I rented the standard room on 11/15/2025 for a celebration of life. Jenna and Jack (workers at Blarney) took excellent care of us. They had the tables nicely laid out, they were so fast with cleaning up dishes, getting us drinks and making sure everything was on point. The food was cooked in house and honestly was excellent. We had herb chicken, pasta, beef, salad and cookies. All of our guests loved the food. I'm so happy I had the event at Blarney Stone. The price was so reasonable. I highly recommend! read more

Was really disappointed in the pizza. Had 2 pizzas made for pick up, picked them up and they were piping hot and well done as requested, but they tasted terrible. We had been to the pub before with a pub crawl and the food and service were stellar. The steak is brought out raw and on a very hot stone. You keep the meat on the stone and cook it as you go. However, last night they failed big time on the service. Only 8 of the 10 of us were served dinner. The server kept asking us if we needed anything else. We were all like YES - 2 people still need their dinners!!!!We all finished eating and they still were not served. Again the server said " ok do you want anything else or just the bill? We were like - how about their two meals? The only reason anything was escalated up is because one of our parties demanded to speak to a manager. The manager threw 2 drink tickets down on the table and apologized and said I hope you come back. Then the kitchen manager came out to talk to us- she was nice - but couldn't offer much to compensate. Our evening was ruined. The happy fun vibe of the evening was sucked out of the night. Both parties that were treated so badly just wanted to go home. One person got their meal and we all sat and watched him eat (how awkward for him). He was offered 50% off his meal and The other took her steak home - they did comp her meal - but seriously THE WORST customer service- I have ever experienced!! Everything you need to know about this bar can be summed up in this first paragraph, seems I'm the "Duke of the Blarney Stone Pub" and I've only been here twice! If anyone really cared about this place, they would be checking regularly in on Yelp and maybe the service would improve, but likely not. I'm not kidding when I say I've been here twice, and both times were on a Thursday night, with a small group, and somehow the staff here can't even manage to keep small groups happy. I know the group I was out with can not only make a server's night on orders but make their night on tips. This has never been the case here. It got to be so bad, we timed the how long before the server asked if we needed a refill or anything, great timing if you're trying to avoid a DUI, terrible timing to keep your buzz on if you took an Uber. Other reviewers have pointed out that this is a bar with a clique, and they are not kidding, one of the members of our group said this is just like high school except they serve alcohol. You can take my word for it as it seems the management here is sold on keeping their core group of trivia night and karaoke customers happy, we moved the party to the bowling alley a few blocks north and were amazed at both the service and the potency of the drinks over the Blarney Stone! read more

Went here for dinner Thursday nite and had a blast. I've lived in oak forest for 12 years and never went here. I passed it while driving but the exterior is hohum. Thursday is bingo nite and DJ Matt played some really great tunes. Dinner was amazing. I had the steak on a stone. Yeah I know it sounds weird but they bring you raw meat and a hot stone. Add Julia (June 2018) as another reason to go to Blarney. She was wonderful as family celebrated father's day in one of my happiest go-to places. Pizza and other entries were very good (as usual) and beer was great. BBL aged Pumking plus supporting many local breweries! When (oops) received wrong beers, Julia handled it w/ grace and made things right quickly. Warm, gracious and quick to smile as she even effortlessly helped out my 2 grand-kids w/ a pop glass w/ a top and a straw. Great times made better as always w/ good food and drink and fun service. It was packed and hard to park-- someone had parked in a no parking zone forcing me to back down a row of the parking lot, leave the place, then come back around the other side, where i had to take on a large chunk of ice that made an awful sound under my car. Once inside, we barely found a spot to sit at the bar--- quite the packed place! They didn't pay us much attention at first, and then abruptly threw us one menu to share. It wasn't a great start. Once we were able to order, things went better. I had a steak wrap with seasoned fries. It was awesome! Finely cut up steak with a BBQ saw, lettuce and cheddar cheese. The wrap was majority steak! I was impressed. The fries were great! Not the cajun kind I was expected, but covered in herbs. A great surprise. We added a glass of Small Town Brewery Root Beer Cider- on tap! (A new, and rare find) It was delicious, but very sweet. The woman who helped us was a little abrupt- didn't let you finish your statement before she took off to take care of it, so when I asked for two waters, we only got one. I come here every year for the St. Baldrick's event. A few of my friends participate in the event, and this place puts on a great fundraiser for it. Beer selection is good. Service was just ok, but it was very crowded, not sure if they were appropriately staffed. I know it was a fundraiser and all, but kids should NOT be sitting at the bar, and they were. The place was pretty much standing room only for about an hour, and kids taking up bar stools, making it even harder to get a drink was not cool. The food is average, nothing special. This is a bar for people who come every day of the week to avoid their families. Everyone was drinking domestic except for me. I arrived and waited for 10 minutes for a bartender to take my drink order. I watched as she got new beers for at least 7 regulars before she even noticed me. She talked to a few regulars and asked why they weren't sitting "in their usual seat." The bartender feigned an apology and got my beer. I can't say what the dine-service is like but my experiences with take out orders has been horrendous. Each time the food & the accuracy of the order, declined into what I can only describe as HORRIBLE! Example: Ordered 2 of their $10.00 Burgers yesterday. After repeating the order twice and than having them clarify the order- they still managed to screw it up. The Burgers were a dried up, messy clumsy of meat that had no flavor and were NOT what I had specifically asked for! On top of that, I had asked for a side cup of Beer Cheese. Paid for it & never got it, after asking her twice to make sure it was in the bag because they have forgotten to give it to me in the past. If I could I'd give this a Zero rating but that is not an available option. Will not order from there again! read more
