To go Order: sample platter & 12 wings. Everything on the platter was overcooked. The first order of hot wings were good, but the second order barely had bbq sauce on it. Which defeats the purpose of getting your wings tossed in sauce. The main issue here was that everything that came with the platter was overcooked. I spent 50 dollars just for overcooked food. Uncle Bud's is a hidden gem and hands down one of the most fun bars in the area! Came here for a casual night out and ended up having such a blast. I had the taco salad, which was super fresh and flavorful, and also tried one of their burgers--juicy, perfectly cooked, and seriously satisfying. But the real MVP? A bucket of $2 Bud Light and Coors Light drinks! Yes, $2. Total steal. The vibe here is unmatched. They've got DJ karaoke every Thursday (so fun!), and the whole place just has great energy. Went here after seeing the viral Tik tok video, and the food was really good. I ate the birria pizza, elote Mac n cheese, Parmesan garlic wings, and loaded tots. Everything was good, but the wings could've been hotter. The pizza was 10/10 super delicious, and the elote Mac n cheese was surprisingly delicious as well. The ambiance was a regular bar nothing special. I will say some of the decor could make people feel some type of way. For example, there was a sign that said something along the lines of "stand for the anthem and kneel for prayer." The service was not bad but not the best. Our waitress as very nice and helpful to us. One of the best bar food spots I've been to! Uncle Bud's completely blew me away. I had the Elote Mac and Cheese - so unique and packed with flavor, I could've kept eating it forever. The Buffalo and Habanero wings were perfectly crispy and insanely delicious. The Birria pizza - absolutely amazing. We also tried the Loaded Tater Tots and ended on a sweet note with Fried Oreos. The food definitely has potential to be good but currently very heavy handed on the salt. I had the patty melt and my husband had the Philly cheese steak. We both agreed that both sandwiches were way to salty. If it wasn't for that it would have been great. read more

Place was super chill on a Tuesday. The bartender Sarah was absolutely amazing! She was so sweet with helping us figure out what to order and she refilled our drinks without even asking. First of all the service was great. the appetizers were great which was loaded tots, cheese curls and fries. But by the time the burger came , it was super small , we waited 35-40 mins for what I would consider a 2 bite burger. Not sure if it was an off day but for the price I would think it should be a 8oz burger. read more

Went here to try it for lunch. The parking lot and sidewalk has broken glass all over. We went in and the bar looks clean and like every other bar. The bartender was nice. We asked for menus and she gave ua some time to order. We got waters while we decided. We ordered a sampler platter and a burger. The platter was delivered and we were a little taken aback at $19 for a sparse helping of each item. The boneless chicken breast chunks tasted unflavored and were dry. Half the onion petals had no onion in them.. just breading. The burger looked grey. Then we found multiple hairs in the burger when we cut it in half. We gave it a shot because we were told how great the kitchen was here. We left and don't plan to return after what we got from the kitchen. read more

My daughter and I went here and I was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance was nice in a neighborhood bar type of way. It was well lit and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. We had the birria pizza, bone in buffalo and Parmesan cheese chicken wings as well as French fries. The food was very good, well seasoned, hot and worth the price. While I was eating the shrimp basket I found a black hair in my food as it was reviewed by the bartender and the kitchen staff I decided I would try again and accepted the other they were offering. Then while waiting for my replacement by boyfriend found a piece of hard plastic in his fries from the burger he ordered. The bartender did seem a little bothersome however we gave it a fair chance by having ordered a soup and tater tots prior. Honestly, this place was so good. The food came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor -- you can tell they actually care about what they're serving. Uncle Bud`s in Oak Lawn,Il has a lot of delicious food items on their food menu which is second to none but I am just going to focus on my favorite menu item and that is the delicious bone in wings .This week it will be my 49th straight week of eating them as i head for one year and beyond. They come out extra crispy with just an mouth watering flavor and dipping into the barbeque sauce they provide makes for an unforgettable meal.
