The patio is pretty close to my work, so we come here often. It's more of a 3.5* in my opinion, but nothing has ever been terrible so I'll give it 4 :) keep in mind BBQ is not my favorite category of foods, but I get roped into coming because I work with a ton of dudes. The food is always consistently good, if not a bit pricey. What's with having to order sides separately?! BBQ I get, but not even the sandwiches come with fries. I usually get the fish tacos or the chicken/pork bbq tacos. The fish are a great, lighter lunch option. Get a side of the salsa verde with it! Salads are on the small side, as are soups. Great BBQ considering it's not located in TX. My wife had the grilled Caribbean Mango Salmon with garlic mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. The decision was if I ordered a full slab of the dry-rubbed ribs, I could share with my wife. What the hell, today's our 31st wedding anniversary and I know how much she likes the ribs. I've been a customer at The Patio since the days in their old location on the east side of Harlem avenue back in the 80's. It's always been a great place, but lately no one seems to be able to get an order correct. Lately I've been ordered a Greek Salad with chicken, and I make sure to ask them to include the anchovies (which, after all, are in the description. On three of the past four instances when I've ordered this same salad for pickup, it's been wrong when I get home. Once the chicken wasn't included, and twice (including tonight), the anchovies were MIA. In addition to that, the medium rare cheeseburger that we ordered was the usual medium well. I don't think the grlll staff knows any other setting. I did call in to complain (again) about the incorrect order and was offered the usual 15% credit on my next order (I still have one of these on their books from my order two weeks ago). I declined, and my next order for BBQ and salads will be placed at either Nick's in Bridgeview or Gemao's in Worth. If you do want Patio's food - DINE IN. Avoid the Patio in Bridgeview! Months ago I stopped at The Patio on my way home from my sisters. I ordered a barbecue chicken dinner all white meat. I even verified when I pick the order up at the drive-through window that my order was all white meat. The gentleman told me it was. I get home and do not have a white made but all dark meat. Four pieces of it. I called The Patio immediately and spoke with the manager. He remembered me because he is the man I've verified I had all white meat with at the drive-thru pick-up window. The could have been avoided entirely had he checked and not lie when he said yes. He took my name & phone number, and had my order and said the next time I came in they would replace my order. I explained that might be months and he said it was no problem. Fast forward to tonight. I'm on expectedly in the area it's 7:30 and I have not had dinner so I figure I will go get the meal they owe me and promised me. I get transferred to a manager explained the situation. About 10 minutes later he comes back online explains why he cannot find any information and offers me 15% off a meal. I ate my baked potato and bread from the last meal. I paid roughly $15 for that meal. Recommendation to anyone who has a problem here. Make them mail you a refund. They obviously lie when they tell your order is correct and that they'll take care of your meal the next time you come in when it's wrong. #PatioCustomerServiceSucks read more

I've been coming to the Patio for 10+ years and they never disappoint. Recommend the pulled pork nachos which are finger licking good, the cheeseburger is fresh off the broiler, juicy and mouth watering. Also highly recommend the chicken kabob dinner which comes with two chicken kabobs with veggies, pita bread, few slices of tomatoes lemon and lettuce, and choice of side like fries, rice, baked potato, or side of grilled veggies and possibly a couple more options. My kids are fans of their mac and cheese too! Don't forget to get your FREE ice cream cone with you order for everyone in your party. The thing about the Patio is its consistency. It is always good. The ribs are always tender and tasty. The burgers are juicy, the buns are soft and toasted nicely. The chicken is juicy and flavorful. The restaurant is always clean and there is always plenty of staff cleaning the tables and helping costumers. Think of a step above your usual burger and rib place. Quick but not fast food. The food is brought to your table but it is not table service. The setting is different than the usual restaurant. Large floor to ceiling windows looking west. High ceilings, indoor trees (?), and a nice fireplace. The patio on the south side of the building is not used that much in the summer but is great on a warm day. Prices are a little higher than most of your burger, chicken, ribs place but you pay for the setting and the service. Take advantage of the free soft serve cone for everyone. read more

This place is really big and I know that they really pack them in on the weekends. It smells really good and bbq-y when you walk in. You order by looking overhead at the menus posted on the wall, pay, get your own drink and ate handed a number to display on your table. That's the kind of place this is. I think the sides on the menu are crappy choices--basically fries or a baked potato and coleslaw. They need some better choices. I ordered the chicken kabob with a side of rice. Not bad. Nothing outstanding. And they serve everything on chinette paper plates. For what they charge they should really use real plates. How wasteful if you ask me. read more

