There are just some places that are always a safe bet and of course Buona is one of them! So much so that my mother in law requested it for mothers day. And that is saying something as she is really picky! HA! This is our first time at this location and it looks to be rather new? Very nice inside and out. Inside is nice and modern/touristy. I was surprised going through the menu to find an item I had never noticed before, the Big Joey's Beef. Not sure how I could have missed it but I ordered this one for myself. I am sure glad that I did as it was amazing! Slow-roasted Italian beef, spiced just right layered on fresh Italian bread. Topped with Hot Giardiniera, sweet bell peppers, and melted mozzarella. Its pricy, $12.49 but is also really good. I loved it. The rest of the fam got regular Italian beef sandwiched with sweet peppers. And each got a side of potato salad. My father in law could not stop raving about how good the potato salad was and of course everyone loved their sandwiches. We are all picky about our Italian beef and don't care for any other place that makes it other than Portillo's. Buona's menu is good and I can't wait to return for another item as well. Brought my dad here for a Father's Day lunch last month after he told me that he really enjoys the food at this establishment. When we arrived, there was a line of cars in the drive thru but we wanted to go inside and sit anyways. We walked right in, no line no crowd and available seating everywhere. After we ordered, we found a booth and sat down. Our food came out within a normal time frame. After I took the first bite of my cheddar and beef croissant sandwich, I could definitely see why people like eating here. The flavor is definitely there and throughout the entire sandwich. My dad got a salad and the classic sandwich and ate it all. It was a really good time. Customer service was nice. The place was clean. Food was scrumptious. And the atmosphere was pleasant. Went here on my lunch break, went through the drive thru, and order my usual which is a chicken Caesar salad salad with an extra sauce and the order comes with a piece of bread so I get a side of gravy. They told me to pull around so I pull around and when my order comes out I look in the bag I'm missing my side of gravy I have to park and go in and get my side of gravy and I leave and go back to work I open the bag and I'm missing my sauce too. I came to this Buona on Tuesday after getting my car repaired. I had a promo in the app for a free item, so I figured I'd come try a few things. I placed an order for pickup through the app, and by the time I arrived my food was ready. I was so happy to see that they followed my instructions in the notes for a lettuce bun, and it was so well packaged in a plastic container. I also tried their chicken tenders which came with 6 pieces, and the portions were decent. The chicken was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and it's definitely a hidden gem. Most people don't come here for chicken, but I decided why not -- yolo! I'm so glad I tried it. I'm really hoping their Italian Beef menu will be a bit more progressive for those like me who needs to be a on a yeast free diet, hence why I went with a lettuce bun. I'd love to see an Italian Beef bowl, where you can still have all of the shbang without the bread. This location has plenty of free parking on premise, the restaurant was really clean inside and out, and there were plenty of tables and chairs for dining in. The staff were all so friendly, I was greeted right away when I entered, and while I made it to the pickup area another member of the team offered help at the pickup shelves. I'm blown away by the amazing service at a fast food restaurant -- keep it up! I also got really lucky that they weren't super busy yet around 11:30am. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely be coming back. I have been to Buona's a few times before, but had forgotten to to write a review. Well, today is that day...as my wife or I did not want to cook, we decided on Buona's since it had been a while. This time, though, I ordered online delivery rather than go pick it up as I normally do. I ordered the Cheesy Cheddar Beef, fries, and the Buona Beef Bites. My wife had the Avocado Pepper Jack Burger and some fries, also. We both also ordered a bottle of tea as well. For the food itself, we both felt that there were hits and misses. My wife let me know that her Avocado Pepper Jack Burger was good, but she said the burger could have used more seasoning. For me, the Cheesy Cheddar Beef was good, but I did not ask for it to be 'baptized', as I am not a fan of overly soggy bread. Thus, the sandwich was good, but could have been better because I think the soggy bread overpowered the taste of the beef. Also, there was way more cheese sauce than actual cheese...that ratio needs to be more cheese than sauce. The fries were pretty good, then the Buona Beef Bites were quite addictive. They're pretty much fried rice balls with beef and giardiniera stuffed inside, with marinara dipping sauce. I mean, I almost wish I had a few orders of that instead, they were that good. Finally, we both were disappointed that we received bottles of unsweetened tea...when the menu clearly said bottled tea and did not note that they were unsweetened. There needs to be a clear choice for whether customers want sweet tea or not. Overall, I am not sure that the food warranted the prices...and there are minor improvements that could be made to enhance the customer experience. The order is usually wrong and the pickup procedure for ordering online is ridiculous. Most of the time your order isn't ready at the pick up time they give you and then you basically have to wave someone down in the kitchen to go find your order. They never put them in the pick up shelves and you'd have better chances of winning the lottery than them having milkshakes available on a consistent basis. Also, having kids size shake only available if you order a kids meal is ridiculous. Just put it on the menu as a shake option. At least this location is better than the Western Ave one. Sometimes If you end up going here, parking may be a hassle, definitely reccomend entering through the side street and park in the back . Lines will also take a while especially if you plan on going through the drive thru. I also prefer on parking and ordering to go. To be honest, this place is definitely pricey, the food doesn't come out quick but they explain in great detail on how they present there food as well prepared which I'm happy with. The food is definitely worth the wait too! The dine in experience is also good, great atmosphere, they sell alcohol which in my opinion is interesting. Staff was nice at register, but while sitting down we kept hearing one of the female workers arguing back and forth with a male in the kitchen then the female came out and threw something I'm not sure what but basically had a hissy fit on the outside of the kitchen for all the customers to see. I ordered a Beef & Giardinera pizza, then added spinach & mushrooms and requested the pizza baked well-done. I also ordered a chopped salad. I placed the order for Curbside Pickup. My order was ready when I arrived. At first glance everything looked on point. I started with the pizza and it was delicious! And by the way, I did not have to pay for the extra toppings. The salad was good, but it would have been even better if it was made with romaine lettuce, like the menu says, and not iceberg lettuce; it is my least favorite lettuce. I probably would not order it again; I like to get what I pay for! But the pizza will definitely be added to my Goodies list. Btw my total was under $19, less the tip. read more

They did such a good job with curbside pickup. If you don't have their app I highly recommend to download it. You get $5 your first order and it enables such cool features and rewards. You get notified when your order is ready and when they have specials for rewards members. For every 100points you get another $5 off coupon. As far as the food goes, it was great also. The beef was moist not dry and well seasoned with good flavor. I had hot peppers which gave it a little kick but definitely complimented the beef. The hotdog comes loaded with neon relish, pickle, peppers. The peach tea was brewed and ok hand add a splash of fruit punch and your all set.
