Matcha Latte
Dani D.

The service and vibe were super kind, I really enjoyed that aspect of Cumaica. The low rating comes from the actual Matcha Latte itself. It was extremely clumpy, every sip I took had clumps. So I decided to take it home to fix it but when I opened it at home the entire bottom of the cup had a giant clump in it and the color was muddy green. This was obviously the wrong drink to get here and I'm not sure if the other drinks are better.

Warm and cozy coffee shop right in Mission Street and close to Ocean and Excelsior Avenues. Family owned business. - Coffee and Pastries. Very good selection. They have sandwiches and such available, as well. You will find what you want here. - Customer Service. Very friendly. They took the time to know their customers. They are very pleasant and would go above and beyond to provide the best service. - Location. Located at a very busy neighborhood, parking is very limited - isolated to street parking and one of the many smaller parking spots in and around the neighborhood. Best to walk or take the Muni. - Others. They have a book section where you can donate and get free books. Support local businesses especially these in our neighborhoods. This is a very good coffee shop that we go to and support. Relax, enjoy, and take a sip!

Good local coffee shop! Quick service, fine coffee drinks and good bagels as well! Plenty of seating usually is available, and they have a huge outdoor patio in the back as well! Nice friendly spot for a quick cup of coffee or sitting on the patio.

Couple of tables with chairs outside! :p

Rumor has it that Cumaica is a chain from Martha Bros! They quietly changed the name so that "San Fran" locals wouldn't think it's a chain. True? Regardless, regulars walk in anyway thinking it's the old Martha Bros until they hold their togo cup and realize! Must be the expired whiskey from the night before!! This place is huge though. There was even a large sofa to plop your stuff with free wifi. They have a couple of tables outside so you can people watch to your heart's desire! I'll try to see how my dogs will like it the next time I'm around. Service here was standard. My cappuccino was nice and strong, though; I wished they could make "FLAT COFFEE!" Something, that is extremely hard to find anywhere since most Americans have been "spoiled" with Starbucks, which by the way, it's a whole new topic! Cheers! :p

Had to re-order this frappe, the first one they gave me was watery!

I asked nicely if I can, get a different drink since the first one was watery and didn't look like a Caramel machiatto frappe. The lady in the register attitude, I was like well if you can't get me something else just throw it away and keep the money, and she was like OK and she threw it out. I was going to have my husband drink it, but she had already threw it out. So they made me a New one, this one was actually a frappe. On the way out the lady at the register was either getting a break or getting off of work. We exchange words, and she was like well it's not my business anyways so if you want to put a complaint just do it. She was very rude, I would just say terrible customer service!

This is not my favorite coffee place. To order, I had to call the baristas over both times I went up to the counter. They were more into their conversation than working. I'm not used to this at a coffee shop, where most baristas are very engaging, which is probably due to the fact they they are on a crap-ton of caffeine. My fiance and I both got bagel sandwiches, which were pretty good but kind of generic. The coffee was ok. I liked that they had a wide selection of coffees by the pound and the prices of everything are descent. But personally, I am not planning on going back here. There are so many little coffee shops in the area, so I will go to one of the others. Oh, and FYI: They don't allow refills on anything for a small fee like many coffee shops do.

Unprofessional staff and does not open when their schedule says they should be. Coffee is good but the food is not worth it.

Had the breakfast bagel sandwich. Omg! It was so good and HUGE! Great value for the money. This place is a must try. Better than Starbucks.

San Francisco is full of coffee shops and there is so many different ones throughout the city…read moreneighborhoods offering their own brand of charm. You can go for blocks in SF and find hardly any coffee shops and then go to certain neighborhoods where there are more than one coffee shop within a block. There is one located on Ocean ( not salty one ) Avenue in SF which has its own charm with drinks and pastries and it is called Charm Coffee. On a Summer stroll where rain drops fall and the sun comes out after I landed on Ocean ( not the beach) avenue. Inside Charm Coffee you will see a menu with toast and jam and grilled cheese like some in SF but you will also find avocado toast and cheesy quesadillas. They also matcha for Don Juan de la Matcha. I got the iced mocha which had a smooth taste and it was refreshing. I then I got the butter croissant which was flakey like some I seen on my social feed in SF. This place is a good place to make a pit stop on Ocean avenue. There is a "place" away from the "rat race" in SF which is a coffee shop with its own flavor and "taste" with a slower "pace" The weather is unpredictable in the Summer you better cover your "arm"and also be "alarm"if it rains you can go to a place to get organic coffee straight out a Latin American "coffee farm" and the place is on Ocean not the salty beach in SF but the avenue and it's called " Charm"

I went on a weekday and was hoping to get some work done. Most of the seats were available when I got there and the staff kindly shared the WiFi. They were overall extremely friendly and just their vibe made me want to go back again. I think a pitfall of a lot of SF coffee shops is the food, but both the drinks and food were superb and just what I needed to kickstart my day. They have unique flavors and seasonal drinks. I'm inspired to make my way through the menu! PS if you're a transit girly like me, this is right along the K line!

The staff are friendly and very focused when making drinks. The first time, I had a lavender vanilla latte and he had an americano. We had a good experience and I was highly impressed by the flavor of their house-made syrup. For the second time, I got an iced pandan matcha latte and my husband got a pandan latte. The pandan flavor was very nice and paired well with their matcha. We also got a spam musubi that hit spot on a Sunday morning. I expected a decent crowd since it was a work holiday, but I ended up being the only one there. Loved that! DRINKS: 8/10 SERVICE: 10/10 AMBIANCE: 9/10 What I ordered: Brown Sugar Toffee Nut Iced Latte with Oatmilk ($7.88) DRINKS: 8/10 I ordered a Brown Sugar Toffee Nut Iced Latte, and I thought it was good, just not the best iced latte I've ever had. Considering the price point and the size, it felt a bit expensive. To be fair, it's a specialty syrup drink, and I did substitute oat milk, so the cost makes sense. Still, I know other places that offer a slightly larger size for around the same price. My drink tasted a little watered down, but not so much that it ruined the flavor. I could still taste the brown sugar and toffee nut notes. I just wish the espresso flavor came through a bit stronger. On the bright side, I love that they use Califia Barista Oat Milk! SERVICE: 10/10 The staff were very friendly and charismatic, which added to the cheerful morning vibes... loved that! The barista made my drink fairly quickly, but I was also the only one there, haha. AMBIANCE: 9/10 This café definitely had a friendly, community vibe. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was a bulletin board and table filled with community resources, local services, pamphlets, news, and small business ads. I honestly love that. There was plenty of seating, with both group tables and bar stools available. The décor was simple yet cute, which added to the cozy atmosphere. PARKING: 9/10 (does not count toward rating) Parking wasn't as bad as I expected, especially since the café is located on a main street with nearby train stops. I appreciated that the parking spots were spacious, and there's also residential parking available. Since it was a work holiday, I thought it would be packed, but there was actually plenty of street parking.
