I was recommended to try a grilled cheese here, so that's why I had to visit this establishment. My friend ordered a regular grilled cheese, and I ordered a Philly cheesesteak grilled cheese. We both ordered beers. Honestly, the grilled cheese is nothing to rave about. I can make the grilled cheese twice as good as the one that I had here. Given the price, I would expect the meal to be more delicious. I have high expectations, and I can easily say that my expectations were not met here. I do appreciate how extensive the menu is. But if it's not good, I have no reason to come back.

Really good cheese sauce (needed for dry burger)

Huge diner like menu, expensive, tons of drink options. Went for Kentucky Derby and it was just ok. Apparently they have "award winning burgers". I tried the cajun cheddar cheeseburger (cajun seasoning, two onion rings, lettuce, tomato, cheddar) with cajun fries. Also asked for side of cheese sauce for fries. They cook cheese into bun which is bizarrre. Hardly any cheese at all! Burger is super dry and needs ketchup or sauce. Thankfully got cheese sauce to put on burger. No way this is a top tier burger. Also tried meatballs (huge and good but again hardly any sauce and dry). Sadly, best part of meal was cheese sauce lol.

Service was great. Atmosphere was very welcoming and cozy. All of our food seemed to be universally understated though, to the point of making it nearly unpalatable, My wife ordered Prime Rib which had nearly 0 taste and seemed like it had been in a steam table of some kind bc it was so tough. I ordered the veal parm which had the same issue, a little salt but nowhere near enough. I don't know if they're trying to be mindful of their senior clientele, but our meals were def underwhelming.

Mashed potatoes & gravy burger with onion rings. Meatballs with sweet peppers & onions

We arrived late after driving all day to Philly and there weren't too many options open after 9pm on a weeknight. This place was a pleasant surprise. The menu was diverse with ribs, chicken, burgers, pasta-something for everyone.. Of course my first choice was pasta and it wasn't available late so I had meatballs w/sweet peppers & onions. My husband had the mashed potato & gravy burger. I ate one meatball (they are as huge like a softball) and took the other one for later. My one complaint would be that the to go container w/foil & styrofoam doesn't work well for hotel guests w/limited utensils. We improvised and split the meatball into 2 paper cups to reheat after the Philly Dead & Co show, it was still delicious

Big portions of food, solid service. Just not overwhelmed with their menu options. Still haven't found something I actually liked there.

Love Phil's for its typical, but expansive "bar food" menu. Most portions are huge; large enough to be shared by two people.

What really makes it unique is the fact that you can place your food order and then go grab a craft brew in a plastic cup and then walk back to get your food. Or, if you prefer to bring your food to the bar area, you can do that too. We had a hankering for burgers and wanted to give Lucky's a try. I'm glad we did and it was an enjoyable experience. We ordered a share basket of fries which were perfectly cooked crinkle fries. They had ketchup available as well. We each got a burger, one classic and one Oklahoma style which had two patties. The classic had more of a Kaiser roll whereas the Oklahoma had a potato bun. The meat was fresh, not frozen and cooked nicely on a flat top. The onions on the Oklahoma were sliced incredibly thin but for some reason were not soft enough to bite through (my only disappointment). It's easy to find as the doorway is right down from Rita's on Ridge Avenue. Give it a try!

Since they are not open for lunch during the week I made sure to stop in on a Saturday in November to grab a burger. Normally I'm a burger purist but on this trip I decided to go with their Oklahoma Onion Butter Burger and a side of fries. I paid via credit card when I ordered.(they were not accepting cash). After about 10mins or so my order was ready. The burger has (2) patties and onions. Flavor was on point but the overall size of the burger was small for me. I could have easily eaten two of them. The side order of crinkle cut fries was equally small and they were just warm. Overall the meal was good and I would eat here again. However if I'm craving a top notch burger I will probably choose one of the other options in the area.

Recently, The Godfather of Meat did a keen review and video, in which everything looked awesome. It took us about 45 minutes from Emmaus, and it was worth the trip. House made roasted beef with the house gravy on a sensational Kaiser roll -- was what we came for and they delivered! Piled high and fresh with provolone cheese. This is the best beef sandwich I have had in decades. Simple quality at its finest! This has quickly become my gold standard classic beef sandwich. The "Matt Fries", were interesting and completely unique: fresh crispy fries topped with generous black pepper, old bay seasoning, Parmesan cheese and Turkey gravy. It worked! We enjoyed them and the large portion was more than enough for 2-3 people. Steph Rush very much enjoyed the mussels in red sauce -- another generous portion, served with was bread. I had an order of the cold shrimp , which is weekends only. Fresh, cooked perfectly and extra horseradish in the cocktail sauce by request. We were overjoyed with what we ordered and I love they have birch beer on tap, my favorite! The joint was packed and busy, our waitress had her hands full in her section. We are looking forward to a return trip ! #rushieeats

We secured the last booth available, ordered our drinks and anxiously awaited the infamous beef sandwiches. To say I was disappointed is a bit harsh, but worthy of such high accolades they are not. It is a decent fresh made beef sandwich, but nothing compared to DiNics. I would also rate Bob Morton's over this sandwich as well. Probably on par with Old original Nicks in Springfield- but their gravy fries are superior over the Olde Ale House. We also ordered wing that were overcooked , dry and only adorned with basic hot sauce, lacking the flavor profile we prefer. A good place to try, a decent sandwich and friendly service. A full 3 stars and another beef under our belts. Onto the next.

We decided to try Salt & Stone recently since it was a new spot and this place did not disappoint. Upon entering the establishment, we were greeted by none other than the owners. Zara & Dimitri (not great with names but I think that's what they said) were very welcoming and patient as I inquired about all the work they've done with the interior. It looks a lot nicer inside than the previous restaurant. Now the important part. The food. Absolutely incredible. I am still disappointed I didn't try this place earlier. We started with the goat cheese lollipops (amazing), Mezze, and calimari (high quality). After the first bite, I knew we were in for a great dinner. For the main course, I ordered the Rigatoni & my wife ordered the pork chop. Both were top notch. I love a good old fashioned and I enjoy other people's takes on this.
