The Point was an amazing place, it truly is waterfront and you can see many people having a great time outside. The food was absolutely fantastic, fresh off the grill and overall the taste was amazing. The atmosphere is good too, very nice looking place while I visited DC this past weekend! A pricier restaurant but a good one!

The inside and water view of this place was magical! But unfortunately the service here was lacking so much. Our server took a long time to get back to us after the initial meeting. Alongside the eggs benedict we ordered was cooked fully through and incorrect. The hostess was also over the place which was odd because the place wasn't packed at all. The saving grace was the amazing Chicken and Waffles which by far has been the best tasting and seasoned chicken so far. If you love seafood and views this could be a viable option.

Nice ambience! We sat at the fire pit for cocktails and enjoyed the people and the lively atmosphere l! Will be back for dinner!!

The point is a fun waterfront spot for happy hour and good bar fare. I've never dined in the restaurant but the bar is a great vibe for dining or dipping in along your walk along the water. I'm lucky that it happens to be on my route while walking my dog so I stop in from time to time. Very dog friendly space, and if you have good timing or patience, you should be able to get a spot easily. Bar staff are always busy but get to everyone quickly. A very good local spot.

Love The Point! The service and the food here are great every time. Came here with a group of 7 for New Year's Eve dinner. I ordered the cod with crabmeat side of mashed potatoes and broccoli & cauliflower and it was delicious! Almost everyone at the table got a side Ceasar salad as well and the salads were to die for. Strongly recommend The Point for a date night or a gathering with friends.

The Point is an seafood restaurant with an open air patio, fire pits and panoramic views. They have HH M-F 4-7 at the bars inside and outside. Since I sat at the bar the service was good and I can't speak for the service in the dining room. They have a great HH menu with a wide variety of options for both food and drinks at reasonable prices. I really enjoyed the shrimp and short ribs.

Visited this place while on vacation in D.C. It was suggested by a friend that lives near by. It was interesting getting there, not being familiar with the area it seemed like the UBER driver was taking us to a dead end street but once we got there it is very welcoming. We didn't have reservations but were able to be seated outside per our preference. The server came over right away and once we told her we weren't from the area and it was our first time, she offered many suggestions. The crab cake sandwich was one of her fav's and it was indeed very good. It wasn't like other crab cake sandwiches I have had in the past it was very little if any breading and was full of lump crab. The fries were amazing as well. We ordered smoked wings as a starter and man they were so good, you don't need any sauce on those things. There is a great view, the vibe was good, the food was good. It's a little pricey, but I understand it is probably typical for an East Coast restaurant. We took an UBER but it didn't seem like there was parking close, but not sure, check that out if that is a concern.

My experience at the Point was subpar. The service was not the best and the food was just okay. I ordered the spicy tuna roll, grilled cornbread, short rib, and the watermelon jalapeño margarita. The spicy tuna roll and grilled cornbread were on point! The sushi seemed really fresh. The short rib was just okay, not super flavorful. I did enjoy the mashed potatoes that accompanied it. The margarita seemed watered down to me so I did not enjoy it. The inside of the restaurant has a nice vibe to it! I would definitely try this place out for happy hour prior to indulging in a full dinner.

Nothing like a self-care day.... Awesome scenery to go along with an amazing meal !!

"The Point" what a fitting name for an establishment that seems to make a point with each dish it serves.... The atmosphere is so serene and the view of the water is mesmerizing. And once you dive into the menu, you will be in for quite a treat. The New England clam chowder was dancing with flavor, while the Cod & Crab meat entree left me planning my next visit from the first bite. And I must give a round of applause to the friendly and very efficient service I received ( polite, and extremely attentive) No question "The Point" has my vote and is now a must have in my book.

Great food and views! They have sushi, oysters, and lots of great seafood. Sit on the patio and the patio bar!

The food was great but the service ? Not so good we went in on a Wednesday evening and there were maybe 5 other tables one a large group the other 2 people and a full bar outside of 7-8 guest. The service after our appetizers was extremely slow. I would say it took about 20 minutes to get our drinks though one was missing and maybe another 40-45 minutes after that to get our food. After finishing our food another 25 or so to get desert and the bill. The crabcakes were great no filler and very filling. The crab donuts were basically a a sweet bread with a bowl of crab dip and it was amazing. I would definitely prefer maybe 4-5 pieces of the "donut". The sushi options are limited and sadly no crab option but the shrimp Tempura was pretty average not sure it's necessary for them to serve sushi here. The apple pie was amazing it was like an empanada and was served with ice cream which to me was the best part. The branzino was seasoned well and cooked to perfection

The point: drinks aren't that good, looks okay though

Located near the water, it has a decent view. 1. Drinks: not so good. But if you stick with beer, it is fine. 2. Food: I am not so fond of fried oysters, but people like it. Their brussel sprouts are popular. 3. Ambience: loud, lots of people. They have both indoor and outdoor areas, large tables great for big groups.

Went to The Point DC for Restaurant Week and left feeling underwhelmed. The first course was the crab dip, which was creamy but surprisingly bland and lacked the seasoning you'd expect. The donuts served alongside sounded like an interesting pairing but they were very bland and didn't complement the dip at all. The second course, grilled branzino, was the clear standout. It was cooked perfectly, light, flaky, and well seasoned. Dessert was an apple hand pie. The filling was fine, but the pastry wasn't crispy, which made the ending fall flat. Overall, service and atmosphere were pleasant, but for me with only one of three dishes really delivering, the meal was just okay.

The espresso tasted bland and cheap, yet the drink was seven dollars. As I started looking around, I noticed the dated furniture and heard awful, generic pop songs. People were reading, but no one was talking, so the music really missed the mark. Then I saw the little flavor powders on the counter. This isn't exactly authentic to traditional coffee shops, but it is authentic to a specific moment in the 90s, when cafes were bursting with life and culture as vibrant third spaces. These powders feel true to that era. And I honestly miss having them. I remember going to coffee shops w my mom when I was younger, ordering a vanilla frappe type thing and sprinkling the white chocolate powder all over. I paused to think about how they gave customers a sense of authority over their drinks. Adding your own flavors felt like a bridge from making coffee at home to embracing the abundance of coffee shops that seemed to boom in the states in the 90s and early 2000s. It was a sign of the times. And this café captures that. So, is the coffee bad and are the employees a bit rude? Yes. But it is what it is-and you can tell this place isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

I didn't want to eat at the hotel, so I checked my Yelp app and saw that there is a sandwich spot nearby. I decided to walk a few blocks and try it out. I was glad I did! It's a very unassuming place where you can sit down and have a lunch or dinner or you can get it to go. I decided to get mine to go. I was greeted by friendly cashier. She asked if it was my first time there and I said yes. She explained how the ordering process works and explained a little about each sandwich. I decided to try the RBG, which was $18. I believe all sandwiches are $18. I was a little surprised by the price, but I wanted to try it. The RBG is delicious pork sandwich with coleslaw and a soft, yet crunchy bread. Don't get me wrong. I am not a crunchy bread sandwich type of girly. But this bread was just right for this sandwich. I had the ability to eat the entire sandwich with the bread not becoming too soggy and falling apart. The pork was tender and flavorful, the slaw was crunchy and tart. It was a wonderful combination. The only negative thing that I have to say is that it is a really large sandwich! So, make sure you bring a friend to eat the other half...so you won't be tempted to eat it all like I did!
