Went on Ash Wednesday confident they'd have Lenten fare and was surprised to see how extensive the fish options were on even the regular menu. Food was excellent and fish well prepared! The difficulty with getting fish flavorful but not dried out was not in evidence here...we all ordered different fish dishes and all were perfect and arrived at same time. Food is great! Very good dishes! The fish and chips, the grown up grilled cheese, the special dinner salad, are all great! The thin cut Paddy's fries are excellent, with a nice crunch to them! Service was good, no complaints. The ambiance is not spectacular, but it is a bar, and it is fine. Had my sons 21st birthday here and my daughters HS graduation.the party room is perfect, there was even outdoor space for our party. The food was outstanding! We had fried chicken, mash potatoes/gravy, pasta salad all of it was excellent! Very responsibly priced too, but definitely order extra potatoes they go fast they were so good. Oh and get their homemade garlic dressing I now crave it! Can't wait to eat at the restaurant for dinner!! Will definitely eat there and have parties there again! Our friends Rutzky told us to try this place and it was good and it was good. We had I had fried chicken and fries and slaw. All of which was good wasn't great, but it was good and my bride had a salad which was good wasn't great, but it was good And waitress named Emily was terrific. Very helpful and sweet bathroom was clean. Restaurant was clean was decorated for Halloween. I'm gonna show you a picture of us sitting with skeletons and ragdoll's all in all. The blonde lady working the bar was very hostile. She ignored me and some other folks that came in. I was served later by a pleasant young lady. All I wanted was a beer, is that so difficult? Bartending can be a tough job but being a bartender that doesn't like her job can be harder on her and on your business. One disappointed or pissed off customer is bad advertising for your business. Word of mouth can do serious damage to sales and your reputation. read more

I like this place, has good service, a fun vibe and really great food. Everyone must have agreed because it was packed on Saturday night. They had a 17 yr old local man singing Elvis covers - he was incredible. Had the whole place smiling and singing. :-) Will definitely be back for the Impossible patty melt - so sooooo good!! This place is my go to bar for whenever I want to keep it local. It's family owned (which I'd rather support) and ran by some pretty great people. The service is great and the food is always delicious. Hot and fresh. Specials all the time. I've been going there for over 8 years because it's a place where i've always felt welcome. This review is only for the food. Paddy B's is a great neighborhood spot to drink, but in our experience the take-out food we got was definitely "meh". This was a little disappointing because we have actually had great food eating inside the restaurant, I'm not sure what went wrong. We live very close to Paddy B's new-ish strip mall location and decided to order some take out on a Friday night. We placed an order and were told it would take about 45 minutes before it was ready. Huh? I guess if they were swamped with people I can understand but we all ordered pretty regular fare like chicken wraps, a chicken dinner and a burger. By the time we got the food back to our house, everyone's stuff was either lukewarm or cold, but it also seemed like it might have been sitting for a while. This made the 45 minute wait even more unpleasant. Everyone's order was correct, but there wasn't really anything great about the food itself. I had a chicken wrap and it was very poorly put together, lots of wasted space inside the tortilla and overall kind of mushy/soggy. My Mom agreed that her fried chicken dinner was just alright, too. The only one who seemed to really like what they had was my brother, who got a burger. Though, me and him both agreed the fries were awful, like 90% sure they came out of a frozen Ore-Ida bag. This was hard to write, because we actually have had good food inside Paddy B's and I like it as a bar. My mother particularly remembers an excellent Reuben and myself a tasty corned beef sandwich. We will likely stick to the items we've had before; the chicken-based stuff didn't quite cut it. read more

I've been here on two occasions. The first time was okay. I ordered a patty melt and it was pretty good. My wife ordered the chicken tenders. We weren't as fond of the tenders as they didn't seem well seasoned. Overall, the food wasn't our main concern with the restaurant. It was actually the service. The server we had was not very friendly and we did not feel very welcome. We left the restaurant a little disappointed. Despite that incident, we decided to give Paddy B's a second chance a few weeks later. We came in and sat in a high top table right by the bar in the middle of the restaurant. We waited..and waited..and waited for a server to come to take our orders. Meanwhile, servers and employees are watching tv behind the bar or socializing with other employees and customers. After 20 minutes, a server finally came to our table. When we were served, a green sheet of paper and utensils were placed on the table. So it should be pretty easy to recognize when customers haven't been taken care of. There was no apology or acknowledgement of this issue, which is a little alarming. Either the server thought that this was appropriate service and saw no reason to apologize or the servers and employees have little awareness regarding newly arriving customers. A potential solution to this could be having a host or hostess seat customers. Regardless of the long wait, we were still polite and attempted to be friendly with the server. Like our first trip to Paddy B's, we once again did not feel very welcome. Maybe it's just us, maybe not. We definitely do not receive the same treatment at other local restaurants and bars. We really wanted to like this establishment. With us living so close, we were hoping it would a place we could regularly visit. Unfortunately, that will not be the case. Overall, the food is okay and very reasonably priced, but the service and atmosphere are definitely lacking. read more

