Their sandwiches are real good and come with tots and fantastic soup. Lunch special includes a free beer.

Louisa's Pizza & Pasta - A horrible pizza and bad customer service

We went to Louisa's around 3:30 on a Friday afternoon, a half hour after they open. We ordered the…read morepizza which is pan style, a medium size with half sausage, half only cheese. There can be a 45-minute wait for the pizza, so we also ordered the Polenta appetizer, which was a little mushy but still tasted good. Although I am not a big fan of pan style, I think this pizza was very good in that category. I like that the crust tasted like pizza dough, rather than cornmeal like some other places. The sauce is not that sweet and has small chunks of tomato, but not too many. The cheese had a good flavor and consistency. The sausage also tasted good. We felt very welcomed by the server, and I appreciate that he put our order in immediately so we didn't have to wait very long for the pizza to get done. Louisa's is quite nice, the decor is just right for an Italian restaurant, the music playlist is perfect, and the lighting is dark but I could still read the menu okay. There is a photo collage on one wall which includes Louisa in several photos. The bar area is well lit but still cozy. There is ample parking along the North side of the building and behind it. I want to come back to try their dinner entrees!

We held a surprise 50th wedding anniversary party at Aurelio's in Tinley Park for my sister and…read morebrother-in-law. I can't say enough about the place. Leo (one of the owners) was amazing at working with us on short notice to have all the arrangements in place. He let us come in a couple hours early to decorate the party room. All of the staff were fantastic! (Especially Marlene, she even came outside and helped us unload the decorations from the cars!) The pizza, salad, and dressings were great. We had one guest who was gluten free and Leo even included that with our package. Everyone there commented on what a great party it was and a few stated that it was literally the BEST veggie pizza that they ever had. There is no doubt that our family, and/or one of our guests, will hold another party there in the future. Thank you to Aurelio's of Tinley Park!

Been here a number of times over the years, and we can say they still make a good thin crust pizza…read more The dining room seems a bit outdated ... in fact, it doesn't seem like they have invested in the interior in 20 years. The place is not run down, but it is dated. Maybe they are just holding on to the corner lot where they have a prime location. The dining room only had a few people in it, and thus the service was good. They don't seem to do the business they used to, but even with that it's hard to beat a pizza served fresh to your table off the oven. The house Chianti was very nice and priced the same. While we prefer the much larger Homewood original location, this place can stand in in a pinch.
