Was last in here when it was Northwoods. They modified it and it looks good. Salads I saw were big. Rest of menu has enough to find something decent. I had a burger and it was decent. Places like this with many options never have great quality, just.....decent. As expected and I don't have plans to return unless my buddies were there watching a game on their many tv's. read more

2 buffalo chicken sandwiches ordered Togo at lunch time yesterday and they were waaaaay over fried, like they left them floating in the fryer for an hour! Not much has changed in 5 years. They have a new variety of menu items. Hubby's burger was bland and smothered with bbq. The Cajun chicken was good. This place is pretty loud. Makes it almost impossible to talk to the people you're with. I ordered the salmon and it was overcooked despite my request for it not to be overcooked. My husband ordered a burger well done, when he received his burger it was very rare. When we flagged down the waitress to tell her, she said, oh, that is really red. She took his plate and said I will have another made. We waited another 15 minutes. My husband's cheeseburger comes back and he said this is the same burger. Sure was, they scraped the cheese off and recooked his burger that was missing g a bite. I asked to see the manager. The manager came and we explained what happened. My husband said this is the same burger. She said yes, our policy is to put it back on the grill. We said there was a bite missing! What about the germs and the other customers who were ordering food. The manager said the grill and heat would kills any germs. I said that is disgusting! She said they would make a new one for him we said no thank you. it was a horrible experience. we were seated after 5 minutes and didn't see a waitress for 20 minutes. We were there almost two hours and lost our appetite after the fiasco. I can't believe that a restaurant could recook a burger that was bitten into and reserve. DISGUSTING! read more

I've been taking a client to lunch at Jameson's for years now, and the consistency and quality have warranted a few evening visits with my friends and family as well. It's the kind of establishment that you might take for granted, because they aren't breaking any new ground here, or serving up anything in particular that you can't order at any other sports bar in the country. I will say though that Jameson's has all of things necessary to give the average consumer a good dining experience, and they routinely hit all the marks. The service is always good. The atmosphere is lively and there are plenty of TV's for sports consumption, and the food is a step-up from your average bar food. Over the years I've tried many of the appetizers, salads and sandwiches, and I can tell you that it's all been really good. Now, I can't speak about any of their entrees, so maybe I'll have to do that on my next visit. read more

The food, service and atmosphere were great but it was all ruined because they allow patrons to smoke cigarettes, even providing them with ash trays. Excellent food and service at Jamesons Pub. They were on a wait when we arrived and we said first available and we waited about 15-20 minutes. They sat us in the bar and it was super loud and we couldn't even hear each other talk. Next time we will not sit in bar area. French onion soup is really good and came out fast. Dinner was served super fast. The potato skins were really good and hub got the shrimp dinner. My daughter received a scoop of ice cream with sprinkles for dessert and was very happy! read more

No. We left and went to 3 Corners in NL, which never disappoints. My god this place is horrendous. Horrible customer service from the start to finish. I walked in the door and was rudely treated with a "can I help you" from the host. I didn't even need her help as I was just going to have a seat at the bar. Bartender was nice but food was somehow over cooked and cold at the same time. Not sure how that happens but it did. I also thought I overheard the staff talking about a rat running through the kitchen cause their dumpster was over flowing but I could have misheard. On the way out said by to the new host and she just rolled her eyes. Not sure how they stay employed considering the host stand is the face of the restaurant and starts the experience and ends it with greeting and farewells. Bad food and hosts seem to want this place to close with the lack of charm at the door. I highly recommend you spend your money elsewhere. This is a cool casual place to drop into if you're around the Frankfort area. It's a sports bar and has a pretty large space. Good place to watch a sports game, catchup with friends and get some solid bar food. Large menu with gluten free options. There are tons of TVs to watch sports, they have a long bar, high tops, low tables, and booths. Tried the Buffalo wings, mozzarella sticks, bbq chicken sandwich and would get them all again. 1/11/24 - I was here for lunch and the steak in the street tacos was rotten....the smell was so bad I didn't even take a bite - another at the table did and spit the meat out because it was definitely "off". No one from the restaurant seemed to investigate with necessary concern for the customer's safety -somehow my plate never made it to a manager. It makes me sad to write this review because I used to love this place. Since I've last been (granted it's been maybe 2 years) the food quality has really decreased. I used to RAVE about the soft pretzel, and now it's not only more expensive, but not as good. Today it was rock hard! I also ordered the beef nachos - chips were a stale texture and overall was pretty flavorless. Someone I was with got the BBQ burger that had one measly onion ring on top, but he did say it was really good still. The other thing I think is annoying is that if you try to order online, EACH ITEM is 2-3 dollars more than the menu price! What? Also, there is a 3% charge if you use a card to pay? If I've said it once, I've said it a hundred times, pubs often times have some of the best food around. I tried the salmon and was not disappointed. The fish was moist and flaky, just the way it's supposed to be. The grilled veggies were soft on the inside and still retained a crunch on the outside. The side of spinach was the perfect pairing. Went with a group of 10-me, parents, brother and his family. Waitress spilled an entire iced tea down my front and into my lap. Food was better a few years ago. Think they're cutting corners to recoup Covid losses. Food was not good...dried out bagged salad, thin gray steak sandwich, etc. Probably fine for a beer, but that's about it. Decided to try this place on a whim as it had a cool cabin exterior and seemed to have a decent menu. However I got inside and it had a hooters meets Twin Peaks vibe with the young female servers in tight tiny outfits which seemed kinda unnecessary. They didn't seem happy and the front staff looked bored and annoyed. It was super loud with 90s music blaring and Fox News on (no thanks). The food was ok but when the check came I noticed the bill mentioned they charge customers an extra 3% if you use a debit or credit card. So after the cost of the meal, tax, tip and the extra 3% charge we spent over $57 for two of us. I notice that restaurants and retail stores in Will County always love to say they're less expensive than Cook County-- but I'm starting to think that's a lot of bs. In fact some places there are actually more costly. IMO the major difference is that generally speaking in Cook County you get more for your money and better service. The attitude in the Frankfort area is obnoxious. Lots of white privilege here, lol. Unfortunately I have to say I won't be returning to Jameson's. read more