Shannon is top-notch and provides witty one-liners and always has a nice word to say about everyone. Matty is a kind soul who always remembers what you're drinking. So what I love about my favorite family owned and operated restaurant the most is, even during a pandemic, and me working in healthcare, they are strict to enforce the IDPH and CDC Guidelines looking out for us all including everyone in their community. They have been a long-time favorite of mine before covid. They have a delicious prime rib with homemade horseradish sauce, and my favorite buffalo chicken sandwich or salad with home made blue cheese dressing! I am comfortable enough bringing my daughter here to eat. She loves there grilled cheese or chicken tenders! They make the best kitty cocktails for my eight-year-old, and auntieShan-Shan might give you a very strong Jack and Coke ;-) Anyway I will continue to buy food to go and eat at this place for years to come. Had the best pub burger of my life, cooked to perfection. The meat was grade A quality, with a buttery, toasted bun and some of the best golden crisp french fries.. Not greasy at all. The quality here ranks up there with more Artisan eateries located in the hipster city neighborhoods. Best part of all the special for the pub Burger was half price! There is no way you can match the quality and value of the dining experience at Paddy B's Pub. As the sign says, good food... Just make sure you arrive when the kitchen is open. read more

Tonight he built a beer box wall. It was inappropriate to the point that a man met me outside and said I didn't deserve it. Had a lovely lunch with friends today at PaddyB's. They have a great outdoor dining area that was cool and comfortable, even on a hot day. The service was great and the food was delicious. I was surprised how varied the menu was. There were lots of options. It was also clear the safety of their customers was a priority. There was plenty of room to social distance. Everything was obviously clean and sanitized and they even had a cool, no contact menu. You just wave your smartphone over the barcode on the table and it downloads the menu. If you are looking for a safe , fun place to meet up with friends and enjoy good food in a nice outdoor atmosphere , I would highly recommend PaddyB's. read more

As a local, I do my best to continue to support all small and family owned businesses during this pandemic. I was appalled by the behavior of the owners son who sat at the bar and talked politics to us the entire time we were there. He offended us, cut us off and raised his voice. As a patron, assuming I am respectful, my political view should not matter when entering and supporting an establishment. If you would like to enjoy your meal or beverage in peace and not be berated by employees/owners, I suggest checking out many of the near by establishments, instead. read more

We love Paddy Bs!!! This is like our neighborhood pub. You know the servers by their first names, wave at the bartender, and share drinks and your day with the patrons. The owner comes over to make sure all is ok every time we are there. We eat here frequently because the food is good, reasonably priced and you are not rushed out the door!!! They recently expanded adding more seats in the bar area. TVs carry the local sports games and there is a jukebox when Chicago teams are dark!! We celebrated St Patrick Day there tonight with a delicious corned beef and cabbage dinner! A Jameson and 7 smoothed things out and all were happy. Thank you Paddy Bs. You rock!!!! read more

What a dump. This place is not a dive; dives are fun. My friends and I started going here because it's in walking distance (so we wouldn't have to drive), and we also heard that the beers were cheap ($2 bottles every day). This was true. We enjoyed that. We never caused a ruckus or any trouble and tipped the trashy bartender well. In fact, she even gave us free shots on the first time came in there. It was as if she realized that we were new to the bar and she was trying to get us to want to come back, and it worked. Except, that when we'd come back, she was rude. She ignored us. She had an attitude. In fact, after a few more times at Paddy's we started getting charged $3.75 per beer! I'm not sure if that was the price for everyone, but I get the feeling she just started charging us that - and not the regulars. I confronted the female bartender about the price bump from $2, and she said they raised the prices to $2.75. Sorry lady, but my math is correct and you were charging $3.75 a bottle. Why in my right mind would I ever return to this godforsaken place that costs me nearly $5 (with tip) a bottle when I can go to Sandburg Maguire's or elsewhere for a cheaper beer and a better time? The regulars are 98% trash. On more than one occasion I've seen them throwing up, falling on their faces/heads, and then getting into their cars. (Good job bartenders.) There is a cool guy who bar backs there but that does not a great bar make. read more

Came here for thr first time last week. The owners are the same family that owned the restaurant of same name in old downtown Orland Park for many years until it was sold, remodeled and renamed. This new place is located in a strip mall. I came here for lunch last week with a few friends. It was prteey busy which speaks to good food and prices. We sat at the bar. which is L shaped. The dcor is very much your trypical neighborhood bar and the clientel seemd like many regulars. The service here is excellent and the place is clean. The prices are good. As for the food it was very good. I had the corned beef. It was very lean and tasty. My only complaint is that if your are going to state on the menu that it is piled high then please live up to that. It was not piled high by any stretch of the imagimation. My friends had the Rueben and the patty melt which they raved about. The crinkle cut fries were crisp and hot. So if you are out and about and are looking for a place like this then you will likely not go wrong here. I will be back. read more

I've lived in Lockport for over 25 years, and tonight was my first time going to Paddy B's! The food was unbelievable! Fish and Chips were terrific and the Paddy B chips were awesome! My wife had shrimp and they were delicious! The staff were friendly and the food was great! We loved our visit and can't wait to come back !! read more

This is a nice small bar but the majority of the clientel is 60 and over. If you don't mind a curmudgeony mothball smelling old lady in a fur coat sitting next to you complaining about her children who never visit her then this is the place for you! read more
