The Pemberton is such a VIBE! We went on a Friday night, and the line to get in wasn't bad at all. The Pemberton is where local art, food, music all meet and coexist with each other. You sort of feel like Alice in Wonderland making your way through, so much to take in and experience. We did stop by the martini bar and got an espresso martini and by the taco bar for some delish tacos! This is a great spot to go to if looking for something fun to do on the weekend! I am not sure how I've lived here for four years and have never been here! Finally came here on First Friday for June celebrating my friend. It was the last stop of the night and I was so impressed. I know it was closed for a while but I am so happy to have checked it out after reopening! Had a GREAT drink and I love the atmosphere here. The vibe is pretty individual so you and your group can find a pocket to hang out in for the night, or you can walk around and explore the art installations built in to the Pemberton. Didn't interact too much with any employees other than the bartenders, but they were great! Overall loved this place, and I feel like I only saw half of it. Can't wait to come back! Attended the pool side Sunday party and this location is so beautiful and filled with so much art. I loved how although we came for the pool party vibes, you're also able to tour the beautiful art pieces along the walk around. My group of bachelorettes had a great time at the pool party, the AZ weather was definitely hitting strong so a dip in the pool was perfect. I decided to order their Bacon Breakfast burrito and my god did it steal the show! The service was fairly quickly once ordered, our server was kind and brought me every salsa available. They truly did not disappoint, a couple with a spice and just wonder overall flavor. After enjoying that great meal, the security guard was also very nice to show me an indoor area where I was able to cool down a bit. He really went out of his way to assist so shoutout to him! Cannot say enough good things about this place! I'm so glad it was brought back because it's a lot of variety in one spot. My friend and I went on 3/14, their 2.0 opening night and it was a blast. They had live music in a few different sections, a dj was posted up on top of shipping container where there was VIP access only. The honeycomb seating area had me already planning how to host my upcoming bday party here in April! The Candyland trail was a sweet addition and we followed it for a while through the maze that is the Pemberton. When they say the drinks are spicy, they are SPICY! but not in an overwhelming way. On our 2nd round of drinks I had a spicy El Arabe that hit hard on the first sip and then continued to be super enjoyable the rest of the time. My friend had the black michelada and it was basically a bloody mary with a modelo, I don't usually like bloody marys but I had a couple sips and actually really liked it. They had so much seating here but I would still call to make reservations in case you want specific indoor or outdoor seating. Oh what a time was had. Great space for a large group, we were 20 deep. The line at the door moved quickly. Men expect a full pat down, ladies expect a bag check. This is one of my favorite places to hang out in downtown Phoenix. The ambiance is amazing, the drinks are reasonably priced, and the music changes several times as you're wandering through exploring! The Black Flamingo is THAT SPOT! ​I will say one bartender at the Black Flamingo is extremely rude! The guy with the blonde hair and glasses. Last night was the second time he totally ignored me sitting at the bar and continued to take other drink orders from people who came up after me. I was waving and everything to get his attention to no luck. I left and mentioned this to the bar manager downstairs and she apologized for his lack of acknowledgment. She did make a nice offer as she said she remembers me from my visits there (which I appreciated). ​I just want to say bartenders like him are a risk to the establishment. If one can't work well under busy circumstances or WORK WITH PEOPLE OF ALL COLORS, working in an establishment that welcomes EVERYONE isn't for him. Came to the Pemberton Wednesday night for Trivia with friends and had a ton of fun! The space is quite large with a lot of hidden areas. There's a ton of seating and bars and fun colorful decorations, murals, and art displays throughout the property. A perfect photo spot. We played trivia at the main house for gift certificate prizes. They had great Happy Hour specials for drinks and food. I enjoyed the mango margarita and we shared the carne asada fries which were really good. The service was quick and friendly. I really liked this spot and look forward to coming back during the weekend when more of the bars are open. They have a pool area as well and they seem to schedule some fun events. I heard the property also rents out its spaces for parties and gatherings. They have tons of themes based on vibes and countries. I look forward to also checking it out in the winter for the outside seating areas with creative spaces. read more

