I've had really amazing pho in the Silicon Valley and Bay Area. I came in with lower expectations of the pho and I ordered the filet mignon pho. The flank steak in the pho was tough and broth was loaded with msg. I was searching for water all day after I went to the pho. It's a really good location, service was pretty good, but the broth and quality of the ingredients needs to be changed a bit. Also the noodles were falling apart meaning it was cooked for too long. I will try it again in a few months to see if the broth is better. read more

This restaurant is super pretty, clean and reasonably priced but the pho is just ok in my opinion. Also super disappointed in the veggie pho as it's mostly imitation meats. I once got the bahn mi and it was only meat and cucumber (hoping it was a fluke.) The spring rolls are great however! It was decent. They got our orders wrong and everything is overpriced. I ordered a small chicken pho, but got the large. The noodles were soggy. The pho broth tasted like it came from a jar. My friend ordered the chicken pho, but with shrimp instead and she got everything (flanks, tendons, tripe). The waitress that took our order was nice, but she couldn't get anything right. My milk tea was bland and for $5 the drink was small. Don't be fool by the pictures they post on FB. It's a closed up. The inside of the restaurant was nice. However, I won't be returning. Came to the soft opening. The pho itself is very well made, broth is flavorful and vermicelli is cooked just right. The small bowl's portion of generous, I was able to finish it all feeling satisfied yet not bloated. The atmosphere is nice, modern and clean decor. The service was okay, at best. We didn't get our drinks until after we were done with our meal. We were waiting for a To-Go order that apparently had been ready for a while but was just placed on a counter. We had to ask for them to notice. I asked for chicken pho but the server said they only do beef broth. There are other pho places in town that taste better, have better service, and better pricing. read more

Came in for grand opening special. I haven't tried the food yet, but the wait is crazy. Called in plus wait time was 50 minutes... This really kills the mood for everything. Staff are new, and some of them are disorganized, seems fluster... Perhaps more training are needed... updated review. I am very disappointed. The food here is not authentic. Their pho broth is not made with bone broth as they don't coagulate the next day in cold. Their chicken rice is not the real chicken rice. the rice seems like just colored with whatever additive they use, instead of how we do it with chicken oil. their sauce is not the green onion oil sauce. Their chicken just bland shredded chicken. Their drink is sweet like hell, and not the authentic ones you can get from asian resturant. Customer service is awesome. The food tastes great and the price is reasonable. The wait time is not long and everything is clean. I have yet to try any of the drinks besides the Vietnamese coffee. The coffee is super strong! Tastes better when you add the boba. I come here often and will continue to do so. Definitely recommend. read more

The Pho here is delicious! Some of the best I've ever had. They have all the sauces available for you to spice not up to your liking as well. We also ordered their shrimp roll and pork rolls. The pork rolls were good, but the shrimp were my favorite. Such good flavor! There Thai tea was very good as well. I definitely recommend eating here. read more

Not trying to be mean but giving my honest opinion the father was not made well my soup was served warm not hot my meat was cut way too thick and in really big pieces my meatballs were also too hard..my nephew got fried chicken and it was not good he only ate the rice we have been excited waiting to try this restaurant. Been wanting to try this place for awhile. Took mom out to lunch and don't think I'll be back. Place was clean, service was good. Pho broth was very tasty but the meat was Not good. I took all the chicken out of the soup, had strange taste and a bit fatty. Needed lime, not lemon. Egg rolls were very greasy, and way smaller then picture showed. I ordered BBQ Short Ribs ToGo for my son and they were extremely tough and chewy. Spring rolls were good but peanut sauce a bit grainy. Think I would only come back for Broth only to make my own soup with. (I'm not a fan of posting negative reviews as I know others may have had great experiences). I've been to many pho spots in the area, this is arguably the best. Really fresh, clean, and the broth is full of flavor. The soup comes out nice and hot and you can tell that the quality of the meats are top notch. Highly recommended. One thing to take into consideration for the owners would be maybe creating a vegan pho. One of my friends,who's vegan,would love to try, but can't due to vegan restrictions. Just something to consider and it would attract many more customers to this great business! read more

Nice decor, clean restaurant. A pho shop that actually opens the AC (inside joke). Seriously some pho shops I been to, barely open the AC to try and save money. Not here it was over 100 deg outside, I had hot soup in front of me and It was nice and cool inside, that's a plus. So I ordered the large combo special with filet mignon. First off Pho is my favorite food, and I'm very particular. Broth was flavorful, nice depths of flavors, and clean tasting, and not the too much msg or too much fish sauce kind of broth you get at some other pho places. If you don't think this broth has flavor, you been fooled by msg, carry a bag with you next time. Anyhow, I really enjoyed the fillet mignon, meat was so soft and thinly sliced. Rare steak slices are generally one of my least favorite because they tend to be tough, but the filet, wow it was so tender, I highly recommend it. My only complaint would be the flank could have been sliced thinner. Also please get an alcohol license, we like our beer. All in all I recommend this place, good food, staff was friendly, and attentive, restaurant is clean. I would come back for that filet mignon pho, and A/C Hah! read more

The pho was good. The spring rolls and chicken rice was a disappointment. I get that they are focusing on a simple menu but the spring roll was really small and the filling is mediocre mostly lettuce no mint no cucumber just a couple pieces of shrimp and peanut sauce which I am not a big fan of. Chicken rice really bland I think they need improvement on this dish if they are focusing on very few items. So far very nice clean restaurant I will try it again in the future. read more

I have been looking for Pho restaurant in Modesto and found The Pho. I can say this is one of my favorite Pho restaurants in Modesto. First of all, I love their design and the decorations are very nice. The staff are very friendly and willing to help whenever I need something. I ordered the BBQ short ribs rice plate and this is one of my favorite ever. Their meat is so good and I love the Kimchi that comes with it. Well 1st off I don't think I've ever paid so much for a large Pho an gotten so little. It was like they split 1 pack of noodles between 3 bowls??. The flavor was good,the spring rolls were not. My iced vietnamese coffee tasted like iced foldgers. Maybe because they are new?? I probably won't be back. Not to sure how they got 4 stars on Yelp. The bbq short rib plate was the best thing we ordered although we ordered it for our little one not any of the adults. The pho is right because that was literally my reaction when I received my order for their excuse of a banh mi. I have never been so disappointed in my life. We got the combo banh mi which tastes like straight soy sauce and cilantro on bread. There was the smallest amount of pickled carrots, PAPER THIN meat that you maybe got five slices of, and pate that might as well not be there with the little amount that they put. We also got the bbq beef sandwich which maybe had half a skewer of meat, too much sauce, and some strand of carrots. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more
