Went here with my wife, and almost turned around bc of a 3.8 review, BUT Glad I gave it a try anyway. Was greeted by a father and son (dad was showing his son how to ring up customers). My wife ordered a Gyro Cheeseburger and fries, I ordered a Gyro, fries, and mozzarella sticks. The young man actually brought us our food, which came out HOT, FRESH, and in a timely fashion. My wife is a VERY picky eater, and she ate her entire sandwich, and fries. Seen the sign that said "Under New Management", and from the some of the negative reviews, they have really turned that place around. 06-24-2026 read more

Original owners were great with prices you couldn't beat. The new food comes barely warm and it's just not what they use to be with prices way too high. read more

I would give 10 stars!!! New owners are so welcoming! the gyros are the best this side of Greece!!! I could hardly fold it to bite into it! They are very generous with meat, onions, tomatoes and sauce! My friend told me that the wet beef sandwich is really yum-yum! I can't wait to go get one. Good prices, too! Cathy N. read more

Use to go here all the time and the food was always decent, but last couple times it's been lackluster to say the least, the hotdogs were warm not hot and the buns were kinda soggy like , the fries were ok and the pop was at least good , maybe one more visit just to give a chance read more

Mickey's Gyros - Old, soggy, reheated hotdogs, passed off as a fresh order. They're grey and tasteless, while the buns taste like what they were cooked near. - Fast Food Near Me - Palos Hills, Illinois

The original Mickey's was sold in February 2023. I went to the new "Mickey's" in sincere hope the new owners were trained by the previous owners - they were not! Our Italian beefs were, well, not the true Italian beefs and put into styrofoam boxes - not juicy! French fries weren't the good ole fashioned type but some flavored fries that my kids didn't even want to eat. Restaurants aren't often given two tries after a distasteful meal but I'm working my way to see if possibly they learned from their first bad start and renewed old tried and successful ways to make fast food or lost is next of only one place left to have real American food without the improvements no one asked for or wanted. read more

Not the same since it is under new management. The old staff were friendly and the food was good and reasonably priced. Now food is overpriced, staff is not friendly and place is dull. Go somewhere else. read more

Cute little place. Very clean. Descent friendly service. We had a Philly cheesesteak and chicken Philly cheesesteak. Both very good. But the fries!! Not even kidding when I say best I have ever had. Crisp on the outside but still good inside. And whatever seasoning they use is amazing. Salty and maybe some lemon? So. Good. Would go back again just for the fries. read more

Terrible ! Place went down the once old owners left .took 25 min for food and was not made correctly. Very disappointing

We wanted to like this place but it was just so bad. Hotdogs were literally the cheapest hotdogs in store bought buns. Fries were burnt and tasteless. Milkshakes were a joke. Pretty much just chocolate water. I'm sad I wasted money here and will for sure never return. RIP the old Mickeys. read more

My favorite spot to get gyros! The owners are so sweet and really value their customers experience.

I guess the only way that I'm going to eat good food is by staying home and making it myself. Last night I go to Mickeys ordered a chicken dinner and Italian sausage. Nothing worse then paying for food driving home sitting down and opening the sandwich to find it completely CHARRED BLACK. I never had a Italian Sausage where it actually crunched as I at it. I called Mickeys and he said it's pork and it need to be cooked fully. REALLY ??? I BBQ Italian and Polish sausage all the time and it's NEVER burned to a crisp. I could come back in but who wants to do that on a rainy night and have the other person eat alone. I think it was close to closing time and instead of making something new let's get rid of the old. Terrible. read more

Mickey's Gyros - Charred Italian Sausage - Fast Food Near Me - Palos Hills, Illinois

Great portions and awesome costumer service, especially the man up front working behind the steam table. He always greets everyone and gets conversations going whilst making the food. Fabulous reasonably priced food, definitely on the cheaper side! Rib tip dinner is a must have. Good amount of fries, coleslaw and the outstanding piece of garlic bread. The big Mickey with grilled onions is by far outstanding as well. ou can also ask them to put gyro meat on the bug Mickey. read more

When driving down Roberts Road with a friend of mine we spotted a place called Mickey's Gyros and decided to stop in to give it a try. Around the South Side and South suburbs there are a lot of places called Nicky's and Mickey's with very similar food offerings and menus. This place has one very long counter to order at and behind there is where your food is prepared. After looking over the menu I decided to try a hot dog and a "Big Mickey" which from the description I determined is just a re-named "Big Baby" burger". Waited a few minutes and my food was ready for me to dig in to. We'll start with the Big Mickey burger. The big mickey was a double cheeseburger with grilled onions on top, cheese, mustard and ketchup on a sesame seed bun. The way the onions were grilled was decent, but quite a step back from other places I've had serving similar burgers. Overall for the price I'd say it was worth it, but other options exist. The burger was greasy, the condiments were well applied. But the burger and onions were grilled a little less than ideally. Then we have the hot dog. This hot dog came on a regular non-poppy seed bun. The bun was soft and didn't have any signs of dryness. The sausage used was skinless and from the taste was immediately recognized by me as being Red Hot Chicago brand. There was a gigantic pickle every bit as thick as the hot dog itself on top, light mustard, onions and relish. There were no sport peppers, tomato and no celery salt on this hot dog. The dominant flavor with this dog was the pickle which completely overpowered everything else. I'd say the hot dog was quite a bit worse than the burger. Overall service here was friendly, I had a four star quality burger, and a two star hot dog. Based on this, I'll go right up the middle and award them three stars and recommend the Big Mickey as a good but not great inexpensive burger. We'll close with this simple song. Who's the leader of the club that's made for all of us? M-I-C-K-E-Y G-Y-R-O-S Who can make a hot dog that is quite far from the best? M-I-C-K-E-Y G-Y-R-O-S read more

