Station Cafe is pretty okay! Located on SFSU campus right next to busy 19th ave bus and shuttle stops. There is usually a bit of a line but it's not too bad and they make the drinks pretty fast. Quality of the drinks is alright, especially if you're in the area and don't feel like walking to Cafe 101 or Peet's. They also sell some breakfast items and snacks. Pricing is pretty normal for a campus cafe. Overall, I've had good experiences here and I would come back. read more

There's always a line at this cafe. There's no line? Ah, well wait 2 minutes... yea, there ya go. I come here to pick up my rice and chicken bowls, my hot tea and my orange juices however the service is usually pretty slow , even with two people staffing it. They do have a microwave just like the HSS building, however people have the unfortunate habit of opening this one up, taking whats in it out and replacing it with their own food. It's a touch better than Cafe Rosso and right on par with HSS without the even BIGGER line they get after certain classes let out. So yea, three stars. read more

He is always in a miserable mood and will over charge you when you order. Example he charged me for almond milk when i clearly told him whoA few times I've ordered a hot vanilla latte and they've forgot the vanilla so i end up paying so much for hot milk and a shot of coffee. BE AWARE OF YOUR ICE COFFE!!!! When I order a hot coffee plain they handed it to me a warm cup of coffee. I thought it was just me since it was freezing and my hands were cold. I added a little sugar and cream and then took a sip. The coffee was cold. I walked up to the window and asked them to please put it in the microwave. The girl kindly said no worries I'll give you a new one she grabbed my first coffee open the lip and poured it into the ice coffee container. I was in shock that this had happened. I was running so so late and was late for a test so I left. I still love coming here for breakfast, lunch as well as a late snack. Staff members are friendly and service is very efficient. A bus/shuttle stop right in front and a metro stop across the street. I go to Station Cafe literally each day, primarily in the evenings when I work in the HSS Building. Each experience I have had with a Station Cafe employee has been phenomenal. The night shift employees always cheerfully greet me and inquire about my day, week, work, etc. Since I go there quite often, they not only remember my name, but also my order. If my medium coffee is a little cold due to the weather, they always offer to heat it up for me or advise me when the next coffee pot will be finished. Out of the times that I have ordered food in the evenings during work, the staff consistently get my order right (to be fair, they ensure to confirm my order with me a couple of times first). I love going down to get coffee from them because both Sam and Veronica go out of their way to ensure that each order is delivered efficiently and with a smile. read more

That would be me. I get coffee & a bagel, scone or muffin here every morning. Without fail. Everyone who works there is friendly & talkative. Hell, they even spotted me a free breakfast when I opened my wallet & found it empty once (I paid them back the following day, of course). If I didn't already have a kickass coffee shop (Cafe Abir) two blocks from where I live, I'd look into the possibility of planning a latenight Station Cafe kidnapping plot. All I'd need is a friend with a flatbed truck, some grappling hooks, black ski masks, etc. I think it'd look pretty nice on the corner right down the street from my house. I usually come here for my lunch break when I'm craving the special #3 bagel which consists of turkey, herb cream cheese, sprouts, and tomatoes. On their menu, it says "cream cheese" but it's actually the herb cream cheese that they use. Service is really fast considering people are catching the bus or rushing to class. read more

When I'm craving a big chocolate cookie before class, I make sure to stop by at this cafe. When I'm craving a snack before I get onto the shuttle to the Daly City bart station, I stop by the cafe. This place is so convienent to get to right before class. I've had their chai tea which was good until the bottom, where it gets way too sweet. Their macchiatto was pretty good, and I actually really like their mochas. They're not too sweet and heavy like Starbucks. I've also had their blueberry bagels with cream cheese and crossiants but I don't think I need to say much about it because they're things that no one could possibly mess up. And theyre probably from Costco or something, so it's good, but nothing special. So yeah, all in all, great breakfast food! read more

Ok, I think they may know me as a "turkey sandwich, no onions" girl, because often times that is my usual. Well, either that or a plain bagel with sun dried tomato cream cheese. In any case, this cafe is GREAT! They make great sandwiches, they are pretty fast, and they are very friendly as well. I really like that they accept credit cards regardless of how much you spend, unlike the cafe in HSS, which doesn't take credit cards at all (bummer!). I'm going to miss coming to this place almost every morning since I don't eat breakfast at home often. Well, I'd rather sleep for 15 more minutes than to eat. I'm in love with their Veggie Deluxe! Whenever I get it at cafe rosso, I don't know why, but they always mess it up. I like this place is cheap and convenient. But everytime the coffee is so terrible is either cold or burn. The only time you can get okay coffee is in the morning. Today is the day I finally give up on this place. I asked for a small coffee around 1pm and as the guy is pouring the coffee you can tell is the last of it is burn and old. You can tell the employee knows it and instead of making a whole new batch he shakes the cointainer to get the last of it. Dude they are paying you for this and is not that hard! Tsk tsk. read more

Good ol' Yelp, always on top of their closed/not closed listings. It's been back open for like at least 2 years now. Anyway. Functional enough coffee stop at the front gates of SFSU w/ sweets and basic salads and sammies. Prices are pretty good, but they usually only serve Peets "burnt to hide the inferior flavor" blecchy stuff (just can't escape Peets on campus anymore sadly.) The procedure is also weird - get cup at register, self-serve, but the hotness sleeve things are way over by the fixin's bar, so you have to walk over there first then back to the coffee THEN back to the fixins again, or try to navigate a gauntlet of oblivious headphone kids with a hot coffee gingerly balanced in your unprotected hands. #SFSUProblems read more

In my opinion, this is the best food vendor on campus. It's quick, consistent and has great hours. They have 4-5 varieties of coffee including something organic and fair trade, all from self serve pots. They also have bagels, sandwiches, pastries, candy, fruit, health bars, gum and pizza. They don't have the same selection of toppings for bagels as Natural Sensations in the Student Center but sometimes (most of the time) I'm too lazy to walk way over there for low fat cream cheese and lox. read more

Their sandwiches are really good ( I recommend the Pesto Chicken and Turkey Pastrami) and their coffees are decently priced, BUT the best bang for your buck is the large coffee at 1.75, the size of it is worth it compared to the other 2 (small and medium are not worth the price for the size). The very first time I came here, the coffee was cold. Since then, I've been back 5 more times and had no problems with the coffee (other than not being able to get decaf in the afternoon). They are open bright and early in the morning so you can get your fix before class, though there's usually a line at that time. The workers are quite friendly and helpful!
