[[HIGHLIGHT]]The Point was an amazing place, it truly is waterfront and you can see many people having a great time outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was absolutely fantastic, fresh off the grill and overall the taste was amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is good too, very nice looking place while I visited DC this past weekend![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A pricier restaurant but a good one!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside and water view of this place was magical![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But unfortunately the service here was lacking so much. Our server took a long time to get back to us after the initial meeting. Alongside the eggs benedict we ordered was cooked fully through and incorrect. The hostess was also over the place which was odd because the place wasn't packed at all. The saving grace was the amazing Chicken and Waffles which by far has been the best tasting and seasoned chicken so far. If you love seafood and views this could be a viable option.

I had such a great experience at The Point DC. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted and had an excellent waitress and attentive servers throughout the night. Everyone was genuinely kind, and the food came out quickly. I started with the mussels and they were so good I had to order another round. That's how delicious they were. The sushi and sashimi were incredibly fresh, so fresh and flavorful. The seafood risotto was also absolutely delicious, and the cocktails were complex and well crafted. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved the atmosphere and truly enjoyed every part of the experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If I'm ever back in DC, I'll definitely return. Highly recommend.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The point is a fun waterfront spot for happy hour and good bar fare.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I've never dined in the restaurant but the bar is a great vibe for dining or dipping in along your walk along the water.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm lucky that it happens to be on my route while walking my dog so I stop in from time to time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very dog friendly space, and if you have good timing or patience, you should be able to get a spot easily.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Bar staff are always busy but get to everyone quickly. A very good local spot.

Love The Point! The service and the food here are great every time. Came here with a group of 7 for New Year's Eve dinner. I ordered the cod with crabmeat side of mashed potatoes and broccoli & cauliflower and it was delicious! Almost everyone at the table got a side Ceasar salad as well and the salads were to die for. Strongly recommend The Point for a date night or a gathering with friends.

Visited this place while on vacation in D.C. It was suggested by a friend that lives near by. It was interesting getting there, not being familiar with the area it seemed like the UBER driver was taking us to a dead end street but once we got there it is very welcoming. We didn't have reservations but were able to be seated outside per our preference. The server came over right away and once we told her we weren't from the area and it was our first time, she offered many suggestions. The crab cake sandwich was one of her fav's and it was indeed very good. It wasn't like other crab cake sandwiches I have had in the past it was very little if any breading and was full of lump crab. The fries were amazing as well. We ordered smoked wings as a starter and man they were so good, you don't need any sauce on those things. There is a great view, the vibe was good, the food was good. It's a little pricey, but I understand it is probably typical for an East Coast restaurant. We took an UBER but it didn't seem like there was parking close, but not sure, check that out if that is a concern.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The Point is an seafood restaurant with an open air patio, fire pits and panoramic views.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have HH M-F 4-7 at the bars inside and outside. Since I sat at the bar the service was good and I can't speak for the service in the dining room. They have a great HH menu with a wide variety of options for both food and drinks at reasonable prices. I really enjoyed the shrimp and short ribs.

My experience at the Point was subpar. The service was not the best and the food was just okay. I ordered the spicy tuna roll, grilled cornbread, short rib, and the watermelon jalapeño margarita. The spicy tuna roll and grilled cornbread were on point! The sushi seemed really fresh. The short rib was just okay, not super flavorful. I did enjoy the mashed potatoes that accompanied it. The margarita seemed watered down to me so I did not enjoy it. The inside of the restaurant has a nice vibe to it! I would definitely try this place out for happy hour prior to indulging in a full dinner.