These were the best gyros ever! So moist and tender and HUGE portion in a gyros plate. And the pitas were extra good too. Will be back, curious to try the chicken gyros someone else called "hidden gem." So, so good! read more

If your craving great tasting fast food this is the place to go in the area. I get the chicken pita which has some Greek seasoning on it annnnd the best thing is that they use real chicken (most fast food places do not, yuk!) My husband is always happy with their gyro, and whenever I steal a few bites from him I also enjoy it, even though I get the stink eye for stealing his food ;) read more

I have been eating here for years and have not been disappointed. Since I have the bad habit of getting the same thing at certain restaurants, I do not try other things on the menu. But I have eaten several different things on the menu, and the best thing here is the gyros. The pita and meat are very tender and tasty. The portion sizes are decent, but some of the items can be a little on the bland side. One game you can have here is to get the female cashier to crack a smile. read more

Was In Neighborhood today after a trip from Pittsburgh 7.5 hour drive..Was in the Mood for a Big Baby asked My Uncle where I could get one..He recommended Mickeys...It was not called the Big Baby But The Mickey...Got one with everything Fries and a Pop For under 7 dollars..Friendly staff Fries Fresh not Under a heat lamp ...Was delicious Only complaint I have is Booths are kinda tight as I'm a bigger guy.Aside from that I believe this Is Better Than Jackeys and The Original on 58th and Kedzie and better than Anthonys By Midway Airport..A very good Compliment from me as those are what a grew up on,,,The fresh Thick Pickle slices on The Mickeys Burger was a nice Touch...I will be back Next Time I'm gonna try the Gyros read more

Everything is solid here. There are times when a meal can be sloppily made at other restaurants, but everything is consistent here, never had a bad meal. The grilled chicken they use on their pita/French bread has a nice seasoning n isn't bland. BBQ Chicken has a distinct broiled taste, but isn't dry, really good. The people are nice and I highly recommend this hidden gem if you are in the area. This place has been a staple for many of the local residents. read more

I was told by a girl who went to Moraine Valley that I HAD to go to this burger place near the school. As my fiance and I just moved to the area, we decided to try it out. Delish! I usually get the Mickey Burger, cheese fries (or fried mushrooms) and a strawberry shake. The food is good, it's fast and the same 3 people are there every time we go in. I wish they were open later on Sunday though. read more

Awesome spot that's been around for years! The big Mickey is bomb and so are the mozzarella sticks and corn dogs.

Delicious. Have been going here for gyros and hotdogs for 25 years. Whenever I come back to town, I make sure I get me some Mickey's.

Great food, even better service. Usually order a gyro, chicken wings or tenders, also really love the tacos!

I LOVE Mickey's I have been coming to this place for years and it is amazing. The people who work and own it are extremely friendly...(I've taken a shot of Tequila with one of the guys before) and the food is awesome. They have the best barbecue chicken on pita I have ever had in my life. I have gone to hundreds of similar fast food places and ordered the same sandwich and this is by far the best one I have ever had. The sauce is great and they give you plenty of meat too. This goes for everyhting on the menu as well, they don't get cheap on the portion they give you, and that goes with the fries as well. My favorite part of the place is the prices. They are well below what I am used to paying for similar food at similar places, and there prices have hardly gone up over the years I have been going. I get my barbecue chicken pita, with fries and a medium soda for $4.80. Most places I got to that meal is anywhere from $6-8. My friends and I go there all the time, and trust me if you are in Palos Hills and looking for a great tasting reasonably priced meal, you should definitely go here. read more

I like these grease pit counter places amd this place did not disappoint. Standard menu. Fair prices. Fast service. Good food. I got gyro fry water for about $8. The gyro tasted a little funky. Kinda like a dead possum that had been under the porch for a few days in the summer. But guess what. I liked it. It tasted good to my mouth. Also liked the toasted pita. Fries were crispy and good. Only reason they lost a star is because they didn't seem to have a public bathroom and the table was kinda dirty. Not filthy. But if it was a toilet I would build a nest before I sat on it. Wipe the tables down and get a bathroom and you get 5 stars. read more

The service was very quick and has low prices. We had the gyros and shrimp dinner. Both were ok. The gyro meat was overcooked and dry.
