We got the Polish Sampler plate which had kielbasa (Polish Sausage) covered in sweet grilled onions, golumbki (cabbage roll) in tomato gravy, 2 pierogi, and a highlander potato pancake covered with beef goulash. Good homemade food which appears to all be made to order. The interior is a bit like a fast food restaurant. You order at the counter and then sit down to wait for it to be delivered. Since its made to order you have to be patient. Because the inside is sort of fast food style, I'm not sure I'd go for a dinner out. It feels like a lunch or snack place. The menu is pretty big and should have options for all within the Polish cuisine. We had pierogi and fish sandwich which were very good. Zapiekanka which are like Polish pizza boats are vary popular and tasty. I have my eye on various chips or fries for my next visit. Came back another time for their fantastic ice cream. Prices are reasonable. The service is good and like that is more of a fast food atmosphere instead of sit down service. As for the food. I was presently surprised to find a place that has Polish food, burgers, and other food. This time, I stopped by for pierogis, and they were pretty good. I really enjoyed the food here. I ordered a chicken shish kebab sandwich and it came with fries. The chicken shish kebab was really good, the sandwich had a lot of flavor and had bacon, grilled onions and was on garlic bread. I would probably rate the taste a 7/10. Another thing we ordered was the combo beef sandwich with fries. It wasn't the best Italian beef I've had, but it was pretty good and very filling. I think next time it would taste better with some kind of nacho cheese or regular cheese. The sandwich also comes on garlic bread which is tasty. I would rate this sandwich a 6/10 because it was a little bit more plain, it just needed cheese or maybe even peppers on it. Pleasantly surprised with this place! My boyfriend and I wanted to try something new in the area and we were not disappointed. The menu in the restaurant is more extensive than what's posted on Yelp. So many options and new dishes! We ordered at the counter and they brought the food out to us. There's plenty of space to dine in and the shop itself was clean and well-kept. Every two weeks we call in an order for takeout from your restaurant. This time everything was a cluster fuck, save the least! We ordered four items from you on on Thursday of this week. Just like we do every two weeks. We ordered two Philly steaks, one burrito and one gyro. When we picked up our order both Philly cheesesteaks were OK, but the burrito and the Gyro word completely wrong to save the least!. Since I've been ordering to go orders from this establishment for at least a decade, I would expect to have my order filled the way I called it in. Well, the burrito I ordered with just cheese came in with cheese, lettuce, tomato and I don't know what else the fuck was in there, but needless to say it was a cluster fuck and it was not edible to say the least. The Gyro was called in with only sauce. When it arrived, it had sauce, tomato, lettuce, and onion!. Yeah, I cannot believe that your staff could be that fucking stupid to fuck up 50% of my order! I've been a customer since the day you guys opened. Not to mention, I love the ice cream. Trust me at this point I will never never ever order from you again. You have lost me as a customer! Went here with my grandson today, and the food was good. I had the turkey burger it came with fries, the burger had all the trimmings with cheese. My grandson had the Alfredo with chicken and garlic bread it was really good the sauce and the flavor was very tasty. Came here on a rainy day, with not much action on the inside besides a soccer game playing on TV and a bunch of guys gathered around the bar speaking Polish over beers and goals. And I have to say, I loved it! I had the platter (16.95) which included a helping of just about everything - 3 potato and cheese pierogis, kielbasa sausage, warm cabbage, 1 potato pancake, and a stuffed cabbage roll with mushroom sauce. Not including the bowl of chicken noodle or cabbage soup and bread/pickle plate it comes with prior to the entree. Pretty good grill here in the south Chicago suburbs. They have a unique Polish taste to their food. It's nice inside and clean with a lunch place feel for a quick bite to eat. The Highlander burrito is pretty awesome along with their pierogis for an appetizer. Some of the food comes with a different taste so be ready. First thing to say about this place is that they have great prices! They offer good selection of burgers with European twist. I had taste for polish fast food dish called "Zapiekanka ". We flew into Chicago and wanted to find a unique burger place as we were driving south on 294. We read some reviews on Highlander Grill and about the chef's past experience. The Polish background of the chef proved to be a delightful culinary treat that tasted of home-cooked goodness. Thought it looked delicious and we were not disappointed! We tried the potato and cheese pierogi and they came hot, tender and absolutely divine! Then we had the polish hamburger and the garlic hamburger. The blend of spices used in the hamburger meat was perfect and so tasty!! The garlic sauce on the garlic burger - definitely fresh made and a great taste sensation! The fries were top-notch. Golden and crunchy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. Even the ketchup brand was unique with no high fructose corn syrup and very low in sugar. It had such a vibrant and fresh taste!
