Casa Birria Burrito

I LOVE BIRRIA ANYTHING FROM HERE. They have never done me wrong when it comes to their birria it's to the point I don't eat birria from anywhere else because it's never the same. I love to food and the service and it's close to home.

Chips and amazing salsa!

Promptly greeted inside this clean and nicely decorated restaurant and they also had Christmas decorations displayed for the holidays. Great music playing too. There is also a "slot" room in the back separate from the dining and bar area if you wanted to play. My server was the greatest. She offered great recommendations. I ordered the Buffalo shrimp appetizer and that did not disappoint! So good! The shrimp were super sized and grilled perfectly. I also enjoyed two tacos. One chorizo with a flour tortilla and a chicken with a corn tortilla. Both amazing. The flour tortilla was buttery and lightly crisp but still soft and had great flavor. The salsa was so good I think it was the best I ever had. Chunky and spicy with slices of jalapeños! The have a full bar and the Mexican Mule I had was superb! They also had "Happy Hour" specials too. Great food at a great price. There were not many customers when I was there but this restaurant had some amazing food! Go there and see for yourself!!!

Mahi mahi tacos and ceviche. Excellent!

We went to this place for a mid-week lunch break. The place is so festive and you just have to stop and take a moment to look around. The service was great. We were greeted right away, and our food came quickly. I had the fish tacos and the ceviche, and it was really good. We also had frozen margaritas. They have so many flavors to choose from, and best of all, it was fairly inexpensive!

Among the better places for Mexican around here. Casa De Tacos is the best place to drink and also to eat in Matteson. It has a pretty large menu of beverages including of course tequila. Food menu isn't as big but there's burritos, tacos, and other favorites. The prices for tacos are pretty good especially on Tuesdays when they have specials. Has specials on drinks and food. It had this one special on tequila shots. They have lots of tequila. It was $5 for 1800 Silver, among other brands. This can be made into a mixed drink such as with a juice. Good stuff. Of course they also have taco specials on Tuesdays. It's $2 for beef or chicken. This unfortunately doesn't include Veggie Tacos. It's $3.50 at the regular price. These have beans, cheese, fajitas, lettuce, onions, rice, sour cream, and tomatoes. Good drinks and food. It's best to come on a Tuesday. They have some limited but good choices for vegetarians.

Went here for a neighbors night out. It had just opened so we wanted to go and support. The place is wide open with windows with a little parking up front and more in the back. Gary was our waiter and he was nice and informative on the menu. He also advised of the tip on the bill which we likes as some places post it but don't remind. We got three apps-Buffalo chicken wings which were the size of my thumb with a big wing price and yes I took a pic. Good but too small for a grown man. Loaded fries with birria which were good. Also a chicken quesadilla which was smoky so a nice taste although one friend thought salty. They didn't have small plates so if your a large table sharing, it can get crowded. Drinks were decent and it's mostly tequila drinks if you didn't guess from the name. Beer is available so check the selection if you're picky. The salsa and chips were great and you will need to ask for more as it is served in a little cup. At least it was for three people for sure. For dinner I had the carne asada. Meat was great. Rice was dry and tasteless and beans tasted bland. Burrito in a bowl was large and looked like a taco salad. My friend said she liked it. She took a lot home. My friend had the fish taco and said it was just okay. I will try this place again, if for the drinks and salsa and apps.

My husband and I were so excited to have another eatery open up in our neck of the woods and could not wait for opening day. However, due to our busy schedules, we finally made our way here. This is a nice place with a fun vibe. There is also a small bar area if you choose not to sit at a table. We didn't want to dine in and opted to order take-out. The gentleman at the cash register who took our order was very friendly and had excellent customer service. After a long day dealing with the public, we appreciate the return customer service. Now, on to the food. We both ordered the carne asada bowls and an order of guacamole and chips. We both liked the presentation because it wasn't slopped together. The steak, itself, was tender, but the overall bowl, lacked flavor. We were also told that we would get a mild and hot sauce on the side, but it was not included with our order. The guacamole was good, but we didn't receive chips with it. We both had a long day and too tired to go back, and we did have chips at home, so it wasn't a big deal.

The food was good. Our waitress may have been new, she stated she didn't know what a birria taco; I found that interesting. They had karaoke night it was cool. My husband had the combo fajitas, he said they were delicious!

My wife and I visited this location on a Thursday evening and was able catch the happy hour for $5 shots and margaritas and 2 for $5 tacos. I ordered the 2 steak taco dinner with beans and rice, a Cadillac frozen margarita, 1 grilled chicken taco, and 1 chicken tinga taco, with elote in the cup. My wife ordered the 2 shrimp taco dinner with beans and rice, a blue raspberry and pineapple margarita, and elote in a cup. The food and drinks were great! Fresh and seasoned. The drinks were strong and delicious, even while frozen. The restaurant wasn't crowded and the music was ok. Our servers Noah and Easton were attentive and knowledgeable on the menu. Noah recommended the chicken tinga taco as his favorite and I would also agree. My wife and ain't were reluctant to come here due to the reviews. However, we are so glad we gave them a shot! We will certainly come back and make this one of our regular outings.

02/2022 Casa Birria Tacos with steak instead of goat. The first time that I ordered these, this way, it was at the recommendation of the waitress. I actually didn't order it but my dining guest did and it was delicious! So I ordered it for myself this time around and it was still delicious but so greasy that the meat weakened the double shells. I honestly think that I was served the goat meat but their steak has been sooooooo tender the three time's I've ordered it that I wasn't able to tell for certain.

