You know it's a Summer San Francisco day in late October when the San Francisco Sunset Strip is hot and sunny. Walking down Taraval street towards the beach there a few restaurants and shops which have great food and drinks. On my Sunset Strip stroll on Taraval street I ran into a place which has only been open for a month and serves food , desserts and coffee. I thought it was flower shop from the outside looking in. So I decided to check it out. Walking inside Marcel felt so refreshing .The layout had flowers and plants surrounding the entire place felt very harmonious. The decor has roses on the walls and around the windows along with plants planted inside around Marcel. They have lots of tables and seats inside. Since it's still Pumpkin season I decided to try their Pumpkin Spice latte with almond milk. It was delicious and not too sweet and it had a smooth taste. I decided to try their croissant and it was tasty with some almond filling inside but it was pretty flakey like some in SF. Come to Marcel it's a good vibe. Next time I will have to try the drink pot over called Panama Geisha and the Vancouver Swiss Water Decaf also known as the Ice drip. Get a coffee to stay awake at "Marcel "and grab flaking croissants and other bake goods they "sell" you can feel the fresh plant and flower rose "smell"it's located on Taraval on the same block of KFC and "Taco Bell" The Pumpkin latte has never tasted more " smoother" has an international items names like the Panama Geisha and Drip Ice from" Vancouver "this is the new spot and I am the "approver" of the croissant flake test with my special routine and "maneuver "

    Mom's Breakfast($11)

Was running some early morning errands nearby and saw this cute cafe around the corner and decided to get breakfast here and was decently surprised! Arrived around 9am and the restaurant was empty and decided to grab a seat instead of takeout. Seated immediately and was brought over the menu and a glass of water. The ambiance was sort of laid back and chill. The interior of the cafe had simple and contemporary European flair along with a bed of roses that lined the walls; very cool! Service was quick, helpful and attentive. I ordered: 1) Mom's Breakfast Plate(8/10) - I know it is just eggs and bacon, but it was executed really well! The portions to price ratio is a great deal in the city! For $11, you get 2 over-easy eggs, 1 slice of white toast(cut into 2), 5-6 slices of American bacon, 2-3 slices of breakfast ham and 2 scoops of potato salad! The American bacon was cooked really well, just the right amount of crunch and bite, without it being burnt or hard. Eggs were cooked to perfection and ham was savory. Overall an awesome breakfast plate if you like ham/bacon or are looking for something protein packed for the morning. A suggestion to the owner would be to possibly give a small side of grape/cherry tomatoes to add some freshness and acidity to balance the savory and fattiness of the bacon and ham. I wouldn't even mind paying a $1 or so more for that inclusion. 2) Black Diamond Latte(8.8/10) - One of the better drinks that I've had so far this year! I opted for oak milk and asked for "lightly sweet" and it was just perfect. The drink had a slight nutty and earthly undertone along with the creamy oatmilk; really enjoy the drink! At first I thought it was black sesame, but was told by the waitress that it was charcoal infused and/or activated coconut; which was very interesting to learn. Would come back for this drink again when I'm in the area! *For milk options, they have: oat milk, almond milk, 2% and lactose free milk* As I was leaving, I saw that the table behind me had ordered the Avocado Prosciutto Tartine and the portion size was big for that dish too; will have to come back to try that as well! Definitely recommend coming here if in the area for brunch/lunch!

    Valley Prosciutto Croissant

Lovely new place! We had the Mom's Breakfast Plate, the Valley Prosciutto Croissant and the Apple Pie. The eggs, bacon and prosciutto were really good. The croissant was golden and flaky, while soft inside, and the apple pie crust was just perfectly buttery. The vibe was relaxing and the service was kind and attentive. And just like that it became one of my go-to places for breakfast, brunch or lunch!

There is also a BOGO, of which it's supposed to be one offer per customer but someone bragged about having done four. The line snaked from heytea, down towards Whole Foods, and back towards Onigily, and then coiled towards Wanpo. There were several security guards ensuring the retail store entrances remained accessible, keeping people from sitting on store fronts, and stopping people from cutting the line. An employee came out to offer water cups to the front of the line, and another came to help customers start circling what they wanted on the flyer. I got to the cashier at 2:40 pm, then received my order by 2:55 pm and collected my magnet. I think it was ran as smoothly as it could be but I wish the several staff we had interacted with thanked us for enduring the wait. Instead the guy I collected the magnet from just told me to take a lot of pictures and share online - zero thanks for coming out, thanks for waiting, hope you enjoy, please come back. I'm sure all the staff are really stressed out too but a little human touch with the interaction would go a long way. This line wasn't worth a $8 saving and a collectible magnet, but it was 99% Asian community coming out excited and supporting boba/tea. So many passerby ask us what the line was for, and when they learned it was just for BOGO, they would scoff and say it wasn't worth the wait. The coconut mango boom and crisp grape boom were excellent with real fruit chunks. Security guards said although the mall opens at 10 am, they will not allow people to line up at the store prior, but they may have a barricade line outside or something. They also said no chairs are allowed. I recommend getting here early as I feel if I arrived 1 hour early, I may only have had to wait 1-2 hours rather than 4 hours. Or just wait for things to calm down, there's a heytea in Westlake Daly City and Metreon SF where you can just order ahead

Considering the long lines, 10 minutes wait after ordering was not too long. I ordered the coconut mango boom, which was delicious and refreshing and the pistachio drink with the foam was not too sweet and full of pistachio flavor. Will be back to try other flavors, when all the hype dies down.

We also had a free tea latte to claim on the Peet's app! Upon entering, it was busy, as expected since it's near the college campus. Very small shop, seating was limited. We placed our orders. I ordered my usual London Fog latte with heavy cream and SF vanilla, David ordered his cafe au lait with heavy cream and SF vanilla. We told the cashier we had a free tea latte to claim in the app and showed her our rewards. She seemed a bit confused and asked her colleague. They both came over to explain that we could t utilize our free tea latte towards the London Fog latte I ordered which is early grey tea with milk... hence, a tea latte. Strange. This is disappointing as we build our rewards up by coming into Peet's each morning to order a tea latte and cafe au lait. Hmmm.. Anyhoo. I enjoyed my London fog, David enjoyed his cafe au lait. We ordered an iced matcha latte for a friend who works at stonestown and claimed our "free tea latte" reward this way. They made it hot. I asked to remake it to iced, as ordered. I get it, they're busy here.
