I revisited Avocado Theory today, looking for vegan options and found their avocado vegan panini and the avocado brownie, which is also a vegan delicacy. I dug in and enjoyed every morsel. It was well prepared, fresh, and delicious. I also indulged in a couple bottles of their smoothies, blueberry with avocado, banana, bananas, cane sugar, and a strawberry banana with the same cane sugar also vegan friendly. I originally learned of this place when I worked in Tinley Park a couple years ago and drove all the way from Chicago today to go there to treat myself. As usual, I was greeted with kindness by Chris, who was working the register at the time. The ambience is surreal, it provides a quiet place to enjoy your food, read, work or if you need to just reflect on life. This is one of my favorites and although they're not close to Chicago, it's worth the drive! I was a little disappointed that they no longer have my avocado rolls. I really enjoyed those but everything is still good. I wish I could get more vegan options on the menu but overall, Avocado Theory is a 12 out of 10. read more

We stopped by for lunch on a Saturday afternoon to meet our family as they have been here before and highly recommend. As expected, everything on the menu has avocado! this place is definitely casual as you walk in and place your order and then sit down and they bring it to you. There is indoor and outdoor seating. They don't serve soda but do have a couple tea options My only issue is the service when we went was super slow. It seemed as though they were understaffed for the amount of customers but our food took a long time. The appetizers came out with the food (fried avocado - would not order again but interesting to try) and then my nephews food was at least 15 minutes after everyone else (all he ordered was the pancakes) we had to go check on the food because it was taking so long. I will say the staff was friendly about it and also brought some fun coloring squares and stickers to the kids which was a fun bonus. Overall I enjoyed my food. The wrap was a little dry so next time I would add more sauce if I got it again. read more