GREAT Valentine's dinner (and 7th Anniversary celebration for one of the couples) for our party of 8. [[HIGHLIGHT]]No complaints about the service (shout out to Pablo!), ambience, cocktails or MOST of the appetizers and entrees.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Japanese style fried chicken appetizer, sushi, salmon, seafood risotto, fennel sausage/onion pizza, smoked half chicken, and crab cakes were a hit. The lamb chops were a joke ... charging $45 for 3 lollipops is diabolical! The shrimp fried rice looked amazing but got 2 thumbs down for overall flavor and the calamari was a tad too crispy but not a deal breaker. The Valentine's menu was super cute. Those who ordered the Valentine's Day signature cocktails Point Punch and Hanky Panky were super pleased! (Cannot believe I missed pics of the cocktails!) Another MINOR complaint ... we just come here too much. Would love for our couples group to find their sense of adventure again butttt just being together is always a pleasure and a blessing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]On a side note ... with it being Valentine's Day ... we enjoyed watching all the outfits and flowers and overall fan fare with the new couples that came in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Nothing like a self-care day.... Awesome scenery to go along with an amazing meal !!

"The Point" what a fitting name for an establishment that seems to make a point with each dish it serves.... [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is so serene and the view of the water is mesmerizing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And once you dive into the menu, you will be in for quite a treat. The New England clam chowder was dancing with flavor, while the Cod & Crab meat entree left me planning my next visit from the first bite. And I must give a round of applause to the friendly and very efficient service I received ( polite, and extremely attentive) No question "The Point" has my vote and is now a must have in my book.

The food was great but the service ? Not so good we went in on a Wednesday evening and there were maybe 5 other tables one a large group the other 2 people and a full bar outside of 7-8 guest. The service after our appetizers was extremely slow. I would say it took about 20 minutes to get our drinks though one was missing and maybe another 40-45 minutes after that to get our food. After finishing our food another 25 or so to get desert and the bill. The crabcakes were great no filler and very filling. The crab donuts were basically a a sweet bread with a bowl of crab dip and it was amazing. I would definitely prefer maybe 4-5 pieces of the "donut". The sushi options are limited and sadly no crab option but the shrimp Tempura was pretty average not sure it's necessary for them to serve sushi here. The apple pie was amazing it was like an empanada and was served with ice cream which to me was the best part. The branzino was seasoned well and cooked to perfection

The point: drinks aren't that good, looks okay though
    Bella J.

Located near the water, it has a decent view. 1. Drinks: not so good. But if you stick with beer, it is fine. 2. Food: I am not so fond of fried oysters, but people like it. Their brussel sprouts are popular. 3. Ambience: loud, lots of people. They have both indoor and outdoor areas, large tables great for big groups.

Some kinda punch they had... THE BEST!!

This was easily one of the most entertaining brunches I've experienced in the DMV, while still maintaining an upscale vibe. From the singer taking special requests during brunch to the live entertainment afterward, drummers, dancers, and a saxophonist turning things into a full brunch party...we were thoroughly entertained from start to finish. What really stood out, though, was that the food matched the energy. At some places, you get great entertainment but mediocre food - not here. Everything was beautifully presented, served at the perfect temperature, and genuinely delicious. My friend was so impressed with her birthday celebration that she thanked me for days afterward. The service was impeccable, the space is stunning with plenty of Instagram-worthy moments, and despite how busy it was, it somehow still felt warm and welcoming. If you're in the mood to get dressed up, enjoy an upscale brunch, celebrate a special occasion, or impress someone on a date, this is definitely the place. It's also very noisy,to the point where it was hard to hear everyone at our table and our server had a hard time hearing us. They probably need to update their soundproofing or just have fewer tables. That actually led to some confusion about the "for the table" lamb dish we ordered, which seemed to come out as sliced lamb, seasoned as described on the menu, on a plate. Frankly, for the price it didnt seem like enough for our group of 6. Also, there were 2-3 flies around our table before we sat down. They eventually left, but that probably should signal there's more mess there than just wiping down the table takes care of.

