Accordingly to my DoorDash app, I've ordered at least 58 bagels from this lovely establishment (yikes, need to stop doing that, I digress). Every single time, my order is fresh, perfect, chewy, delicious, heavenly. My favorite bagel place in the bay for sure. The order is always right. Sometimes they run out of the muffin I ordered, and they always substitute with a delicious similar flavor and leave a nice note acknowledging it, which is appreciated. Most quick casual places would just cancel it or throw something else in there, but they give me a sweet little note with a "sorry" and a smiley face which is so cute! There's such a high degree of care in their packaging and preparation, everything's always packaged tidy and clean. So many flavors, and they don't run out early like lots of other places do! The cream cheese to bagel ratio is divine - always generous, but never over the top. Toasting is perfect too, it's never burnt. Even though Posh is a chain, it's locally owned and operated, so it really feels like a family style business. Eat this! You won't regret it! read more

M first visit to SF, Art's Cafe was closed, so I went to Posh Bagel, got a bacon egg and cheese on a salt bagel w/ well done bacon. I ordered a Asiago bagel with cream cheese, a lox bagel sandwich, and a Vietnamese iced coffee, which all came out to about $27. They have a large variety of bagel options and sandwich toppings to choose from! My lox bagel sandwich was very good with all the veggies on top as well. The Vietnamese iced coffee was okay.. better than a regular iced coffee, but definitely not as strong as I expected it to be. Whenever I need a quick sandwich I always end up coming to this neighborhood Posh Bagel. I do like the fact that you can customize your bagle how you want, as sometimes I'll add cream cheese to the garden Veggie bagle. The bagel selection is amazing, but definitely come earlier if you want some of their popular ones! But don't worry, they still have plenty later in the day. I've always come to this place when I go to Starbucks next door. I want to support local small businesses instead of adding the bagel to my Starbucks order. The issue I have is the service. I've ignored it for long enough and today I asked to see the receipt which they never provide. I order the same thing each time and sometimes the price is different. Today's reason for being different is that they charged a bag fee. No big deal I sometimes pay for a bag at trader Joe. I asked them for a receipt and they printed me another credit card receipt instead. They know why I was asking but was acting dumb. When I asked a second time, then she printed the detailed receipt and walked away. I stopped her and asked why wasn't I given a choice in the bag decision. The elder woman said they always charge for a bag. I said I understand you always charge for a bag. But you should always let me decide if I wanted a bag or not. It was more of our interaction that is the cause of this frustration. She could have raised the bagel $.10 and no one will care. But if you add an item to each transaction and not give people the choice and be shady about it, that's when I have an issue. read more

I don't understand why some Yelped bad customer service when is NOT!!! I been coming here for years & all the staffs here are nice, quick, & attentive. I don't feel like I'm being rush to order. Yes we all will encounter bad service everywhere we go at one point or another. All you have to do is ask to speak with a manager and explains your issue. Don't make other staffs look bad just because you have a bad experience with one. And about pricing increased, that's just about everywhere you go. I find it odd for a lox bagel to have pepperchinos and cucumbers but it went together well. However it gave me the runs afterwards and this was all I ate until lunch time. Ok so boom.... I generally order bagels from the posh bagel on my way to taking my daughter to school. Usually I order early in the morning right before they open so I can pick up my bagel at about 7:30- 735a. today wasn't any different. I ordered my bagel a cheese bagel did not necessarily need to be toasted when I got there. The bagel shop was behind so I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt since it said that my bagel wouldn't really be done until 7:40 AM ...now mind you I ordered my bagel at 7 AM. when I got there, they were behind, so you know... I waited patiently other people got their meals late, so I figured I would be getting mine soon. A gentleman walked into the bagel shop and he ordered like a super cheesy egg, bagel and coffee he got his order before I did, a GrubHub driver came in and he was a little annoyed because they were behind on his food. He got his order before I did.. then three other people walked into the store. They ordered bagels and paid for them. They got their bagel before I did, the ladies behind the cash register were rushing around and we're quiet when I when I asked about my bagel the lady said everybody ordered at 7 AM! it is now 7:50 AM and I said to them "so do I need to act like a Karen to get my food made" the lady responded to me as when did you order I showed her my GrubHub confirmation. She said "maybe you are at the wrong posh bagel" I responded with "is not 742 Irving St.?!" and it was! being the only African-American in the shop, I don't know if this was racism it does not seem like it was racism to me, but it was quite interesting to see how everybody who was not black, was able to get their sandwiches, made whether they walked in or they called in while my sandwich wasn't made until 8 o'clock a full hour after I ordered. it is very hard being black in San Francisco, and I really don't think it was only because I am black. But the lady in charge was very rude and seem to only want to serve the people in their restaurant who look like her. be wary that sometimes they are not keeping up with their orders and they could make you late for work or get you stuck in traffic. On a walk up Irving, we were very early for an appointment so decided to pop in for coffee and a bagel. They certainly had a variety of these but not sure how that relates to Port Out Starboard Home. This place definitely has so good bagels! I tried the cheese jalapeño bagel which was favorite and the cinnamon raisin bagel. The cheese jalapeño stood out to me because it was far more flavorful than the cinnamon raisin. I loved how the cheese topped on the bagel melted some, it made it taste so much better! Also those jalapeños were spicyyyy. They had my lips burning; the cream cheese and spicy combo complimented each other super well! However the cinnamon raisin simply wasn't giving. I felt that the cream cheese was overpowering the bagel. There simply wasn't enough raisins or cinnamon in my bagel. Overall pretty good bagels. In SF homemade bagels, I am on a search for a NYC bagel in SF so today I went to three place did not find my NYC bagel however found some good contenders like the one at Posh bagels, large fluffy chewy ingredients were superb bacon crispy, eggs fluffy and cheesy gooey, service 5Stars including super fast service, the variety was huge and fresh, the coffee was incredible it was rich creamy strong to wake my tastebuds and scream where has this cup of coffee been all my life!!!!!!! Having said that - I did figure out a combination of things I absolutely enjoy and that made me happy. Carbs are not the devil.
