WOW. I could eat that all summer. Moving onto the main courses, a perfectly cooked NY strip & root veggies with a love boat of fresh sauces. Chimi, steak butter, and a horseradish crema. As if the steak needed any sauce, but with that trifecta?? I couldn't help myself. Incredible. The other entree, a risotto and shrimp. Incredibly flavorful, complete with crisp English peas. As I write this, I wish I had another plateful. The bartender is the Chef's little lady, & she was a GEM! I cannot remember her name, but she goes to estate sales, and thrifts the beautiful dishes and glassware that they use in the restaurant, which I thought was so neat! These two truly have put their heart and soul into this little place and you can tell. The menu is of a smaller variety, but variety for sure. Chef Eric changes the menu up daily/weekly, so you never know what you may get, and I think that is honestly one of the best parts about this place. Two bars located inside and out on the porch provide two different vibes. The al fresco option adds another way to enjoy. We chose to sit at the porch bar for a more casual vibe. Our bartender/server was great. He was friendly and professional, yet laid back. We shared two appetizers and loved them both. The Pimento Cheese & crackers had quite a zip to it. Ask for an outside table and no sooner did we sit down, the dolphins showed up!!! I consider myself an expert on dolphin spotting and had to show the table of 5 college age young ladies where they were located. They loved them as well. Who knew they would be so active in the middle of a busy waterway? As a former boat owner, I love watching those huge honkin' boats parallel park in between the baby ones. I do not have that skill , but it's entertaining to watch. Tyler was our server and was nice and attentive. Drinks were cold and quite good. I ordered a house Chardonnay and it was Cambria. Not crazy expensive either! Had shrimp tacos and steamed shrimp. So many steamed ones that I had a full meal the next day. I look forward to trying many more dishes. They have a nice large bar at the entrance, and the dining area has booths on two sides for a romantic experience and tables in the open middle. We had great friendly service with Meg, who made great suggestions, and kept checking us all night. Langdon's menu is very traditional with oysters, salads, steaks and seafood. This trip we enjoyed Rockefeller oysters (yum!), duck meatballs, and a romaine salad. Each bite was delicious, flavorful and cooked perfectly. For entrees I went with Shrimp & Grits while my husband enjoyed the market fish. Both were amazing entrees and which we paced it out to enjoy. With dinner we also had a few cocktails and wine, which added greatly to our experience. Langdon's is an elegant location to enjoy in Mt. Pleasant, and you get a classic dining experience.
