Decided to go as a full family after my husband and daughter went before prior to a Tinley Park concert. I'm so happy we did. The vibe was relaxing. The music was like they were playing my playlist. And the drinks were great. It was a busy day as it was lunchtime before a Tinley Park concert, but we weren't in a rush. I did participate in the gaming and won on Frankenstein. So that was exciting! Right next to my hotel, this was a very convenient place to stop in and grab a bite. Came here twice last week. First night I ordered the b look as black and bleu burger with pita and pimento cheese, and breaded pudding. Everything tasted good. Server was awesome and very attentive and checking in. Second night I came I sat at the bar. Got the chicken and quinoa. It was fantastic. Bartender wasn't as great as the server the other night, but not bad. Hubby and I came here for dinner. It is located in the Tinley Park hotel area with ample parking. The staff is warm and welcoming, and we were seated quickly. Our server was Annie. She is just as friendly and lovely. The vibe is lively. The music is loud, and their bar area is nice, with TVs throughout. Hubby ordered the steak and potatoes, and I ordered the fish and chips. We both enjoyed our meals. Hubby said his steak was seasoned really well, and he took half of my fish, which he also said was really good, and I agree. North & Maple is a nice looking venue, near the highway, near lodging, however the folks at the hosting table do not look experienced at all in their role and my experience with one gentleman was not great. He was rude and abrupt. If your first experience walking through the door is rude and abrupt then it sets the tone for all other experiences you have. I would not recommend North & Maple Kitchen + Bar simply because it appears that their staff at the front door are lacking training, process, professionalism and they certainly have no idea how much impact that has on the rest of their business. Also just an observation, perhaps having more than two bar tenders working on a Saturday night for your gigantic oversized bar might help service in getting drink timely. read more

our group of 8 had a reservation here at North & Maple for a team dinner and we enjoyed it! they were very considerate of one of my coworkers who is gluten free, i believe she was told that they cook their gluten free items separately from other items, but i wasn't close enough to hear fully. i ordered their mockarita for a drink and we shared the wisconsin cheese curds and n'orleans shrimp. i liked my mockarita but it was definitely on the sweeter side. everyone who tried the shrimp also really enjoyed it but i feel like for $16 it could've came with a bit more shrimp and bread for it to be shareable. the cheese curds weren't too bad either, i only had one but would've ate more if i wasn't on a diet haha. for my main i ordered the mediterranean branzino from the featured menu and i cleaned my whole plate. the dish was well seasoned from the fish, to the mashed potatoes, and to the green beans. any of the dishes that came with mashed potatoes everyone loved! everyone who didn't finish their food took their food to go because the portions were big. the waitress refilled our waters consistently and made sure we were taken care of. she was also informative when anyone had any questions. if you wanted to watch a game or something while dining there were plenty of tvs around so you wouldn't miss a thing. they played a lot of 2000s hits which was interesting but can get a bit loud. they have weekly entertainment like on bingo tuesdays and jazz wednesdays with other events/entertainment sprinkled throughout the week which can be found on their website! i would definitely come back to North & Maple next time i'm in tinley park. i would love to try more items and come during bingo or jazz! read more

We werent sure why the music was so loud, the place was fairly empty. the meatball appetizer was disgusting. I've never seen meatballs that were white. they were total mush and tasted freezer burned. the draft beer tasted like soap & left and after taste, which means they don't clean their taps. The burger was premade and reheated, (or that's what it tasted like and consistency of the meat was like). It came with fries (best part of the visit) but only enough ketchup given for a 1/4 of the fries. The wife got beef stroganoff, the noodles were all congealed together, and the beef was tough. My girls and I came here on a whine after reading the reviews on Google and tik tok. They were very welcoming as we entered and quick to serve us. There was a band setting up as we walked in. Don't let the name fool you, thought this would be a hole in the wall cafe. Instead we found an up scale Restaurant / bar. We were impressed with the broad selection on the menu and when we asked our server what was good, she described so many popular dishes with enticing detail that we finally just had to make a choice. We started off with some hand breaded cheddar curds and southwestern egg rolls. Both were very good. I had the Rigatoni that came in a creamy red sauce with slices of a good fennel Italian sausage. My wife had the fish and chips and the fish was crispy on the outside and firm on the inside with great flavor. Our other guests had the pot roast and beef stroganoff and there was no need for to-go boxes for anyone. The only down side was the lighting was very poor, the only light near our table was behind me so I cast a shadow on my plate, needed to use my flashlight to take pictures and my flashlight to read the bill. Secondly the music was loud so it was difficult to carry on a conversation across the table. If rating on food and service alone, 5 stars however, with the music and lighting had to drop to 4. read more

