The Loft has entirely been renovated since I was last here. The inside is gorgeous with a large bar, tons of seating, bowling alley in the back, and rustic/mid-century design features. My friend and I visited for Saturday lunch and it wasn't crowded. We were able to sit where we wanted which was nice. For drinks, I got a French Martini and she got a Dirty Martini. Both were delicious and served in beautiful glasses. We later shared an espresso martini. The server asked if we wanted cream in it; get the cream. We definitely second guessed ourselves with being asked; but thankfully, it was easy to add in after the fact. For food, we shared some bites. The Caesar Salad was the most underwhelming items but we thoroughly enjoyed everything else. The Crispy Brussel Sprouts and Truffle Fries were my favorites. The boneless wings were good but we got sauces on the side. My Garlic Parm sauce wasn't my favorite but my friend enjoyed her Spicy Garlic sauce. Overall, this is a great spot in Downtown Frankfort to get together with a big group, enjoy a date night, or catch up with friends. They have a good variety of good and drinks as well as a fun atmosphere. Definitely recommend visiting when in the area! read more

Ugh the coolest and cutest place!!! I am obsessed with the ambiance and the drinks. They only have 6 lanes fyi. They really need to put a sign on the building by the stairwell or on the stairs because it's confusing looking for it. It seems like we're walking to the roof or someone's apartment and doesn't feel like a public business. We tried going before to check it out but it was st Patrick weekend and it looked like party or bar crawl and packed. We came back this past weekend and it was better but did look like one party was wrapping up on bar side but it was all adults with a couple kids of theirs laying on the couches. I would say this place is best for adults only honestly. As a mom I won't bring my daughter here and we can go bowling elsewhere but for myself I will 100% be back. I love that everything is themed and some original things inside but the water damage, rust, and mold is badddddd. Can't put lipstick on a pig and with people having health issues this is a big no no for people with mold illness or autoimmune diseases. The lanes are looking original and I don't think I've ever seen the ball returns like that so it was cool and vintage but dangerous lol. The balls come back SO fast and they were flying off the rack. Not really safe. The lanes were warped and uneven and didn't seem waxed so I sucked at bowling no matter what I tried. It was $45 an hour plus shoe rental was maybe $3 each? We got cocktails and apps. There could be more appetizers on the list but the dip was okay and my margaritas were great. We got two games and like 4 frames in an hour with two adults. We were really just trying to relax and have fun so the bowling and prices were expected and just whatever that day. I don't ever treat myself or drink much anymore and gladly was spending it on those. Not really a fan of how awkward the combined lanes are and the people who were there first had us basically walk into their date with all of their food on the table for us to sit over because it was so small and somehow supposed to share tables. They picked all their food and drinks up and moved them and stood to eat to give space between us. Literally all the lanes were open and they put us with them at the end together. Odd. The workers were all nice but there was a lot of workers and no one was really working? A bunch of them were talking in the chairs behind the lanes and the bartenders were talking to each other. Our waitress said her shift was ending/ wanting us to close our tab out as soon as our game ended and we said that's fine we can go up to the bar and keep chatting/ drinking. But she never left so we thought maybe they wanted our lane even though all the others except one were open but no one took our lane after.. The bartenders were talking to each other a lot and lacked eyes on the bar. The bar back seemed super young and out of it and didn't ask if we needed something or wanted to grab the bartenders even though he could hear us and we were staring at him and the bartenders. Whatever still enjoyed our time and the bartender came and brought me another drink. The 2nd drink she repeated it and then brought me a 3rd drink that was completely different but it was still good lol. The bathrooms are cute and clean. The dining side is probably better than the bowling side. The bar is cool. Overall liked it but seems like kids are running the place and could use some tweaks. 10/10 read more

Unique venue! We drove around the block looking for the place and it was not very visable. The staircase looks very uninviting, but don't let it stop you. When you finally get here, it is beautiful!! It is unique!! The beer is good!! It is fun!! Go there, find it, enjoy!!! read more

