Came here a couple of weeks ago for lunch. Had dine in since you can't get the wing flight to go. We ordered a couple of chicken sandwiches and I decided to try the chicken strip plate. I started off with little insanity the hottest. I was only able to eat half a strip. The next day I tried crazy their second hottest Ken was also only able to eat half a strip. Food is so good here. I always get the tenders meal that comes with fries and coleslaw. 3 tenders come with the order and they are pretty large and get you full. The cook and flavor on the tenders is pretty darn good. The tenders are juicy and hot. The fries are a good companion and even the slaw has great flavor and isn't drowned. A perfect meal IMO. Been going to Fry the Coop for quite some time and they always deliver. Online ordered the 3 piece tenders with fries and coop sauce. It was ready in 10 minutes. Walked in straight to the pickup counter and had no problems whatsoever. Tenders had the perfect amount of flavor and the fries were still crispy when I got home. Got the spicy honey sandwich. The sandwich don't come with pickles very disappointing thought all sandwiches had pickles. Other then that the sandwich was pretty good got the medium spice level not spicy in my opinion. The fries were not good at all! Very salty on the regular fries. Why do I even try anymore? Chicken & Cheese sandwich is up to $13, and is smaller and drier than ever. One end of my chicken breast was only about 1/4 inch thick, the other end was about 3/4 inch. Chicken was totally dried out but drenched with some kind of sloppy gross sauce I didnt ask for, that was like catsup and mayo mixed. To me, this place is a proven joke, but judge for yourselves if you get your moneys worth. And enjoy all the ambulance sirens skreeching by every 5 minutes while you're trying to relax and have some lunch. No wonder they had more employees than customers. read more

Food was okay. Customer Service was not. There was confusion with my order and rather than trying to resolve it the girls rolled their eyes and turned their backs and ignored me. I called the manager and he said he witnessed it and had a talk with them that this was not handled correctly but he failed to jump in a resolve the issue as well. He let me leave very unhappy. Pre-pandemic, Fry the Coop was a favorite local-ish place to go when nursing a hankering for hot chicken. I hadn't been to this location but when I was down on the south side anyway I thought this would be a nice treat since I haven't been there in over three years, since before the pandemic began. It's still good but there have been some changes. Prices have increased, of course. That's an overall given. But surprisingly, there are no sides included with your meal. I suppose this shouldn't really be a surprise since most fast-food type places don't include a side with your meal, but FtC did used to include fries with your chicken, I'm pretty sure. On the other hand, if you go to other fast food places it's cheaper. So with the cost of the chicken PLUS the cost of any side (fries were $4!), it gets a bit steep pretty quickly. But luckily it's still really good. They have six heat levels here, and from past experience I know that the third level is plenty for me. It's spicy and can leave your lips tingling, but also you can taste a bit of sweetness too. Fries are good; they may be homemade? This location has outdoor seating as well for those warmer months. There's also a small parking lot which maybe could get hard to park when it's busier, since there are other businesses here as well, but it's possible you could park on the side street along here too. read more

Food was great. Visited this evening August 6, 2025. Service of 1 worker HORRIBLE. During my visit, I witnessed a food worker handling cash while wearing gloves and then proceeding to handle food without changing those gloves. After I brought this to the attention of another employee, he appeared to inform the worker involved. However, despite being made aware of the issue, she continued handling food with the same gloves on. This evening I stopped in for the first time to try out the Hot Tennessee chicken sandwich I've been stalking for quite a few months... Can you say... Damn it was good!? Customer service was okay, the only disappointment was that I felt the seasoned fries plus the very seasoned sandwich was too much. I think next time I'll just get regular fries. They are kinda pricey, I ordered two meals and payed about $36... I probably won't bring my kids here lol just come by myself but I definitely enjoyed the food.
