My Food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I ordered the BBQ Salmon, rice pilaf, and corn pudding...for me everything was a 10/10!!! Cooked to perfection, seasoned well, and still very hot when I arrived home (only 5mins away driving). I walked in and ordered my food, service person was nice and polite once acknowledged:) I was told my wait would be about "15mins," and it was actually 12mins. Not bad for what I ordered as a walk in and there were guests eating in. The food prices have increased a bit since last year (I believe I paid $21-something in 2023, and this time including that new surcharge was $27, abit higher but the food was SPOT ON for me). Overall, I would pay again for this 12minute way and flavorful food. Thank you all at Twisted Q, I will be back, and Hats off to the CHEF!!!! Unfortunately, for Memorial Day, I did not have ribs so I wanted some ribs still the day after. I looked up the nearest place to me and Twisted Q was what came up. While waiting for my order, I asked other patrons one man and one woman if they had ever eaten there before? they said yes the man said I would love it and I will be back and the lady said that her school orders from there all the time so I was pretty confident that it might be OK. I had called ahead and ordered a half order of ribs tips with baked beans and macaroni and cheese. I'm not sure if I would recommend this place. I will admit the ribs were tender they were not burnt. They had a little fat on them, which I like, the sauce was very good. But the baked beans and the macaroni and cheese were NOT IT!! the baked beans and the macaroni and cheese were both not flavorful. The mac & cheese tasted like it came out the box and I have never liked box macaroni and cheese even as a kid. The baked beans had no flavor to them, they were kinda watery I ended up adding barbecue sauce to them. There is free parking in the back and in the front. They have a full bar side with slot machines. They have a sit down, eat area as well as TVs to watch the sports it's a quaint little bar and grill but the food that I tried so far is not that great but the ribs I will give eight out of 10. I'm always up to try stuff for a second time. I would just switch up my sides because they definitely have a big menu. 1/2/2025 I order a 1/2 tip with garlic parm fries and Veggies. I thought its a good price. I asked for sauce on the side instead of on the ribs. Of course I like to taste the meat without sauce. The ribs were boiled with no smoke taste and the fries were fried extremely hard. I paid $16.00 dollars and I literally had 8-9 thin pieces of ribs, a small thing of veggies. Cute spot located in downtown Homewood, walking distance from the train station making it convenient for Metra and Amtrak riders. On a whim I decided to grab a dinner plate for a family member on Christmas Eve. I ordered the Ham Dinner: fresh baked ham off of the bone served with mashed potatoes and gravy, dinner roll and a choice of additional side ($10.99), I went with coleslaw. The order process was super convenient and user friendly. As I pulled up, I got a text that my order was ready for pick up. I walked in and was greeted by masked staff who were extremely polite and attentive. The portions were decent, the ham was flavorful and not too salty as ham can often be. And my aunt kept raving about those mashed potatoes and how fresh the coleslaw was. Based on this experience, I'll will come back and try some of the actual BBQ dishes. read more

Love this place. Their Cream of Clam soup, corn pudding and sweet apples are my favorite. I was kind of thrown off at first with the sides name sweet apples because yes they do have a couple of pieces of baked apples on top but it really is a small sweet potato pie with apples on top. But I still love it. I have tried varies entrees like the White chill, hamburger, chicken just to name a few and they all have been great. I go here often and haven't been disappointed. I always get to go but this is a nice place to dine in also, it is small with a diner kind of feel it it has a medium size bar if you don't want to sit at a table. The staff is always friendly. I could only give 4 stars at this point due to my limited sampling of the menu. I stopped in on a blustery day for a late afternoon lunch. I'm a sucker for a good bowl of chili and let me tell you, as a self proclaimed aficionado, their "Burnt Ends Chili" knocks it out of the park. It is everything I want in a bowl of chili. Thick, well seasoned, beefy deliciousness with just a hint of spice. This alone will keep me coming back. I also had the pleasure of trying the Nachos, topped with a helping of the above mentioned chili. Chips, cheese (both shredded and sauce) and amazing chili. A good recipe for some really tasty nachos. It's a casual, unassuming place. The staff is friendly and attentive and the menu has several tasty looking items I look forward to trying. I recently tried the lobster bisque and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of it. The service is good and I believe I have had the same guy each time I have been there. He is always nice. The smoked applewood chicken used to be fantastic, but no longer has the same flavor. The ribs and pulled pork are almost entirely gristle and fat.