First time here , Cracker Barrel had too long of a wait so ended up here . Got there when they opened so there was no wait . I ordered the pretzel bites which clearly stated it came with IPA infused cheese . It was the reason why I ordered it ! It got to the table and .. nacho cheese . When you hear the name North & Maple Kitchen + Bar you think quality and a more elevate dining experience than our regular restaurants in the burbs. It was not what I expected at all unfortunately. Came in on a Tuesday afternoon and here's my experience. Coming in it was very Dark and Cold. It didn't have a warm inviting energy that you think it would. I sat at the Bar and was so excited to order a Espresso Martini. I like to say I'm a bit of a espresso martini connoisseur. This sound like a place that would make a good one. I was wrong. It was literally creamer in a glass. If you know anything about a espresso martini, it is DARK at the bottom and as you come up you have that nice froathy layer on top (and maybe some coffee beans on top for aesthetic). Look at the color of my "espresso martini", the drink was VERY sweet and tasted like a glass of creamer. It was so hard to drink, my friend returned it. I tried to be a trooper by finishing it. It's the worse I've had. Also be aware that they don't use fresh espresso. From what I saw he used coffee liquor, BAILEYS & KAHLUA (double creamer) and no REAL espresso was added. For the food: I was starving but was so turned off that I didn't wanna bother with food and just ordered fries. You can't mess fries up and they didn't. Nice and crunchy. My friend ordered a FLAT BREAD PIZZA. Key word: FLAT BREAD.......please look at this picture. What is FLAT about this pizza. I've never seen a flat bread pizza this thick. My friend only ate 2 slices because she was starving and packed the rest for her kids. I left and went to Cooper's hawk. I really think they should do some revamping. I don't know the vibes at night or if the night crew is better. But the day time vibe of the place could be better and warmer. Get REAL mixologist behind the bar that can craft great cocktails and train others to do the same and revisit the food menu and the food presentation. The catered food was exceptional, especially the salmon, vesuvio potatoes and fresh Caesar salad. The tablecloths are too short so buy your own instead of renting theirs. Won't be returning to North and Maple. I suggested the Mother's day brunch and would have had a better meal at a Cub Scout pancake breakfast. Garbage cocktails, inferior food, coffee (self served) in a styrofoam cup. A $120.00 reservation fee to hold 6 seats @ $40.00 per person for the brunch. I called 10 days ago to speak to the owner. Still waiting to hear back. Manager asked me what I wanted her to do. I told her I have owned 3 businesses in my life and if I had a customer who was upset with my service I knew exactly what to do. If you don't know what to do expect more reviews like this one. The manager told me they served 400 guests that day. So let's see at approx $40 per guest times 400 guests = $16,000 plus 20% gratuity added. Wow! At least you could have served flakey biscuits and warm Tater Tots. The food on a buffet should represent some of the food on the regular menu. Stop in some time when Jen's Guest House in Willow Springs is serving a buffet. I've been in this restaurant two times, and it was definitely a different vibe each time. My first time here I was with family for a high school graduation. We actually had a good time , even though service was a little slow since it was super busy. My second time was this weekend with my gf. Our server Christine actually did a great job, no complaints about her at all. Our problem was when we walked into the establishment and you can feel and see the other customers staring at us.