Cool place, you take the stairs on from outside so I just don't think it's elevator friendly but not sure on this, inside is a restaurant portion and the other side has a few lanes for bowling. Bowling is reasonable priced hourly and the food and cocktails were also great right to our seating areas. Perfect spot to just hang out and mingle as we celebrated my BIL birthday. read more

The good: The French Roast Martini was amazing! The atmosphere is fun. The bad: It was not the easiest place to find. There was not anything on the building, and the sign was at the bottom of a long flight of steps that have seen better days. Had I not looked back over my shoulder would have missed it. This was our first visit - and will be the last. The place looks nice enough, and while the appetizer was fine and the bar service attentive the deal breaker was when the barback decided to put on Fox News. And for me if a business is showing Fox News that tells me all I need to know about the ownership, and we won't be back. Sure, the sound was off - but this was on the day when the US bombed Iran and we were kind of hoping to just go out and have a drink or two without having grim world issues right in our face as we sat at the bar. Especially from a divisive media outlet that kisses the MAGA ring. read more

Grab yourself a nice drink and get comfy, because I've got something to say. Word of mouth from strangers brought us to this lovely place. I've been going to downtown Frankfort for quite some time and there are plenty of g places to visit. Today was the first time we went to the Loft and we were impressed. you have to climb up a flight of stairs to get to the restaurant unless you care to dine on the patio. I recommend taking the effort to climb the stairs. The dining area is generous with high tops, lovely tables and cozy leather couches. The food is very good. we had the bruschetta as an appetizer and for my entree I had the bacon jam burger. The staff were very attentive and professional, however they seemed to be a bit distracted and not particularly interested in the guests On a personal level which I understand is a rare quality, however I value it highly. Stop in and have a good time,I highly recommend it and plan on returning. read more

I'm a pizza guru. I tried this place thinking that it would be a good pizza warning if you want to eat the cardboard box that it comes in it would probably taste better than the pizza crust taste like paper cardboard. I don't recommend sorry the loft stick to your burgers you can't go wrong with ground beef read more

We have been here several times. The food is good and the place is gorgeous. However, the service is bad. There were 7 of us. Got our meal and still hadn't got our place settings. Had to ask for everything. Also had to send a burger back because it was way undercooked. Waitstaff did not seem interested in taking care of us. Not a good look when there are several other restaurants in downtown Frankfort. read more

Ambiance is amazing. The Loft is beautiful and cozy. Staff is very attentive. Thin crust pizza had a nice crisp crust. A few in our party had burgers and chicken sandwiches, and they looked delicious. Will have to come back to try those. Everyone said their food was delicious. I had a salad and the balsamic dressing is awesome. I devoured my salad. Will be back for fun and the food! Great spot for date, group gathering, hang out, or dinner. read more

Went tonight and the service was very slow (not the server's fault, she was handling the whole place and running everywhere) and the food was also very slow to come out. Maybe 45 minutes from order till it hit the table. Burgers were good. My wife's chicken wrap had very dry chicken. The space is very nice. I bowled here as a kid and I'm glad it's still around. Food, drinks, and service were good. Had a problem with the bill. Our party ordered 4 glasses of prisoner cabernet, clearly listed on the menu at $12.00 per glass. I looked at the bottom line of the bill and it seemed more than we anticipated. We looked line by line and the charge for those $12 glasses of wine was $20 per glass. I mentioned it to the waitress and she made it seem that somehow I confused one wine for another and ordered the more expensive wine. They credited the bill for $32 but the corrected bill was delivered with a bit of an attitude. I looked at the menu again on the way out and there is not a $20 glass of wine to be be found. I tried to call, three times, the call went to voice mail every time. I left a message to get a call back and received no call. I sent an e-mail and got no response. I was hoping to speak to someone from the Loft regarding my concern but all my efforts have been met with silence. Doesn't seem like it's a concern for them so I will be dining elsewhere in the future. read more

Service was awful. We paid $45/hr for a lane and server came once to see if we needed drinks or food. Servers seemed more interested in the regulars in the main bar. Super disappointing because the place looks great. No point in a great looking place if you don't have good staff. read more
