What a great bar the people the bartenders its the best. But I can't understand why they can't get the sewer gas smell either coming from the bathrooms or the Glass washer located on the east side of the bar. Nobody wants to go into a bar and smell that. This has been going on for months and from what I understand the owner knows about it and has tried to fix it, but it's still horrendous and causing people not to show up. Definitely bad for business especially women cannot stand that smell. Please get it fixed ASAP. read more

Awful bar service, attitude from a bar maid. After dancing came back to a our drinks knocked over and all of our stuff wet. The rude barmaid made no effort to clean it up. She threw a towel at me and walked away. I don't know where she came from because i always enjoying dancing in this late night neighborhood dive. read more

What a great place to meet friends & hang out. Go in hang out and hit the dance floor if you are feeling up to grove'n to some blast from the past. This is a great local whole in the wall that's not really a whole in the wall place. A current "Cheers" type of place where you can learn everyone's name. Met some old HS friends here for drinks and to play catch up. Bar tab was only $50 for several cokes, 3 mixed drinks & 4 shots! A great deal compared to what I'm use to paying in HTown. FYI Go casual or dressy casual. Not a place I would wear club clothes, save those outfits for the swanky/hipster places downtown. read more

It's like being in someone's basement - and I mean that in a good way! I've only ever been here on a Saturday night for dancing with a group. It's always a good time. The place is kind of a hole in the wall. Beer is $2 a bottle. Wine is $6 bucks for a goblet. You can't beat the prices. The crowd can be a bit rough looking in general - so it makes for some great peopel watching! Really though, it is an over 35 crowd, casual atmosphere, and great for dancing. The DJ plays 70's to today's music. They play the old-school videos on the monitors. You can request songs and he'll usually play them. You can call ahead and reserve a table if you are going to have a crowd. You can bring your own food in if you are celebrating something. It's always a good time. There really aren't many places on the Southside to dance at - and to avoid the 20 year olds. This is the place. Don't expect anything fancy inside - expect to have a good time! read more

Love this place! Best dive bar on the southside. Drinks are cheap:) Dance floor is large and always full, but not crowded. Crowd: You will find anyone and everyone here..various ages, ethnicities, etc. Love the diversity here. It is a place where EVERYONE is welcomed! Music: 80's, 90's, 00's and some current too. Some line dancing, basically....here...anything goes. Great place to celebrate birthdays. They have TV's throughout in which they post special announcements such as birthdays and play retro music videos throughout the night. Barcode attracts a very diverse crowd. It's great for people watching. Drinks are cheap. $2 domestic beers, $3 for imports, $6 mixed drinks. It's located in a strip mall which is kind of odd. Parking lot is small and street parking is tough when busy. About a quarter of the place is a dance floor. They have a DJ on weekends and play a nice mix of oldies and newer music. Servers are friendly and do a great job working the floor. There are also three bars so getting service is not a problem. read more

Easily one of the weirdest bar/clubs I have ever been to. I didn't have a problem with it being so much a locals or cliquish feel to it. What made it a horrible experience was the house DJ's limited taste in music. He either played J LO 3 times in a row with the her music videos playing every tv or he played Pit Bull songs non stop. The weird part was he was bald,with a gold chain and medallion and he sort of mimicked every Pit Bull song video. The music was so loud I ordered a Sam Adams from a bartender and she brought me a Seagrams 7 on the rocks. After we talked about we laughed. The one good thing about this place is the bartenders and cocktail waitresses are very good. On the other the freak show of the DJ and the lousy music with an empty dance floor made this place a one and done. No thanks... read more

With signs up outside, and posts on social media about masks being required I was hopeful that this would be a bar respecting covid safety measures. However, once inside, neither the bartender nor the security staff were wearing masks. Patrons were allowed to walk around without masks as well. A local band was playing, and I watched patrons without masks get very up close and personal with them, putting them at risk. I would expect staff to protect the band, and at least ask them if that behavior was okay. Drinks are cheap, the people are nice, so I am disappointed to say I cannot return while they do not respect or adhere to covid 19 rules. read more

I love this place. It is a friendly and well run establishment. All ages gather on the weekend to dance and have fun. D,J., no cover, valet parking. Drinks are top shelf and reasonable. Nice size dance floor with two bar areas when it gets busy --- and, it does get moving late night on the weekends. It is clean and restrooms are well maintained. read more

So yesterday was worst experience i ever had with a bartender. I started come on thursday for last couple months for the kaoroke. Ashley the bartender was always slow even when you leave a drink empty on the edge you still need get her attention with evey drink. Watch 2 guys walked in and gave her their order and then 3 other people walked in and she stopped getting 2 guys drinks and got the 3 done first, another couple were playing machines went to the bar waiting for there drinks to be taken for 10 min due her talking same group people most of the evening. Plus the dog thats walks around with no leash no collar the whole evening going up people. So every time i order a drink i tipped a dollar then gentlemen was buying shots bought her one or two, end of the night had repeatly ask for his credit card she went off complaining about me not tipping her and i should go across the street. Hmmm even with his purchase i watch him tip on the receipt. Myself being in service industry i would never said or done that even if a person wasnt or didnt tip me. read more
