Happy hour is from 4-7pm! At least it was on a Friday. Beers were $3 and that was for almost every beer on the menu! The atmosphere is nice too. It's a large bar that enforces social distancing. We tried what was called a Buzz Button that seemed to be advertised everywhere. It was weird. From what we were told it's a small dandelion that is supposed to numb your mouth when you eat it. It felt like a sour cotton ball in your mouth. I don't think I'd ever try that again. But besides from that, I'd be happy to come back. They have a bunch of different infusions and drinks that would be fun for any get together.

Visiting downtown Denver, I wasn't a huge fan of the Lodo district but this bar was a pleasant surprise. It was packed with a Santa Pub Crawl when we got there but the vibe was ambient, there was just enough space to get around and the bartenders were very attentive. The bathrooms could use a little work, but I digress.. The Coolest shot I've ever done was the buzz button shot here! They give you a buzz button (yellow flower) and a cup of their cherry infused vodka. You chew on the flower, get it all around your lips, throat and tongue and swallow after it's completely chewed out. You then take the shot, close your eyes and enjoy the show. It feels like the Disneyland World of Color inside your mouth. For those who haven't been to Disneyland, it's like pop rocks on steroids with a hint of cherry cola taste. So bomb, and it's lasts up to 10 minutes! I'm not even a vodka person and I ended up ordering another shot of that cherry one. The Refinery has tons of infused vodkas, gins, tequilas and whiskeys. As you walk up to the bar you can see them all in cases on the shelves in front of you. The ones I would come back to try would be the cilantro lime tequila, blueberry gin, and spicy pickle vodka. There were so many options I would have been there all night trying them if the shots weren't so expensive. Overall, super cool bar to hit if you're crawling around the LoDo district on a Saturday night!

Having heard the buzz around the infamous "Flower Shot" at the refinery my friends and I made our way here post-Rockies game to sample the mouth numbing effects of the Buddha Button! ++ They offer a WIDE variety of in-house infused spirits! ++ I really was digging the space! Exposed brick everywhere, gasoline memorabilia adorns the walls, and a clever little tin roofed storage area adjacent the bar. +/- Prime location makes it either the best place to go after a Rockies game or the worst given the crowd that flocks there. +/- There was limited seating throughout; mostly standing room. -- Crowded is an understatement. I understand it's in the heart of the Ballpark neighborhood and it was after the game; but damn! It was rough. -- The bartenders were either very understaffed given the crowd or they truly didn't care; but they were very inattentive to portions of the bar. The Refinery was def an "A-OK" start to our boozy evening in the Ballpark Neighborhood.

The flower that nobody knew the name of and was annoyed I asked. Sorry for being a customer.

I felt exactly how Michael G. from Denver described the service here in his post. It is really unfortunate that a place with an unique concept can have such poor service. There was hardly anyone in the bar when we visited and the flower in the mouth trick along with fresh squeezed apple with infused apple vodka is great. Here are some photos...too bad the concept does not get the type of service and helpful employee attitude it deserves.

I felt like I was sent back to college and entered into a sticky dive bar. Nothing to write about besides $5.00 drinks. It's on Blake street near the stadium so maybe I am just too old for this kind of scene anymore

The tables are fancy but the wall art tacky. The staff made us wait to sit together because tables were reserved but no one came for them.

The infused vodka drinks are $3 on happy hour, I don't remember what the rest of the specials where.

After 6pm, entry is restricted to guests 21 and over. The rooftop views are amazing, it is a great spot to relax, especially around sunset. The vibe is lively but still comfortable enough to enjoy a conversation. There is plenty of seating but it was crowded when we arrived but we were able to find some seats close to a fire pit to stay warm. They offer a menu of shareable bites with a global spin. We ordered the chips and guacamole made with avocado and fresh made tortilla chips. We split the braised short rib tacos with avocado, cojita and radish that came with three tacos per order. The steak tacos were very tender and plentiful with toppings. We also tried a variety of cocktails from their bar. Their winter drink menu that highlights warm and spiced cocktails, a curated wine bottle list, and a spectrum of Denver's favorite craft beers. I tried the mezcal hot chocolate that was served with toasted marshmallows on top. Also tried a peach mocktail and asked them to add mezcal. Both cocktails were elevated and hand crafted. Other people in my party tried the Elevated Old Fashioned with Brush creek strait bourbon, angostura amaro, dry curacao, honey. Service was friendly and efficient, and everything came out quickly. It's a great spot for drinks with a view, light bites, or for a fun night on the town.