The serving size of the dishes I ordered were medium to small. The service was far less satisfactory than food. I tried the following dishes: 1. Complimentary pita: ~40g per piece. Not salty and paired well with the other dishes. Definitely get some! 2. Lahmacun: The lamb+beef mixture was tasty. It came with 4 pieces. 3. Branzino: ~6oz. The fish was grilled to perfection; juciy tender, and the skin was nicely charred. It was served with freh parsley and seasoned grilled tomato (salt+oregano I think). 4. Imam Bayildi: Half of an eggplant topped with sauteed onions and tomatoes. While itself was pretty normal, it went so well with the Ottoman rice. 5. Ottoman Rice: The true highlight of all the dishes I tried! It was basically Basimati rice cooked with dried apricots, raisins, almonds & pine nuts mix, and seasoned with black currant. Overall it was warm, earthy and lightly smoky. The apricot slices added some delightful sweetness and juiciness to the dish. Should pair well with Labneh, chicken and seafood. But to be honest, I can simply eat this stuff along for a whole meal! 6. Tabbouleh: They went against the traditional recipe by substituting the bulgur with quinoa and added some pomegranate arils. I liked the special texture of quinoa. The sweetness of pomegrante arils also enriched the flavors. However, I had to constantly spit the seeds when enjoying the salad. 7. Kofte: Adana style ground beef patties. Just like what I make at home haha! I ordered it as an add-on to my salad at lunchtime. It came with only 2 pieces which weighed no more than 3oz in total... Despite the delicious food, service was disappointing. The first time, the dinner, was Okay. While my food came out slowly, at least my server was aware of it and asked me how I liked the dishes. The second time, the lunch, was horrible. Even before I was seated, my server made me feel that he was reluctant to serve me, and emphasized that I had to order asap. "Luckily", I had already decided what to order. After I got my dishes, no one in the restaurant asked me if the food was Okay. And at the check, my bill was thrown onto my table. In comparison, the two ladies dining next to me came even after I started eating, but were greeted warmly and were given lots of time to decide what to order; not to mention that the staff gave them lots of suggestions, asked about their dining experience, and even chatted with them about sightseeing in DC, etc. Such discrimitory treatment is really unacceptable.

The restaurant itself is stunning. Walking in, you're immediately greeted by the massive open hearth where much of the cooking happens. Watching the chefs tend the fire throughout the evening adds another layer to the experience and sets the tone before your first bite even arrives. Our server explained the tasting menu ($95 per person) and optional wine pairing ($75 pp), but we decided to order à la carte--and I wouldn't change a thing. We started with the Carrot Havuç spread. It was impossibly light, silky, and beautifully whipped. I'll admit, the bread seemed understated at first, but after the first bite, it became clear that the spread was meant to be the star. Every bite was packed with flavor. The lamb shish kebab was incredibly tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The Omani shrimp arrived with five enormous shrimp that were cooked flawlessly. Then came the whole roasted chicken. Watching it roast over the fire as we entered made us excited, but nothing prepared us for how incredible it would taste. It was, without question, some of the best chicken I've ever eaten. Moist, deeply flavorful, beautifully seasoned, and delicious completely on its own. It came with an accompanying sauce that was excellent, but honestly, use it sparingly--you don't want anything distracting from the chicken itself. When a dish can stand entirely on its own, that's greatness. Since it was a whole chicken, we happily went home with leftovers (which felt like winning the lottery). The cocktails deserve their own standing ovation. A special thank you to Nancy upstairs-- Great bartenders don't just make drinks--they elevate the entire experience, and she certainly did. The Serpent was beautifully balanced with bright citrus and herbal notes, while the Medina Palmer was refreshing, unique, and one of the most memorable cocktails I've had in a long time. Every drink felt carefully crafted rather than simply mixed. In the beginning of our night they asked if we were celebrating anything and I immediately answered, "my friend graduated from nursing school." Little did we know, they came with glasses of bubbly at the end of our dining experience to celebrate! Such a lovely gesture to end our evening. The word that kept coming up throughout dinner was divine. Service was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about guiding us through the menu. A few practical tips: * Reservations book well in advance, so plan ahead. * Street parking is limited. We chose to Uber and were glad we did. This was one of those meals where every course made us look at each other and say, "Wow." I can't wait to return.
