Very sweet lady at the counter yummy food. The place itself is very homey. The empanadas and mango colads was exceptional.

    Cancer calzone

This is by far the worst place I have ever encountered. The management is terrible! My friend and I ordered food here and her mom wanted to pay for our food so we ordered and paid over the phone, given her mom's card number. Over the phone, we asked how much was a large calzone and the lady over the phone said $9 for a large so we said we wanted 2 of the $9 ones. When we arrived for pickup, the cashier asked us to sign which made sense since it was a card transaction, however, we saw that they charged us $40 ($20 for each calzone). We then asked why we were charged this much and the girl said 9 + 9 = 18. I was shook. She proceeded to call the manager over since we didn't order $20 calzones and we wanted $9 calzones, however, the cashier did take full responsibility for her mistake which was the only nice thing about this place because the manager is a handful to deal with. We asked for a refund and then to re-order regular-sized calzones but were told we couldn't and could only be given $20 credit for the calzones we didn't ask for. What kind of place can't give refunds and can only give credit back? The manager also asked us for the card we paid with but since my friend's mom paid, we didn't have her card. She then said they shouldn't have accepted our order because we were paying with someone else's card... like I'm sorry my friend's MOM wanted to pay for dinner. They should've clarified that on the phone, rather than to charge us anyway and wait for us to show up with the card. My friend and I were over it at this point because the manager was basically blaming us for having our mom order us food because at one point, she even said and I quote "tell your mom she's paying $40 for the calzones" when we were denied a refund. One of the calzones were freaking burnt and we only ended up eating the other one. I probably would've gotten cancer if I ate the other one. I don't understand how you could serve someone burnt food... I hope this place gets shut down, and if it does, I blame burnt food and poor management. No one like her should be working with that attitude/mindset. The cook, which I'm assuming is her husband, even said he's not remaking the calzone when we asked for a regular-size instead of a large. We were basically just stuck with $40 calzones and had no way out of it, even though we asked for $9 calzones. Everything about this place is complete trash, especially the manager.

Love waiting over half an hour to receive this burnt mess. Never will I go here again.

It's consistently very good, even though we often trek from our hometown to Bristol, Newport, or Providence for dining. Portsmouth has slim pickings when it comes to quality restaurants--15 Point and Fieldstone's only come to mind. Rocco's used to be on that list, but new ownership makes it a bit of a question mark right now. This place always delivers: a solid menu with a strong emphasis on seafood, a long cocktail list with prices still reasonable for the area ($12-$14), and reliably good service. Portions are generous and the food is consistently well prepared. We split the bacon-wrapped scallops to start, then had duck and a seafood pasta for entrées--both excellent. Highly recommended. And when the weather cooperates, the outdoor dining right on the water is a real bonus.

Our reservation was early enough that we were able to enjoy the gorgeous water views for a little while before the sun set completely. Both the food and service were superb. We each ordered a glass of wine (Relax Riesling for me). We were first served warm, crusty bread and olive oil with roasted garlic cloves. Our appetizers arrived shortly thereafter; we had both ordered the phyllo wrapped baked Brie served with crostini and a dollop of jam. So good and such a large portion that we each brought half home. Again, we each ordered the same for our entrees: a baked half lobster with seafood stuffing, served with a baked sweet potato and asparagus. Despite the amount of food it was so delectable we finished all of it. Dessert was where we differed. My cousin had the Key Lime pie; I had the Beignets, served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. They weren't true Beignets, more like small cinnamon sugar donuts, but absolutely yummy. Needless to say, we left the restaurant totally sated. We're looking forward to returning in the summer so we can enjoy a meal on their patio overlooking the water. Highly recommended!

After speaking to several restaurant owners (not associated with this establishment) I decided to provide my feedback. On Tuesday, 11/11/25, I ate at this establishment with two friends. The first thing I noted was the high prices for mixed drinks, in particular the apple fall spritz for $17, which I found outrageous. We ordered apps- hall of fame chowder, clam chowder and a cucumber app and several martinis. Let me start by saying that the service from our waitress was phenomenal, which is not always the case. I believe her name was Nancy and she was extremely attentive. I had gotten about half way through my Hall of fame chowder when I pulled a shard of glass from my mouth, after taking a bite. I checked my martini glass and there were no chips or missing glass so I knew that it came from the bite of chowder I had just taken. I politely informed my waitress who was overly apologetic and she notified the manager who approached the table a couple minutes later. He did apologize but managed to downplay the situation, almost acting as though it was not the restaurants fault. He informed me that they removed the soup and 1 martini from my bill, which I thanked him for. As we were leaving, I tried to say goodbye to the manger but he WOULD NOT make eye contact with me. I cannot recall if he did actually say goodbye but I had made eye contact with him as we were walking toward the front so he was aware that we were leaving. For me, it wasn't about what they could do for me- removing items from the bill or providing a gift card etc., it was the managers response to the entire situation that truly disappointed me. Overall, I find most of the menu and drinks to be overpriced. The location and restaurant itself is beautiful but the service in general is inconsistent (though my waitress on this day was by far the best I have had in the 15-20 times I have been). I can only hope that they did not continue to serve that batch of their hall of fame chowder to other patrons. Due to the managers lack of concern and overall disposition I would not return to this restaurant. The sign of a great restaurant, is having staff that are not only concerned with their customers satisfaction but most importantly, taking pride in the quality of the products they are serving. This particular incident could have ended tragically and the lack of concern was deeply troubling.