So to start off, I am writing this review while comparing it to the old Pemberton since I got to experience both versions. Personally the way Pemberton was before it had shut down was my favorite due to the lax feel of it all. I think it had a lot of potential to be better while keeping the same fun ambience it had, but with the change, it kind of changed the overall local vibe the Pemberton originally had. With that being said, if I take the Pemberton and enjoy it for what it is now, I'd say overall, it's a pretty good time. I enjoy how many bars they have and how they're all themed differently since it keeps things fun and entertaining, and the variety of drinks is nice as well. Each of the bartenders at each place are so nice and accommodating even when they're so busy, and that I can appreciate. Although it's missing that nice local feel it once had, it's great to see them featuring local artists artwork throughout the whole space and featuring events that bring the community together as well such as pool parties, night markets and more. I love how they've been promoting the space more and more and making it a good time and aesthetically pleasing as well. The candyland area and beehive seating is my favorite. Overall a very fun place to take your friends to, and enjoy some good drinks for a good price, and you can't go wrong with the music there too! I recommend this to everyone I come across! read more

It's hard to hate on the new Pemberton given by design, it's endlessly entertaining and meant to constantly capture your attention. I enjoyed all the food and bev I consumed here, the cocktails overall were a step up, outside the sorely missed Baby Boy booth. But what is missing and may never come back is the charm here. The central house which once used to house local artists and shops, is now quarantined for kitchen space. The unique items you would get to find exploring around, all homogenized. I thought they would at least keep the concept of different bars and vendors in different areas, but for the most part, you can now get service anywhere and order the same food and bev anywhere in the area. The staple vendors are replaced with just a few pop ups for street food and that's it. Really removes a lot of the uniqueness from this place. Also, there's no more dance floor. And possibly way too many seating options? Feels like they could have found better use of some spaces. But overall, the new Pemberton is a marked improvement. I just hope overtime they realize more of what made them special before. read more

The Pemberton reopened recently after closing for almost a year to go through some renovations. It closed abruptly and staff were left without jobs they'd expected and needed, so some people may choose not to come here. There are also rumors that the owners didn't pay their previous vendors or everyone who worked on the renovation. Not great, and I hope they correct this. In its previous iteration there were several food trucks to choose from, where now it seems like they only offer a single option with it's main site and a small outpost, and they plan to rotate which food truck concept they feature. Personally, I miss the variety. The truck that was there when we were smelled really good, but didn't have a huge menu and it was hard for me to find anything I'm allowed to eat on my (temporarily slightly restricted) diet. The DJs were great, we danced for hours! There are also new art installations which are so cool, and seemingly more seating was added. There are tons of photo ops, and it's a great place to people watch with a mix of people of all ages. There's no dress code, but kind of a club vibe. read more

I didn't have the privilege of visiting this place before the revamp. This place is literally iconic, I love the art so much it was such a vibe. I will definitely be coming through here more often. Between the live music, the beautiful art, all the fun little places to sit and feel secluded. And the food! Happy hour was going on and the wings were perfect with homemade ranch. It's remarkable what they've done to transform this great space. While the prior incarnation tended to be lifeless and incoherently laid out, it now feels gorgeous and more streamlined. Small passage ways around tho so once it's busy is a bit hard to get around in certain areas , love all the new installations made like the honey comb seating area to the Vespa type bike etc... they out done themselves and I like that the center building isn't being used anymore ! And there foood really freaking good for 8 bucks I got the shrimp taco so flavorful ! Best shrimp taco I've had in a long time they also have a lot more security than usual, which as you can tell a lot of people on here complaining about apparently they don't like how many security there are and how they check you before you arrive but let me ask you this. Would you rather get hurt through gun violence or be safe in a huge open space where they have people checking others to make sure they don't have those items in. Makes me feel a whole lot better being in such a big space knowing that somebody like that isn't gonna be carrying anything. As well as they do not let you smoke or vape here so the security is to watch people from doing so they kick you out right away to keep the art from being damaged. The space at the Pemberton is a unique space unlike anything I've experienced before. The size of the lot is about an acre and it goes far back. At every turn, there is something new to discover! With seating everywhere, it would be a wonderful place to come with a group of friends when the weather is nice. The main house has a few unique shops in it, including a sex toy shop, crystal and healing shop, and a flower shop upstairs that you can only get to from the back side of the house. Little travel trailers are set up all around the property and house varying drinks and cocktails and even a cute little vintage clothing store. The Pemberton is truly a staple in the community. This is one of my favorite places to get lost in while in Phoenix. The concept is so unique & has something for everyone. Once you arrive, you are met with all types of different food trucks & vendors which they are constantly switching up. You can grab a cocktail, some great food, & do some vintage shopping. As you get lost, you will stumble across an airstream in the middle of the property. Baby Boy has some great drink options, and my favorite is the Oaxacan Daiquiri. You can't go wrong with banana, hibiscus & mezcal! This is such an artsy vibe & all the vendors are friendly. You will meet some cool people inside. Parking can be tough sometimes depending on activities in the city. However, I have brought all my friends & family who are visiting Arizona here, and they LOVED IT.