I ordered the bacon egg croissant, by what the picture looks like on the website it makes it look very fresh, but no my avocado came rotten. I took one bite and it tasted off, so I opened the croissant up, and all the avocado they put on it was old and blackish/brownish. I am pregnant so i was genuinely craving this meal thinking I was going to love it but I couldn't even eat the meal after that, the avocado was super bad and rotten, which is crazy because they are known for their fresh avocados. On top of that, I called in right when I placed the order to ask for extra avocados and the guy over the phone sounded rude and had an attitude. You would think that they would use fresh avocados and throw the bad ones out but no. They also probably thought I wouldn't see it since it was under everything in the croissant, but the minute I bite into it I could just taste the spoiled avocado coming from it. I also ordered from them a while ago and I ordered a kids grilled cheese, it was okay, the strawberries weren't very fresh and it also didn't come with the apple juice I was supposed to get with it. My friends and I came here for lunch, and my feelings are a bit mixed. I live in the neighborhood, so we walked over from my place. I can't comment on their parking situation, but I believe they do have a small lot. The place is cozy, but it has a restaurant feel to it. The staff were warm and welcoming. We were greeted right away, and menus were available in a wall bin for us to grab and review before ordering at the counter. After placing your order, you can choose your seat, and your food will be brought to your table. One friend got the chicken wrap and avocado cheesecake and went to grab a table. Another ordered the chicken panini and avocado colada and was given a table number. I also ordered the chicken panini along with avocado egg rolls, but I wasn't given a table number. We didn't realize only one of us had a table number until she mentioned it, but thankfully, the cashier who took our orders brought the food directly to us. There was a small hiccup with my order--the family behind us got their food before mine. It wasn't a big issue since we were catching up, and the cashier was very apologetic when my meal finally arrived, which I appreciated. As for the food, my friends thought their sandwiches lacked flavor, and my panini didn't have any avocado. I realized something was missing, but didn't notice exactly what until I was almost done eating--partly because I was just enjoying spending time with my friends. My friends enjoyed their colada and cheesecake. We shared the egg rolls, which we also enjoyed; the ingredients were fresh. Although my sandwich didn't have avocados, it won't deter me from coming back and trying another menu item. In June during my travels I had opportunity to try this quaint restaurant for lunch. I love avocados so when I realized that is the main ingredient for all their items on the menu I was interested. First of all, avocados are so good for you and the way it's prepared in the sandwich was superb. Also, that homemade avocado green dressing is so delicious you can drink it...put it on everything. My favorite was the avocado fries and the vegan falafel avocado wrap and well balanced with flavors. The chicken panini is also a good go-to on the menu for lunch. It's a big sandwich so I had leftovers. Also, the freshly made juices is a good perk for that healthy beverage. Next time I'm in town will definitely want to go try more menu items. I have been going to avocado theory for a long time. Today I ordered the salmon dill toast. I've noticed the size of the bread and the amount of salmon constantly going down. And then having things delivered it's like you don't care. Imagine my surprise to walk into a restaurant where EVERYTHING is avocado themed. Want fries with that, try the avocado fries. Thinking of philly cheesesteaks, try the avocado philly. Unfortunately I finally have to make a negative review. It seems ever since the new location has opened, every time I come to this location I leave unsatisfied. For example, my favorite thing and go-to item: the avocado fries. Multiple times they have come out cold/undercooked. And the sauce always seems to taste quite different each visit. Today it was spicy which was unexpected. I also ordered avocado toast plain; it had a lot of large brown spots and I also found 2 seeds hidden in the avocado. Thankfully I'm not allergic but that's seriously disappointing. Lastly, if a drink is that expensive, I feel it should come in a glass cup instead of a plastic bottle. Please make some improvements!! We usually do takeout and the food is amazing whether it is delivered or if we pick it up. Both the tomato basil, and the mushroom soup are amazing! When I did dine in, I was cleaning up after myself, and a server saw me and said to not worry, he would take care of everything. Picky eater here . I ran across Avocado Theory on my out of Naperville and made a u-turn to check it out. Well worth the effort. I was told they opened on May 5. I tried the avocado toast sampler, the pancakes, and the strawberry refresher. The staff were extremely welcoming before I even walked in the door and the food was beyond delicious. They answered my questions regarding how the food was made and what it was made with. I truly appreciate the quality of service and food and will be back soon! Cute little counter-service restaurant on the main drag. Families and friends were dining out on a Friday. I thought the kids menu was very well designed with a juice, a fruit, main (eg. grilled cheese) and little salad. 10/10 for that. The adults in our group got the fettuccine (10/10) and ramen (not bad, gingery miso style broth; a bit pricey for what it is, but you do get an extremely large bowl).The mushroom soup was not so good. I went with the Avocado House Sampler ($9.99, 2 avo fries, 2 avo deviled eggs, 2 avo eggrolls halves and 2 avo onion rings. Served with aioli and sweet and sour sauce.) My husband was smart enough to ask if everything included was vegetarian, and the deviled eggs do defaultly come with bacon, but they were able to exclude that. While it was probably more fried foods than I should be eating at this stage of my life lol, everything was delicious! My husband had the Avocado French Toast ($13.99). He enjoyed his meal, but I found it to be overpriced for the serving size. We rounded out our meal with the Avocado Cheesecake ($4.99 for a generous portion) and Lemon Avocado Pound Cake ($2.99). If you're a non-loving avocado person, you WILL find a dish here that you'll like - I promise you that. In some of them the avocado is so hidden you can't even taste it. The owner, Krunal, is such a passionate leader who started out selling his guacamole at farmers markets near the location that is now Avocado Theory. Coming from India, he's never had avocados until he came here to the US. Fast forward a few years and obstacles later, Avocado Theory was born! I work 5 mins away from Avocado Theory so my coworkers tried them out last time and they deliver within a 10 mile radius. My coworkers already told me that food was delicious so coming in knowing they already love it I had high expectations and they did not disappoint. They have parking in the back which was very convenient. This was my first time there and I tried the mango avocado smoothie, avocado mango salsa toast, avocado chicken cauliflower rice, avocado Mac and cheese and my favorite was the avocado fries and avocado cheesecake. This is a new location. Its a kiosk format in the lobby of the Orland Park Health & Fitness Center. I was really excited to try this new location because it is 5 minutes from home. And I absolutely love their main restaurant in Tinley Park. I know the location and concept is new. And it needs to be tweaked. However I was disappointed. I expected the place to be staffed and my food to be made fresh. But neither was the case. The food was in containers in the refrigerator and no employees. The food was not labeled properly so you had no idea what was in the container. Everything was premade like you would get at Jewel. But the prices were the same as the main restaurant where the food is made fresh. Now that I have vented I can say that the two sandwiches we purchased were very good! I had the Chicken Wrap and my wife the Turkey sandwich or panini. Mine had little to no avocado on it. And my wife's had none. We also had the brownie which was delicious. We will not be back as this new venture is a fail. But we will continue to visit the main location in Tinley Park as that is awesome! read more

The staff is nice and helpful with the menu, etc. They have a good setup with the drinks and take-out containers. Coffee in pumpers is help yourself as well. My only complaint was the "scratchy chairs" scraping against the floor. I mentioned it to the owner a few months ago on my last visit but they didn't do anything about it as promised. read more

Hey, I'll say it...it's kind of a weird concept? Everything has avocado. The wraps, the salads, even the soups? The family just got back from a vacation where we did a lot of driving and eating so we wanted a healthier option for lunch. I went with their signature avocado chicken panini, my wife got a cauliflower rice bowl, and we ordered a quesadilla for our toddler - which of course came with a small side of avocado slices. The staff was nice, and they had the windows wide open due to the unusual summery late September weather. It was fairly busy for lunch but we were able to easily find a seat for us. My wife really enjoyed her cauliflower bowl, calling it one of the best she'd ever had, and my baby seemed to like his quesadilla, which was plain cheese (though I think he liked the little clementine slices more). The kids menu also came with an apple juice which was nice. I liked my panini - the chicken wasn't dry at all though ironically it could've used a bit more avocado spread. The menu is massive and has lots of things that make sense and some definite oddities. Still, I think it's great to have a place popular with the locals and lots of healthy options, and will recommend it to all my south burb friends. read more

Luckily you get a dip on the side which helped them a lot. Next I went in on the chicken salad croissant. It came with red grapes and walnuts. Unfortunately it didn't come with any flavor.
