Burnt bun, hard puck of chicken. Tastes as gross as it looks.

Cannot believe that THIS is supposed to be a breaded chicken sandwich? A breaded triangle of processed chicken . Disgusting. Like a gas station chicken sandwich. Microwaved, hard and gross.

Kojak Drive-In is a small diner located off of 79th street in Burbank. There's a few tables set up on the inside and a long counter to order. While not particularly clean, it's not too messy on the inside. It's more or less a fairly typical older Chicago-style fast food eatery. In visiting Kojak's I decided to try the hot dog, though I had a serious temptation to try their Big baby cheeseburger. In any event I'll go over the hot dog. The hot dog I received came on a regular non-poppy seed bun. The pickle on the hot dog was thicker than I would like. There was only one slice of tomato covering roughly half the hot dog. There were no hot peppers on the dog. the application of mustard and relish was a bit heavy. The sausage itself was skinless but didn't taste very good, it either wasn't properly heated or wasn't a particularly good brand. I couldn't easily identify the vendor of the dog itself. There were also fries with this hot dog. They were fairly decent tasting though a bit greasy. On this particular trip of hot dog places I had a friend with me who felt whatever grease they cooked it in had a strange taste. I noticed an aftertaste from the fries but nothing that was an unpleasant flavor. Overall, this was a poor quality hot dog. The frank itself wasn't good tasting, it was assembled rather sloppily and just didn't taste good. The fries didn't do it any favor. If I weren't going to do hot dog reviews I would have tried the big baby. Maybe some day I will. But overall I'm going to give this one star and recommend avoiding the hot dogs.

For the quality of the food, it's highly over priced. If you're hungry, I guess it's edible. More like Nojacks

We walked back out and found the door to the restaurant. Staff is warm and friendly and we were seated quickly. Our server was Robert and he was great! He gave his recommendations for which sides would go best with our meals and I felt they were spot on. They give complimentary bread and butter. It was warm and delicious. Hubby ordered the rib tips with fries, baked beans, and had the hot and mild barbecue sauce on the side. I ordered the 1/2 dark smoked chicken dinner with mac-n-cheese, spicy Cajun green beans, and spicy honey garlic barbecue sauce. I agree with Robert, that the sauce pairs very well with the chicken. The tips were tender and falling off the bone. He didn't care for the fries and loved the baked beans, even though they were a bit too spicy for him. My chicken was also very tender and I enjoyed the smokiness. The green beans had the right amount of spice although they were not as spicy as the baked beans. The mac-n-cheese was creamy. We were too full to order dessert. Maybe next time. This is a great neighborhood staple and will definitely be back.

The lighting and décor felt festive without being overwhelming, and the space itself is huge. There's plenty of room whether you're dining with family, catching a game with friends, or just unwinding with drinks after a long day. Speaking of drinks, they're very reasonably priced--definitely worth opening a tab and relaxing for a while. For food, I tried Chuck's Wings with roasted vegetables and Cajun fries. Nothing is ever truly perfect, but these wings came close. The sauce was spot-on--easily some of the best I've had. The vegetables were cooked just right and packed with flavor, and the Cajun fries tied everything together perfectly. Overall, this spot delivers on both atmosphere and quality. Definitely worth checking out.

I wasn't sure how busy the place would be, but when we got there, there were only a couple of tables with customers. Our waitress took a while to come to our table, about 10 minues, but when she did she dropped off menus. Shortly after she brought our drinks and didnt come back to the table for almost 20 minutes. When she came back she asked if we were ready to order appetizers. We let her know we waited so long we were ready to order dinner. Everyone placed their orders with some apps and the food came out about 20 min later. The chicken wings arrived and looked good but tasted flat and were dry. As for everyone's dinner, there were a variety of issues. Some complained of the food being too salty, the samon was overcooked, and the seafood tasted gritty. As for my Chicken Madeira, it was okay. The sauce would have been better if it didn't break. It was very oily and the chicken was tough. Overall, it was a cute place but we didn't have a good experience. It may have been an off night, or just our experience that night.
