Haven't been in the area in a minute. Expected the gyros plate to be smaller, but it's still huge and delicious. Should have bought extra pitas for the leftovers. Yummy!

A cheeseburger. Do you see the meat? I see all those grill onions!!!

I really don't understand what the hype is about this place. I really don't. I came and bought two cheeseburgers, a country farm steak sandwich, a grilled chicken sandwich and a large fry. Nicky's has decent prices. I guess that's why alot of people like Nicky's. But those prices also explains the lack of quality in their food. The fresh cut fries were good. The mayo, lettuce, tomato combo on the grilled chicken sandwich is fresh and tasty. But the chicken itself is not "grilled" nor is it seasoned. As a matter a fact, no meat had any seasoning on it. All patties on the sandwiches are the frozen low grade kind. They must have a surplus of onions, nor do they know how to cut them and they don't know how to cut tomatoes. You can forget about kissing anybody after eating these onions. They are more onions on the sandwich than the meat itself. When I read "country farm steak" I thought for a moment there "Ponderosa" or somebody. Boy, was I wrong there. That meat was worse than Steakum! And what exactly is it because it is not a "steak" of any kind in my mind??? I would ONLY come back for the fries and the question to myself is why would I drive all the way here from Orland Park for fresh cut fries???

Gyro plate and proof of purchase.

I've driven by this place multiple times going to and from work and decided to give it a try. I ordered the gyro plate, gyro sandwich w/fries and an extra sauce. The food looked delicious and I was excited to try it, but the food was inedible! The gyros were too salty and fries too greasy!! My wife tried it and she also said that there was entirely too much salt. It was really disappointing. I won't be going back there again.

I decided to give this place a try, I pass it often. We ordered the Gyro platter, which is $11.99. The platter comes with what looks like 2 pounds of meat, two pitas, sauce, and a large order of hand cut fries. This platter is HUGE. It's literally enough food for probably 3 people. We also ordered the large Greek salad. Which was $5.69. It was also very delicious and filling. The third thing we ordered was the big baby cheeseburger. It was $3.69 and was also a good size burger. There's a parking lot and also an open bathroom.

    .60 cent misc food charge?

Been coming here for years food is always good places usually busy during lunch never had a complaint on the taste or the quality of the food but something I noticed today was an extra charge. I was just curious to see what that charge would be for? But again prices are great and portions can't be beat on that stretch of road. Ambience wise your typical In And Out hotdog type stand with some seating.

Food was great I got the gyro platter which comes with so much meat you need to order extra pitas which I know for next time can't wait to come back

Talk about laying the meat on thick, add tomato slices, fresh lettuce and tzatziki sauce and you have a meal for two days. Please add an extra pita to your bill, trust me you are going to need it.

We visited on a bustling Saturday afternoon. There were several people already in line who were still looking at the menu, so they told us to cut the line. My sister and I both ordered the chicken kabob plate. Neither of us are big pita fans, so we didn't eat that, but everything else was delicious. The chicken was well cooked and succulent. The rice and potatoes were both seasoned to perfection, moist, and tasty. We were both pleasantly surprised by how good everything tasted. The salad was great too. It was fresh and offset the carbs perfectly. I had the Italian dressing which had a light and refreshing taste. We ordered takeout and ate the food a few hours later. It warmed up well at that time and the following day. The portion size is extremely generous, so there's enough food for a few meals if you tend to eat smaller meals. The restaurant is bright and comfortable. The service was fast and the gentleman that rang us out was very friendly. Both plates cost about twenty dollars, which is very reasonable for lunch. I'll definitely visit Just Kabob again!

As soon as I gave my order I knew the food was going to be excellent. The politeness, hospitality, and attention to detail really make this place stick out. I ordered a double cheeseburger combo. I dined in the restaurant. All I have to say is......AMAZING! This was one of if not the BEST Burger I've ever had in my life. This place is truly an example of what a "Burger joint" should be. Think of it, fresh ingredients and everything made to order right in front of you. I'm going back next week, and I'm telling all my friends about this hidden gem! Outstanding experience! SB

This carryout-only shop on Cicero Ave in Crestwood has been open for a number of years, and yet I've never managed to stop in?!? What's really strange is that I happen to be a guy who LOVES a good burger.. like, it's one of my favorite foods. Anyway, I stopped in on my way home from work recently, and it was well worth the trip. I'm guessing the owner helped me during my visit, as he was the only one working. As mentioned, Retro Burger is a small, but very clean space with an extremely limited menu. That speaks to me. Pick a handful of things you're going to serve folks and then skillfully execute them. My burger choices were either "Hamburger" or "Cheeseburger". Now both of these options feature a 1/2 pound of beef, and we're not talking about pre-made, pre-formed or frozen burger patties. This gentleman opened the cooler, took out a tube of fresh ground beef, cut off a 1/2 pound, slapped it on the flat top and gave it a press. I knew this was gonna be special. The brioche bun is steamed prior to a quick trip to the griddle. The grilled onions were dropped in the deep fryer for a minute and then plopped on the griddle next to the burger patty. The bacon came next and it was crispy. Gave the burger a nice crunch without being overwhelming. The lettuce and tomatoes are fresh... you're probably picking up the vibe by now. This cheeseburger was no joke. Very tasty, and made with care. The rest of the menu consists of a hot dog, a polish sausage and maybe one other thing, but the reason to stop in to Retro Burger is for the burgers! The cheese fries were fine, but nothing to write home about. The price point is higher because the quality is there and you can taste it. There are 3 or 4 other places within 5 miles of this place if you're looking for a $5 Big Baby Double Cheeseburger, but I would strongly encourage you to spend a few extra dollars and get yourself a serious sandwich. I'll be back.
