not a big deal. Our first mistake was waiting for 15 minutes before anyone even came to check on us thinking the rest of the night would be quicker...it wasn't. Once we ordered it took 20 minutes to get our beers and then 20 minutes on top of that to get our food. Over 30 minutes from the time we sat down to getting a simple beer, and nearly an hour from the time we sat down to getting our food. After the long wait we were a definitely disappointed with what we received. Hoping it was just an off night cause the atmosphere was wonderful! read more

First time visiting and we cant wait to be back. We had our German Shepherd with us, so we chose to eat on the patio. Such a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Since it was our first time, I asked our waiter who was awesome, what we should order, we settled on Fish &Chips and nachos with braised short rib, OMG amazing foods. So much flavor. It wasn't very busy while we were there, but service was very slow...for water, for drinks, and especially food. For basic pub grub (e.g., fish and chips, reuben sandwich), it took quite a long time, and then they weren't even hot...room temperature fish and chips??? No thanks. read more

First off, we will be back. We came for appetizers, a few drinks and were happily satisfied. Their fries are addictive. The wings were great - no frills - just good old fashioned wings.
