If I've said it once, I've said it a hundred times, pubs often times have some of the best food around. I tried the salmon and was not disappointed. The fish was moist and flaky, just the way it's supposed to be. The grilled veggies were soft on the inside and still retained a crunch on the outside. The side of spinach was the perfect pairing. Highly recommended. Our server was really wonderful, smiling and happy the entire time. Give this place a try. read more

Decided to try this place on a whim as it had a cool cabin exterior and seemed to have a decent menu. However I got inside and it had a hooters meets Twin Peaks vibe with the young female servers in tight tiny outfits which seemed kinda unnecessary. They didn't seem happy and the front staff looked bored and annoyed. It was super loud with 90s music blaring and Fox News on (no thanks). The food was ok but when the check came I noticed the bill mentioned they charge customers an extra 3% if you use a debit or credit card. So after the cost of the meal, tax, tip and the extra 3% charge we spent over $57 for two of us. I notice that restaurants and retail stores in Will County always love to say they're less expensive than Cook County-- but I'm starting to think that's a lot of bs. In fact some places there are actually more costly. IMO the major difference is that generally speaking in Cook County you get more for your money and better service. The attitude in the Frankfort area is obnoxious. Lots of white privilege here, lol. Unfortunately I have to say I won't be returning to Jameson's. read more

Went with a group of 10-me, parents, brother and his family. Waitress spilled an entire iced tea down my front and into my lap. Food was better a few years ago. Think they're cutting corners to recoup Covid losses. Food was not good...dried out bagged salad, thin gray steak sandwich, etc. Probably fine for a beer, but that's about it. I read a lot of the reviews so here is my experience, Jameson's is a popular place you may to wait sometimes to get a table, the hostess says 30mins it's more 15 mins if she says 1 hour it's like 30mins, reviews talk about the waitresses outfits, I guess if you don't like what they wear then don't come? Nothing wrong with the outfits in my opinion! A lot of drink options to choose from, I get craft beer and they have a whole list of them! The specials are good for food and drinks! Wings, burgers, apps, pasta, sandwiches can't go wrong with any food items! I read negative reviews of the manager George, he is like the nicest guy in the world! Sunday my daughter my son-in-law my wife my grandchildren we all went to Jamison's for dinner I had perch with vegetables and it was terrific my wife had A Caesar salad in the sauce that she said was great everybody had some thing else and everybody enjoyed their food and my daughter ordered those Mexican chips for the table and they came with guacamole and hot sauce this place makes all its own salad dressings and the dinner salad I had with the thousand islands that they make was wonderful this place is great I give it an easy five star read more

We've been coming in here for years- this place is a Frankfort institution. It's a pretty basic, yet expansive menu. The service is actually pretty freaking fantastic... never had a bad meal or a bad waitress or bartender here (ever, literally) The menu is expansive, typical "American" food... it's always really good and the prices are reasonable. Bar is usually packed on weekend nights but you can usually get a table without a reservation. Overall a really good place- it's been one of our "go-to's" for years, and we'll continue to come in. Three and four deep at the bar, tables of mire than 8 people, patrons roaming through the place with no masks. Blatant and total disregard of Covid-19. We had to leave. Made me uncomfortable and I had the virus in the last 60 days. If you want covid19 go here. This is exactly why restaurants and bars get the tag as a place to spread the virus. Jameson's appears to only be concerned about their well being and nothing else. This place risks infecting hundreds of people. Casual lodge looking bar with a variety of choices for both food and drinks. We've been here a few times now and have usually been able to walk in and grab a bar table fairly easily. Our group ordered a mix of dishes and all seemed impressed with the taste, presentation and freshness. Salads are huge and can feed two people. Recommend getting the Patty Melt and the tater tots came out crispy and hot! Only drawback we experienced was the service. It was super slow. Our waitress, Laura/Lauren, ordered our beers and then it took her bout 20 minutes to come back and order our actual meal. We requested a few minor changes when we ordered our entrees (multigrain bread instead of the rye, swap our grilled chicken with fried tenders) but the meals came out wrong. Came here during the beginning of Omecron virus and not even one person in the whole place had a mask on - not even wait staff or bartenders. So if you come in wearing a mask, you will stand out like a dork! Food was good and had no complaints on cooking from either of us. The only thing that ticked me off being an Irish named place is the only Irish whiskey they had was guess what? Jameson of course! Dought they even had Jameson Black Barrell. Had all the other popular ones like Makers Mark and Knob Creek etc., but an Irish bar should have at least five different Irish whiskies to choose from!
