Breakfast deliciousness. We very much so enjoyed our breakfast. It was a 20 min wait to get seated. I order the eggs Benedict and my husband had the pancake plate that came with an egg and sausage and bacon. All in all everything was good. Unfortunately they don't offer a chicken fried steak and if you come on a Sunday morning be prepared to wait to be seated and wait to get your food. For food we waited 30 min. I absolutely loved Oak Table. It was a total small town treat with wonderfully friendly service and really delicious food. We got one of the apple pancakes to share as a table and they really do live up to the recommendations. Our waitress also mentioned that it saves well and wow, were we happy we saved some for the next morning. My only improvement would be on my eggs benedict, there was a bit too much hollandaise sauce (if I had known the regular was that much I just would have asked for it on the side). We ordered 3 veggie omelets and the eggs Benedict. Total came up to 60.00. My son loved the eggs Benedict. The veggie omelets were watery and perhaps it's because of all the vegetables? We didnt want the pancakes that usually come with the omelets however our waiter offered substitutions- Totally awesome of him. The workers seem very kind and accomodating. I've tried to come here several times finally made it in and am not disappointed. BLT was amazing, thick bread, perfect amount of mayo and perfect amount of bacon Peach waffle was thin and crispy with nice peaches with a bit of crunch still. I have mixed emotions about this restaurant. This place is real cute and gives a cozy feel. I ordered the French toast and was very pleased with it. The bacon is delicious! Best bacon I've had. My husband and sister ordered and omelette and were disappointed with the sauce they put on top, it didn't mention that in the menu. We were visiting relatives in Port Angeles and heard about my favorite pancakes..buckwheat. We arrived early as were told the lines were long and the food was out of this world. What a pleasant surprise.... we just moved here a week ago and were invited to breakfast with family. We were greeted by a very nice smiley hostess that seated us while we waited for family. The restaurant is beautiful and had a lot of window that let in natural light. We got our menus and coffee. I thought the prices were kinda steep, however when we got our food, it was well worth the price. I had the mushroom omelette and it was amazing. The creamy sauce over the eggs had so much flavor. And the eggs were beyond fluffy. Hubby had French toast and scrambled egg. Again both French toast and eggs were so fresh and fluffy. Bacon was huge. I joked it was half a pig... not real fatty and delicious. Again, spendy but so worth it... the waitress was very attentive and kept checking on us. Definitely will go again read more

We were on a mini vacation here In Sequim. The Oak table was recommend by a friend. We ate here 2 days in a row. Everything we ordered was phenomenal. The service was some of the best we have had in a long time. Staff were friendly,and outgoing. John - also doubled as a tour guide and gave us some great sights to see. Came here after a morning of fishing Neah Bay. Walked in during prime breakfast hours with clothing smelling like fish and caked in fish slime. This place has a big lot but fills up quick during the weekend breakfast hours. We had to park along neighborhood streets. Interior reminded me a Grandma's home. China, paintings, and old collectibles the senior community absolutely adores! We were seated fairly quick. We felt a bit out of place but we are there for the food and the ambiance! It took forever to find out who our waiter/waitress once but we did get our coffee topped off 4 times before our waiter came 20 minutes later. I ordered the Gourmet Gobbler which was decent but really your typical deli sandwich. Staff all friendly so no qualms with that. I'm going to leave 4 out of 5 stars because its a cute place for breakfast/brunch if your visiting this little town. My dish was okay and service did take a while. This is a place that makes me want to drop all my other reviews a star just to prove how phenomenal this experience was. Oak Table Cafe is an absolutely adorable restaurant with extremely hospitable staff. As someone with strong celiacs and a potato allergy, I needed gluten free and potato free food. They were more than happy to accommodate!! Tony cooked me up gluten free French toast with a fresh lemon and blueberry topping, then added on some freshly picked raspberries because I had been eyeing them on someone else's plate! Then, because I couldn't have other sides, they were kind enough to bring me out an entire berries and cream plate! Oh, and the coffee was spectacular. As a solid caffeine addict, I greatly appreciated that my coffee cup was constantly being refilled with fresh hot coffee. Come hungry and expect an outstanding meal with great service. I would HIGHLY recommend this place. Btw - They have gluten free bread and potato pancakes for other gluten free persons. For vegans or vegetarians, they separate their grills. :) read more

