Went on a Sunday 5pm. Desiree and Anastasia spoiled us with their constant attention. Ask for them! We have been coming here since the 70's and we keep returning because of the quality of food. The Prime Rib with au jus is always amazing. The flavor always stays the same and trust me that you will crave it. The appetizer was equally delicious and had shrimp that was as big as my palm that melted in your mouth! The fillet bites made you want to order more. The chicken was so tender and juicy. Seasoning on all the dishes were 5 star. I had a melt in your mouth fillet that was as big as a baseball and cut like butter. I shared the spinach gratin because it was off the charts. Even their baked potatoes and crusty bread made us smile. We are counting days until we return. It's like stepping into a great supper club. It had that very chill 70's vibe. Dimly lit, the baby grand piano was being played, everyone talking to eachother at the bar and the dinner tables. The bar had little white lights behind the bar and the bartender made a perfect Manhattan. The bar was busy but we didn't wait long he was very aware of who needed what. We were then seated in a busy dining room, but the service was on point. Always asking what we needed. The waitress let's just say she knew what we needed. For dinner we started with the shrimp cocktail big as my palm. Delicious. I ordered the surf and turf, a petite filet and a 8oz lobster tail which was done to perfection. My husband had the demonic steak. Our sides were a baked potato, spinach au gratin and scalloped potatoes. Wow! All great. Could not skip dessert. The best beef barley soup I've ever had! Tender chunks of beef in a beautiful brown broth..plenty of barley. My husband and I both had the salmon, which came with a baked potato and asparagus. As someone who is pretty picky about supper clubs, I can confidently say that Jack Gibbons did a fantastic job. The music and ambience give off that perfect, authentic old-school vibe that is so hard to find these days. We started the night with drinks, and their Cosmos, Old-Fashioneds, and Manhattans were all expertly crafted and delicious. You also have to try the bread and that incredible creamy garlic dressing and balsamic vinegar dressing for the salad, both were absolute highlights. For the main course, I had the shrimp and turf with a baked potato, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his steak and scalloped potatoes; everything was high-quality and cooked to perfection. We saved room for dessert, and I'm so glad we did, the Grasshopper milkshake was a nostalgic treat, and the lemon cake was light, refreshing, and the perfect finish to the meal. This is an old school steakhouse. Big red booths, coat check room and long bar. Bathrooms are newly renovated and still more signs up asking to pardon their dust so look for more upgrades maybe. You get bread, 3 bean salad and coleslaw. Butter is cold (ugh) which drives me nuts. Room temp always IMO. All three were decent. I had the small Prime rib with baked potato. Potato was cooked perfectly and my meat as requested. I also got creamy and shredded horseradish which was nice. It was a nice hunk for a small. Every city needs more restaurants like this! I travel through this area frequently for work and thoroughly enjoy coming here. The old school vibe is awesome. On my most recent visit I ordered the 24oz Prime Rib, it was very good and packed with flavor. There was also a good crust build up on the top which added another layer of flavor. The dining room is dark and large, divided into sections. Shrimp De Johne was very light on garlic. We ordered it as an appetizer. Martinis are steakhouse sizes. Very limited wine list. We arrived at 5:30. Ordered about 6:30 pm and discovered they were out of prime rib. Mushroom soup was tasty but tight on mushrooms. The meat entrees were all monstrous except for wee filet and one other. Delmonico was tasty but seemed to be a little fatty.. Meat came out hot. Sides were lukewarm or less. Waitstaff is uneven. Bus staff were on top of table but waitstaff were spotty in attention to the table. Overall meal was good but pricey. Not sure we would return. read more

Went searching for a nice vintage neighborhood restaurant and came across this place which has been there for over 80 years!! Definitely tucked away where only the locals can find. Place has plenty of parking. The restaurant itself is very vintage on the inside. Feels like a scene from a Robert DeNiro and Joe Pesci movie! Great atmosphere! Hostess was very friendly. Our server Liz was friendly as well and very helpful since we had never been here. She gave us a full run through of the menu and all the signature items. Their main signature dish was steak. Menu has a nice variety of options. We ordered like 4 different entrees. Delmonico Steak - was HUGE! 32 ozs with a butter garlic that came on top. The quality of the meat was a very HIGH grade but it lack favor and needed more seasoning. King Prime Rib - was even MORE HUGE!! This entree was my favorite of all the food we got. The Ajou definitely helped to make sure the favor was good. It was cooked perfectly. And did I mention it is HUGE! 64 ozs!!! Fried Chicken - this was my least favorite dish. It didn't really have any favor at all. We also ordered Spinach Au gratin potatoe Mushrooms Grilled onions Mashed potatoes Spinach & Au Gratin potatoes were the only ones that I would recommend. We also ordered oysters Roc & Buffalo shrimp. Oysters were good. Shrimp were tasty as well. The restaurant make all the salad dressing. And lastly...the chocolate cake. Was amazing!
