My reviews for this Joey's would have been a lot higher. The staff here was absolutely friendly though the wait time for the food was much longer than I anticipated. Unfortunately, my biggest thing that kills my review about this location was that I got food poisoning which which kept me down for a few days. I've been looking for an excuse to check out this location for a long while when it first opened. I've gone to many Joey's locations and this is the first time I've had this issue. This location is pretty busy if you do happen to stop in. Overall, if it wasn't for that incident I would have gave him this place four stars. I just might avoid this location read more

I've been here around 2-3 times just during summer. The food was excellent 11/10, but the service was slower than Rudy's, and it took them a total of 30 minutes to make 1 burger, a belly buster, and 2 Italian ices. I'm beginning to wonder if they use a slow cooker instead of an actual grill. Will be coming back in the future. Food 9.5/10 Service 4/10 Ambiance (I didn't pay attention) 0/0 Total 7/10 read more

to the absolute hero that left this note in my door dash order today, thank you! I will remeber this for next time and continue eating here. It was my first time they are right by my favorite dispensary. The nachos were nice and fresh not soggy upon arrival and looked amazing before I tore them up like a feral racoon. read more

I bought a hot dog. Not so great. I bought a gyros and they had the nerve to fill the pita bread with dry and brunt meat. What made me angry is the fact they covered it up with two pieces of a lighter versions of meat, and two huge tomatoes slices. I was on my lunch break and returned to work hungry. read more

Great food and great service! Nice menu to choose from. Specials to help you to select something for everyone!

Good food! Have catered from them too. Always happy. Only negative - twice I ordered to pick up and added some Italian ice. Twice they failed to put it in the bag read more

Hot dogs great fast friendly service other things asbeefs and burgers are good good place to play the slot machines.

Love their hot dogs and gyros. I've also bought a "side" of chicken used to add to a salad at home. Very tasty stuff, fries arek

Wow, just incredible! Thank you to Anthony and his team for providing a staff lunch to the staff of Richard E. Byrd School. It was a stress free holiday luncheon as Joey's donated it all. The food was amazing! There was such a wide variety that people took a helping of each and there still was plenty of food left. Delicious! Thank you Joeys! read more

Great choices from soup to dinners! You might think that they only serve hot dogs, but there is so much more to choose from!

I prefer this place over Portillo's. We tried the dogs, the Italian beef, and the green salad. The Italian beef was really great! We were able to get peppers and the dip on the side which was the best call. Chicago dogs are delicious and way better than Portillo's. Same goes for the chili dogs, so delicious. The Greek salad however did not do it for me. Don't get that when you come here. Stick to the meats and what they're good at. Overall, will be back again and again. read more

Joey’s Red Hots - Justice - Outside of the restaurant - Hot Dogs Near Me - Justice, Illinois

I visited early this afternoon and ordered a steak taco with everything and a chicken taco with everything plus a red sauce and a green sauce I have not ordered their tacos before so I thought I'd give them a try. I get home. I just start with the steak taco. It's slightly seasoned very bland actually one the bland is tacos. I've had the chicken one was chicken breast that was pan fried and seasoned with just salt and pepper and they were all dry. Pieces was very disappointed my rating for this place would not be very high, I think this place would be for somebody who has got issues maybe that can't have spicy foods which is a plus side. The food is not very seasoned. it accommodates people with acid reflux, upper G.I. issues, stomach issues. This is the place. It will not irritate your stomach like a regular taco joint. This is really made for people whose pallet can only handle so much flavor and there's stomach can't handle spice. I could say more, but I will leave it at that, sorry wasn't a fan read more

Great hot dogs! The place is clean and the food is so good! Just what we needed today! Will definitely be back!

Of all the Joey's locations, this location is my favorite. The employees are friendly and the service is quick. Not all the locations have fountain soda and give you can soda, fountain soda is on tap here. The restaurant is kept very clean and there are no odd smells. The food is very good and prices are very reasonable compared to most places. The specials include a sandwich(es), fries, and a drink. Also if you have the gambling bug, there is a mini casino here. read more

Great beef sandwiches!! Nice place to go, good prices and great quality food. Also great selection too!

This restaurant is one of the best around.the service is awesome.they are clean.prices are great.there food is very good. I've lived in area for 10 hrs and I've seen all the other restaurants that were in there spot fail. This is a winner all the way. I would love to meet the owner. read more

The place is called Joey's RED HOTS. Why anyone would order anything other than hot dogs at a place like this is beyond me. Good Chicago style dogs, quick accurate service, adequate parking, I couldn't ask for more. Don't blame the restaurant for the delivery service. That's just not fair, delivery services range from fair (DoorDash) to dismal (GrubHub, my nephew). You want accurate service from a fast food joint, you need to come in yourself. That's the way to order and eat a Chicago dog anyway. Across the way from the Kaminski Funeral Home, and if there's one thing that can help a little if your family is doing a funeral, it's a Chicago style hot dog. Funerals are so hard, on the worst day of your life you have to be at your best for all the guests wonderful enough to show up and pay their respects. Eating a Chicago dog is the exact opposite, you do not have to behave well, it doesn't matter what other people think, and it feels good. The number 2 combo is two dogs with everything, fries, and a soda. read more

