Our server was friendly and checked on us frequently but not enough to be a pest. I appreciated her cheery attitude. He ordered the rib tip dinner which is slow-smoked pork rib tips in BBQ sauce, dinner portion. I went with a cup of seafood gumbo and the Cajun BBQ shrimp grilled in Cajun butter sauce with garlic, green onions accompanied with French bread for dipping into the sauce. The crusty bread went well with the sauce. I enjoyed my shrimp very much. It could have more taste in the sauce but the shrimp was cooked well so it was not chewy. I also asked for bread for the seafood gumbo. It came with butter and was enough for both of us. The soup was fairly decent. Not the best I've had but I would order it again. The portion was perfect as it didn't fill me up so I was able to enjoy dinner without feeling stuffed. His pork rib tips were divine. Melted in your mouth soft and the bbq sauce was delish. The atmosphere was fun and sports were on the tv screens around the lounge. But it was not too loud in here for conversation. You can also pick songs to be played using the music app. He suggested I use the restrooms in the restaurant portion of the building as they might be cleaner. They have a parking lot and a sign which says not to park on Natchez or Neenah as your vehicle might be ticketed or towed by police. They put up signs to show you which way to enter the small parking lot and which way to exit so be on the lookout for them especially during busy hours. I liked this restaurant and would return.

I would like to express my disappointment with the recent decline in the quality and selection of…read morethe buffet at this establishment. During our Easter brunch visit, we noticed a significant drop in the standard we had come to expect. The management's attempt to refute our observations on Google reviews prompted me to share my experience here. The Easter Bunny was noticeably absent, and the tiny baby shrimp served appeared to be frozen and thawed, lacking any flavor. The management's response that they compensate for this with other offerings does not address the issue of the shrimp's quality. Our server was often absent during our meal, despite the fact that the restaurant was not particularly busy. In the past, there used to be long lines of people waiting to be seated, but now the place is almost deserted. The management's explanation that customers disliked the long waits does not account for the lack of reservations. I kindly suggest that it would be more beneficial to focus on improving the quality of the buffet and service rather than making excuses. I hope that the management will take these concerns into consideration and work towards restoring the establishment's reputation. EDITED. It seems like this establishment can not take criticism and stalk those who post an honest review, as evidenced not only by this review but also by others on this platform. No matter that you're not a restaurant. If you serve food, you should be prepared to serve the best. This type of social media stalking and excuse making only makes my opinion worse. If you've been in business this long, surely you've had bad reviews before. Do better, be professional, and don't act like a petulant teen girl.

But this time I will review as I was pleasantly surprised on the ambience and the quietness of the hall. This time I did notice they do have slot machines in front, which I was puzzled about since it is a banquet hall, but nothing surprises me any longer so that's just a sign of the times I guess. The service as far as the banquet hall was as always, amazing. From the bartender and the cocktail to even the prices, although this time around they do use card machines also vs cash. Cash is still king but I like the option of using my plastic and giving the cash in tips, they appreciate it and I also do. The service in the actual serving at the banquet hall was a little to all over the place. Thus, me giving the score I did. First off half of the people started leaving an hour before it ended but I think it was in part to the dinner came out and it was dragging for the servers to get all the dinners served. What struck me even more was that dessert (which basically was cake and ice cream) came out 5 minutes before we were all leaving, that is a big no no. When I asked the host what the reason was that they served it so late, she said, the staff there was responsible for serving and times so she was also perplexed. Regardless, that is unacceptable. But I digress. The food was amazing and the variety of food was perfection, served a little late but I can let that go. I still was able to try to the dessert but still I was leaving. If you want a banquet for your next function, would I recommend? Probably yes, but make sure all the kinks are fixed first as this may get you upset. Oh and did I mention, it is still fairly antiquated but functional and worth it. And parking is plentiful .

Ok this review is not to advertise this establishment but to sympathize on what they do so well as many other restaurants as well, that people don't understand and they don't recognize!Food is excellent with lots of different options ,staff is in a good mood ,attractive and efficient and there is a nice atmosphere and plenty of free parking ,prices are also great! Our server Agne was awesome as always as all the other girls that work there and our food even though it arrived a bit late was still outstanding! Why 5 stars because they are busy so the food will take longer if you like it to be fresh and tasty !Its not a fast good joint ,Stop blaming the server for the food taking long or not tasting good ,they are there to serve you ,they don't actually make your food! The guests directly behind us were so rude trying to flag down the server while she was at a different table, when you are the only table that does that and another 30-35 guests are ok,then you need a servant bot a server !So for all of you that go to this restaurant or any other restaurant and complain for every little thing ,try to be a part of a restaurant operation your self and you see that is not that easy! Its stressful ,it's not as easy as it looks and servers are getting paid in tips ,SO MAKE SURE YOU TIP,they have to tip out a busboy ,food runner ,bartender and who knows who else from what they make ,so you can be happy ,so if you can't afford to tip ,take it to go !Love you all and love Xando Cafe read more

I would love to give this place amazing reviews because it's local and the food is pretty good, but my aunt and I came on a Thursday night.. Which wasn't really busy at all. And not only did they run out of frosted mugs for our beers, But the waitress didn't even know if the kitchen had cheddar cheese and our food took over an hour to get. (All we got was a veggie wrap and a Caesar pita). We ended up taking our food to go, I found a hair in my wrap.. And the waitress pretty much was terrible (coming from a fellow cafe waitress). She was giving all the tables around us amazing service (because they were primarily all males) while we waited for a new beer for over 15 minutes while our food was being prepared in the kitchen that was 'backed up'. I hate giving bad service reviews when I myself am a waitress, but it was definitely an issue. If the food is taking longer, at least make us feel like you are sympathetic and visit us every once in awhile. I got through a whole period of the blackhawks and the rest of the badgers game before she even came to check on us! Great food, but customer service was definitely lacking. read more

Food okay. Service is terrible. Went for lunch 7/3/14 with daughter and four year old grandson. Arrived at noon. Food arrived at our table at 1:10. No apology no excuses. Food would have been better if it was served hot. It was obvious from the temperature of the food that is was not served as it was put up. Waitress had one speed. S l o w. We ate outdoors and the patio furniture is so cheap the chair breaks as you sit down. Two stars for the passable food. Zero stars for the service and the ambiance. Also if you don't smoke don't sit outside. It is a smokers haven. Hard to breathe in smoke, balance on cheap plastic chairs and eat. read more

I used to eat here quite often when I worked in the area. The food is still great, the service however was very poor. Our waitress took 10 minutes to take our order, our food was up and she walked past it twice as they were asking what ticket the food was for then she never came back to check on us once. I didn't care about the fries that came with my sandwich however if I had I would have been disappointed. All broken pieces, some encrusted in salt and obviously cold from the long wait before they arrived. A little disappointed with the experience but the tuna sandwich was fantastic. read more

Are you a member of a clannish southwest suburban ethnic enclave? Do you like bad coffee? Do you enjoy getting talked down to by a plump Mediterranean eugenics enthusiast? Then this is the place for you! The food's all right, the service somewhat lackluster, the atmosphere downright bizarre for a place in a strip mall across from a gas station and a defunct Ace Hardware.