Had a taco special the other day, awesome. Micah was my server. If you get her, she is wonderful and she is also a die-hard Chicagoawes Bears fan, so make her day by saying 'Go Bears' Great casual spot in the area. Servers are all great as is the food. Give it a try, you will come away happy

My friend and I visited for Saturday lunch and it wasn't crowded. We were able to sit where we wanted which was nice. For drinks, I got a French Martini and she got a Dirty Martini. Both were delicious and served in beautiful glasses. We later shared an espresso martini. The server asked if we wanted cream in it; get the cream. We definitely second guessed ourselves with being asked; but thankfully, it was easy to add in after the fact. For food, we shared some bites. The Caesar Salad was the most underwhelming items but we thoroughly enjoyed everything else. The Crispy Brussel Sprouts and Truffle Fries were my favorites. The boneless wings were good but we got sauces on the side. My Garlic Parm sauce wasn't my favorite but my friend enjoyed her Spicy Garlic sauce. Overall, this is a great spot in Downtown Frankfort to get together with a big group, enjoy a date night, or catch up with friends. They have a good variety of good and drinks as well as a fun atmosphere. Definitely recommend visiting when in the area!

This place is amazing! You walk in to a trendy fun and welcoming bar. The bar tenders greeted us with friendly smiling faces. We found a place to sit in the back & we were given menus. Neither of us had ever been there before so we asked for recommendations. We went with something fruity, I think it was called paradise something, it had pineapple and coconut in it. But we had that to start. It was delicious. Then she came back and I asked for a recommendation on the dessert portion of the menu and she said the cupcake martini was a huge hit and so my friend & I did went with that -- just a note the cupcake martini has a lot more alcohol in it than the first one, whoa... -- but it was still really good! My friend and I had a blast while drinking our martinis and enjoying the atmosphere in the lounge. The way they set it up is really nice. I went home and immediately told my boyfriend about it. I'm really looking forward to going back and trying out different drinks! I haven't heard people talk about this place. It's like a hidden gem in Homewood!

However, a friend got stood up, so I came in to fill the spot. First, I have to say this is definitely a nice little spot tucked into Homewood. It sits right in the heart of its town-ish downtown area and really completes that "where to go and meet the locals" vibe. The staff is always nice, and the drinks are always strong. Honestly, I would love to have something like this in the South Loop, but at the same time, I think part of what makes it work is exactly where it is. The main floor is comfortable and accessible, with loveseats, bar stools, and plenty of space to settle in. It falls just a hair short of having that comfortable neighborhood restaurant feel, just without the restaurant or the food. The cool part is that you can bring in food from any of the local places down the street, which fits perfectly with the whole neighborhood atmosphere. Then there's the basement speakeasy, which has an entirely different feel and is easily one of my favorite parts of the place. Overall, this is one of those places that reminds you that you don't always have to head into the city to find a great night out. It's comfortable, welcoming, has plenty of personality, and feels like it belongs exactly where it is. If you're in the south suburbs and looking for a place to grab a strong drink, meet up with friends, or just settle in and enjoy the evening, this should absolutely be on your list.

I've been recommended to try this place more than a few times, but we were reluctant to pay what we call "the Frankfort tax". We started our dinner with their new egg roll appetizer and a couple of drinks. I had a Japanese-style old fashioned with Japanese whiskey (of which I've never tried) and it was good! Not overdone with the syrup/sugar, and the whiskey was smooth. The eggrolls! WOW the eggrolls. They were fried fresh in clean oil and so so good. They nailed it with the menu addition. I can't exactly remember which sushi rolls we got, but we for sure went all out. Of the 3 I ordered for myself, the spicy salmon roll stood out the most. Unlike other sushi joints, the salmon in this roll was cut into bigger pieces with less sauce -- it was more about the FISH and it stood out. It was very fresh and not fishy at all. Bar none the best salmon roll I've ever had. The decorations were great and unique. I loved the cherry blossom trees and the wall of figurines! The service was great as well, our server was attentive while the busboys were quick to clean our table. We even received a free dessert for our milestone! They also had someone walking around with accompaniments for our water. The only thing I can really nitpick in this department is the restaurant wasn't particularly busy, yet they sat another couple directly next to us. The restaurant is very close quarters. All in all, this is just about the best sushi experience I've ever had. It was well worth the price and I really don't have any complaints. It was a perfect choice to celebrate 3 years together!

The restaurant is located in what appeared to be a very safe and affluent area, with plenty of parking available and a nice park nearby that's perfect for a walk after dinner. The prices are definitely on the higher end, but the food was excellent. We especially loved the tuna roll and eel roll. Both tasted incredibly fresh; honestly, it felt like the chef had just caught the fish moments before preparing it. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. One minor complaint was the water. It was served without ice and tasted somewhat bland. I'm not sure if it was heavily filtered or just sitting at room temperature, but it was lukewarm and not particularly refreshing. Our waitress was fantastic: very attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the meal. The only service issue we encountered was that the busser cleared one of our plates before we had completely finished eating, which made us feel a little rushed. Overall, it was a great dining experience with outstanding food, excellent service, and a sophisticated atmosphere. While the prices are high, the quality of the sushi makes it well worth considering for a special occasion.
