Back on Geary boulevard looking for a place to enjoy a good lunch. I always find Geary to be more of a boulevard with lots of restaurants . If you try walking the entire distance of Geary which is over 5 miles and you find one of the most diverse food offerings of any street in San Francisco. You can find anything from Mongolian, Thai, Mexican, Mediterranean, Indian, Pakistan, Japanese , Italian, Spanish, Korean, Taiwanese, Chinese, Uzbek, Russian, and Vietnamese. There are also American food places along with fusion restaurants. There is one cafe on the corner of Geary boulevard which serves Banh Mi and bubble tea and it's called Geary Cafe. I stepped inside and they have lots of bubble tea available with flavors ranging from sweet to sour like some in SF. They have rock cheese sandwich and croissant with ham and cheese. I got the grilled chicken Banh Mi. The baguette was very soft and not too flakey like some in SF. The Banh Mi with the vegetables added a lot of flavor. I then got the BBQ Pork Buns and they were tasty and the buns came hot off the oven. The pork was tender and not too chewy and the buns were soft. A good place to land and grab something to eat and drink on the corner of Geary boulevard. Take a stroll on Geary boulevard and you walk through the Karl the Fog "thickness" to see Geary boulevard restaurants while you are getting some physical "fitness" and there are many international restaurants you will "witness" and you can enjoy a dish and drink and support a "small business" Grab Mediterranean food like the Israeli Chopped salad and Hummus at a Bodega and a Geary Cafe on the corner grab a Banh Mi which is "Vietnamese" or go to Jijime and get the Korean corn "cheese" and at Teawood Cafe get the mince pork sauce over noodles that are "Taiwanese" and grab some sushi and omakase at a restaurant called "Tomayo Japanese "

I walked about 30 minutes and arrived too early as the store did not open until noon. I walked out to Geary Blvd. and there was a lot of construction as I explored the area. I returned with only 14 minutes left before opening. The lady opening the store was raising the blinds on the windows facing the street. She unlocked the door shortly after noon and directed me to the kiosk to order. I knew I wanted the peach oolong milk tea at 75% sweet with no ice. It had been quite windy on the walk. Because of a coconut allergy in the family I had to ask if the popular mango pomelo sago had any coconut. Unfortunately, it has coconut (milk or oil?). As soon as I heard coconut, it was a no go. I wasn't familiar with pomelo and the lady told me it was like grapefruit. I still wanted to order a mango drink and went instead with the mango smoothie also 75% sweet with less ice. The customer following me asked about alternative milks which they do have. I overheard that they have oat and almond milk. Both drinks were excellent. The milk tea was not too sweet and I appreciated the peach bits in the drink. The mango smoothie was really creamy.

The menu seemed pretty standard with classic milk and fruit teas with a few seasonal specialties. We placed our order at the kiosk and waited almost 15 minutes for our drinks despite being the only customers in the shop. I ordered the mango pomelo sago drink since it was one of the few caffeine-free drinks on the menu, and it was tasty! The mango + pomelo + milk was an unexpected combination, but the sweet + tangy + creamy flavors paired together surprisingly well. I also liked the textural elements from the sago and fresh pomelo and mango. My mom and brother also really liked their fruit teas, so we will most likely be back soon.

You can tell they use good ingredients, and the texture was super smooth--perfect for a warm day. Service was friendly and pretty efficient, even though it looked a bit busy. The overall vibe feels casual and comfortable, a nice place to just grab something and go or chill for a bit. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is I wish the flavor had a little more depth or customization options, but overall still a solid choice. I'd definitely come back to try more from the menu.

This is definitely one of my favorite drinks now. The employees here hustle and provide really friendly service. When they got popular because of the mango sago, I think that was their prime lol. It was many years ago now when you can still sit inside. A few weeks ago, I ordered a mango pomelo slushy type of drink. It's photographed on the huge outside bestseller sticker. It is pictured as a bright mango colored slush with pomelo. When I got the drink it was a brown tan color like how a bruised mango would look. And when I drank it.... It was bland and rotten at the same time. I have no idea how something that tasted like nothing can be bad lol. I went back immediately so they can understand I didn't do anything to the drink. And the I asked if their frozen mango went bad somehow and a young guy from the back of the kitchen said "we used new syrup, I just opened it!" The main cashier seemed more professional and was trying to understand what was wrong and I explained to him politely that it tasted so bad. He let me switch my drink to the peach milk tea which was much better. I paid for an expensive drink but left with something cheaper which whatever not end of world but come on. I still went back a few weeks later and ordered a few drinks this time. I read out the FULL GOVERNMENT NAME for the drinks (2 peach drinks and a matcha Oreo) and the older lady said ok and when I ordered the 2nd peach drink she RUDELY said "yes I already put that in." So I told her I wanted 2 peach drinks, both different names. She then proceeded to say, "just tell me what you want and I'll put it". Now I'm like what... I just did, I told her 2 completely different drinks. Also, she knows I'm right outside bc she gave me the first 2 drinks out of 3 and doesn't give me the third drink. I had to ask her twice if she can give it to me. Maybe she somehow forgot after taking my order 10 minutes ago. Anyways I think she's the owner. lol. Been supporting this place for years, wish the inside can be spacious again. They use the whole place as an inventory for their multiple shops on Irving I'm pretty sure. Pleas take care of this location, I used to love it.