Popped in midday yesterday because yay it's finally open and y'all know I love a Chicago hot dog. The parking lot seems tiny for the amount of customers they have, but I had no trouble grabbing a spot. As crowded as it was, I didn't have to wait in line and our order came out in a couple minutes hot and fresh. The young lady that took my order was friendly. There were lots of people working behind the counter, the place was clean, and happy employees means Joey's is already doing something right. The most important part of this review is obviously the hot dog. Killer. Poppyseed bun perfectly steamed, appropriately topped as a Chicago dog should be, and the dog had a nice lil snap. The fries are great(crinkle cut) and I definitely recommend trying the loaded fries. Remember when Portillo's was consistently good? Here's a fantastic replacement. For seating, go on a nice day and grab a table outside. Inside is fine for grab and go and they do have tables outside with umbrellas. We'll definitely be back. read more

There are about a crillion Hotdog joints in Chicago. What is the criteria for one being better than the next? Out of towners love the circuses at Superdawg, but the hotdog there is overpriced and not great. REAL Hotdog joints like Gene & Judes and Henry's in Cicero ring the bell every time. You've got to have a good frank and fresh toppings, applied judiciously. Don't laugh-there IS a skill to it Wife is a real estate broker, and has to service listings in the area of Joey's here--the place has a bright inviting look, so one day we figured we'd give it a shot. Man! What a surprise! FAB hotdogs, an authentic Maxwell St. Polish (with proper grilled onions). Over subsequent visits, we've had a fine burger and an authentic Maxwell Street bone-in Pork Chop sandwich (again with the proper grilled onions). Of course nothing beats Jim's Original in the South Loop for that Polish and Pork Chop (If you're not from Chicago-google those two sandwiches--they are iconic in town here-and it's rare they are done even close to the originals at Jim's). Joey's does them proud! Last time I was here, I had a Greek Salad with Gyros, and damned if it wasn't GREAT gyros. The place is bright and clean inside, and the staff is pleasant and efficient. Good "throw" on the fountain drinks too. A notch or 5 above the fray, for true. One caveat-they started serving pre-packed slices of cake branded by "Carlo's" the TeeVee Baker. Stay away from those-they aren't that good. read more

Four stars because they just opened and they were very busy which caused my order to come out lukewarm from the kitchen . They have crinkle fries and good selection of items on the menu with affordable prices. Staff was very friendly and doing their best to accommodate a big crowd . Parking lot size is deceiving , only 9 spots and you can get blocked in if they have lots of customers. I had a hot dog and fried mushrooms . All had good taste but hot dog was barely warm and fries and mushrooms needed to stay longer in the fryer. I will give them another try as small hot dog places are disappearing slowly. They have Pepsi products , yay! read more

The staff is friendly and the PRICE IS RIGHT! My family of 5 eats GOOD for under $40! We eat here a minimum once a week since we first stopped in. The chicken philly is my favorite and the crinkle fries are crispy and delicious - even if you carry out. My kids love the pizza puff meal and you can add an extra puff for $1.35. My only gripe is the hot dogs buns have poppy seeds, which isn't my fave - I know, I know - it's a Chicago thing! But there are PLENTY of other choices for me or the pickiest person in your group. Oh! Don't sleep on the cheese curds - get the red pasta sauce to dip them in - AH-azing! Joey's is the neighborhood spot we NEEDED! read more

Ehhh i want to like it and support local businesses but, this place is a solid meh. In my opinion, the food is just bland. The italian beef is just not right. Beef was cooked to be a rubbery stringy in your mouth, floss session after the meal. The salads, their burgers. Meh read more

We had the 2 hotdog combo and the polish. Is clean and had quite a crowd gathering for lunch. Was efficient and food prepared to order. They are okay, I mean just another simple hot dog place... the burgers are really thin and the one I had was dry , I won't order that again. Hot dogs, polish, fish sandwich, cheese sticks, curds, corn dogs, fries are nothing special, gyros same the cucumber sauce is very bland. The breading on the wings is really thick w little meat, ranch sauce is bland also. Porck chop sandwich was okay might been better if i didnt get such a small pork chop. Something quick and if ur hungry it's a spot to stop at. read more

Was very excited for new place. Popped in to pick up a fast dinner for the family. 4 hot dogs took 17 minutes to get into my hands. If you want something other than dogs plan lunch and dinner time there.. They were not busy nor did I see many orders up on cooks order thing where they hang. There was 1 two bag order and the girls apologized to all guests. So the hot dogs were hot dogs and the fries are good crinkle cut. Very reminiscent of lucky dog fries. Also got a pomegranate mango italian ice but it tasted like cherry ice I get off ice cream truck for the kids. Next time I will try basic lemon ice. Yes there will be a next time because of fries. I will try other options and update this review. I am hopeful one of the order takers jumps behind the grill to speed up the waits. read more