I'm a huge fan of the patio ribs. I used to go to the Orland Park location. I will say that I think Orland is a little better for some reason. The ribs are almost always hands down my favorite over other places. The meat is tender and I love the BBQ sauce here. I have noticed that during really busy times on weekends the meat tends to be a little tough. The drive-thru service is quick and friendly and my order is always packed correctly. I think their food and service is very good. I have my staples. I usually pick out 2 things from my list each time I'm there. The cream soup they have that day. Breaded zucchini Chicken ranchero sandwich Chicken breast salad They are all pretty good. Yesterday I had the cream of chicken shell it was yummy but my favorite is the cream of potato, they only have it on Wednesdays. The soup always comes with bread and yesterday they had a different kind of bread it was more crustier than the usual bread they have. I thought it was great. I am very very very picky with chicken but this chicken breast i received was the most beautiful piece of chicken i ever had. Ready for an old favorite, we visited The Patio on Harlem in Bridgeview. It's been years since we visited The Patio - my wife hadn't been to the "new" location. Rather than the usual fare, I choose the Caribbean Mango Salmon. It was grilled perfectly and served with a nicely balanced, mango chutney. The roasted vegetables were great. My wife tried the Charbroiled beef kabobs. The meat was tender and the veggies were crisp and delicious. The beer selection, although small in comparison to some others, offered a nice complement of major and craft breweries. We'll be back to enjoy the food, nice family and seating atmosphere, and efficient service. We started going to The Patio when it was in its original building across the street oh so many years ago. I've been to this location probably 100 times in my life - from when they were a smaller restaurant, directly across the street from where they are now - to the larger restaurant. I've seen the quality dip slightly over the past 25 years. I still think their bbq chicken is the best, the chicken ranchero sandwich is amazing (though they changed-cheapened the bun), and I am a huge fan of their soups and salads. The greek salad has huge chunks of feta and their V&O dressing is good. Management is kind of douchey, and has always been. Service is fast - you order at the counter and they bring it out to you, though we usually get take-out. I visit this place every few months, but not a place I seek out. I've been to the Patio a few times, but never written a review for it. First let me say the food is usually really good. The speed to food ratio here is great, usually the faster you get your food, the less quality there is. At the Patio you get your food pretty quick and the quality is usually top notch. I had a buffalo chicken sandwich that was huge, and some soup. No complaints on any of the food. The only complaint I have is the pricing. My parents are regulars at the Patio for over the past 10 years. The Patio is a casual dining restaurant that specializes in BBQ. As soon as you walk in, four wall menus greet you. Each menu is divided by category i.e. dinners, sandwiches, and salads. The prices have steadily increased over the years. You place your order at the counter and seat yourself. Friendly servers will bring your order to your table. I recommend sitting by the fireplace in the fall/winter. The popular items are BBQ ribs, chicken - BBQ or Greek, BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, and burgers. The flavor of the food is inconsistent. Sometimes the food is very tasty and other times it is just ok. I believe it's due to the nature of restaurant. It is essentially a fast food restaurant with rotating short order cooks. I visited Patio with my parents the weekend after Christmas. We ordered BBQ ribs with fries, BBQ half chicken with a baked potato, and the chicken kabobs. The ribs were not as meaty as those at other BBQ restaurants. My chicken kabobs were delicious. The veggies were charred perfectly. Ate here twice, both times before Fire games. First time the food was excellent: great ribs! This past weekend was a mess: Ribs were very fatty and lacked good portions of meat. Chicken was rubbery. Kids enjoyed their chicken fingers and hot dogs, but no one can really screw that up. Based on the ribs and chicken, we WILL NOT be coming back to this place. I see they get shot down on some of these reviews, but I just can't see how. I would say they hoover between a 4 & 5 star rating on my visits. Maybe I only order what they're great at. My Favorites here include: BBQ Chicken Cajun Style Tilapia Filet Greek Salad & their variety of Chicken Breast Filets I LOVE THEIR BBQ SAUCE :) They're obviously known for their Ribs, but I don't eat Pork so I can't comment there. Really upset at this point. I'm a regular here at this patio, and to be honest I just waited in the drive thru for 50 minutes for a salad soup chicken tenders and a meatloaf dinner. Obviously there was some kind of mess up with the meatloaf, so all my other food sat I'm guessing because it was cold. Barely even got a sorry for the wait out of the girls running the circus they called a drive thru tonight. I may take a longer ride to the Orland location next time or just skip patio all together. I have been there twice. In both times my orders were messed up. Ordered a simple bacon burger no onions no tomatoes was served 3 different things the 3rd being with everything . I was just there again 11/7/22( giving it another chance) order a slab of ribs & fries. The person I was with order soup, & grilled chicken sandwich(not complicated). Bill was almost $40.00. Everyone who came after us was served and gone even a lady who order the same as me. Turns out guy at register charged us but didn't but in a ticket. Naturally I asked to speak to manager or owner if he was there. Owner was sitting having lunch with his son. They sent me young girl who said she was a manager ( friendly) when owner heard me complain this is the second time he talked to his manager wanted to have my order made, I refused made them put back the $ to credit card and said never again. What an interesting place...it looks like...you are in a patio in the summer....which I liked because it is winter. Their menu is pretty extensive and whoever took our order was beyond friendly. The place was clean and it sure was crowded for a random weekday evening. We ordered a chicken monterey (it has bacon!) sandwich, soup and salad. Everything was good.