The Oak Table is a great choice for breakfast in Sequim! We came for Mother's Day brunch and there was a 25 minute wait. We expected longer. The restaurant is very country homey feeling. The menu is extensive and very carb heavy. Lots of pancakes, crepes, and bready items. They are known for their apple pancake which I'd like to try sometime. I had the ham and cheese omelette and substituted the 3 buttermilk pancakes that come alongside for fruit. The fruit was very tasty and fresh so I am glad I did the substitute. My Mom had the buttermilk pancakes and I had a bite and they were delicious. My Dad had the fried potatoes as his side and they were very good, as well. The omelette was huge! I could only eat 1/3 of it along with my fruit. Coffee was good- a bit spendy at $2.75 for drip. A couple things: The server never told us the specials which we noticed after we had ordered. I think the server should tell you what the specials are. The server also didn't tell us that they only serve breakfast on Sundays. She told us when she was taking our orders so my parents had to choose something else. The prices are a bit on the high side. The breakfast items are all in the $13.50 range and while they come with a side and the portions are large I think this is a bit much. After tax and tip it was $60 for breakfast which is a lot, I think. There is a dangerous step that I saw 2 people trip over even though it had yellow warning tape on it. It is still not safe. I would definitely return to the Oak Table when in the area. The food was very good and it's a cozy place. I do think the prices are a tad high but this must work out just fine considering how busy they are! read more

My mom, who now lives in Sequim, introduced me to The Oak Table Cafe back in September. I instantly knew this would be a place we must visit whenever I am in the area. This proved true last Sunday when my mom and I stopped in for brunch. I love the atmosphere. We are always seated quickly. Our coffee was frequently topped off. ALL of the staff is pleasant and sweet. And most importantly, their food is freakin' fantastic! I'm totally a sucker for the blintzes... so good. I've also tried the quiche... also amazing. I can't believe people are complaining about a small town breakfast being largely portioned and fatty. I thought that was the point of dining out at a mom & pop restaurant? If big portions are the ONLY thing to complain about, then cut your meal in half and enjoy it ;) Luckily enough for us, there were no hotels in Forks or Port Angeles, so we got "stuck' in Sequim (pronounced Skwim). What a beautiful charming little town this is. We had the option of a continental breakfast, but wanted something more filing. What better choice than this family owned restaurant? My boyfriend challenged me to try something new, but i couldn't pass up a $12 bacon-eggs-pancakes-and-drink-meal. Next time, we will intentionally stop here. read more

Once again, I do wish Yelp had "half stars" or a "10 star system" - our experience here was just mediocre. We came on a Friday afternoon, after the lunch rush - it was pretty empty inside. We were promptly seated in the large open room, then promptly forgotten. The rest of our visit was the "try to make eye contact" sort of thing to get some attention. I ordered the Greek Pita ($12.50) and Anne the special of the day - Smoked Salmon eggs Benedict ($14.50). But it took almost 10 minutes to put the order in. We simply didn't have a server, despite it not being crowded. Finally flagged one down, and he was anything but friendly. Seemed more like a fast food order taker than a friendly small town waiter. Not rude in any way mind you - just disinterested and cool, seldom visiting our table the rest of the meal. The Pita was fine - nothing to rave about. I left half of it behind. But the $14.50 eggs Benedict was a mess. We were expecting an actual piece of salmon - instead it was just salmon crumbles on an English muffin. Good thing we ordered the sauce on the side - there was probably 1/2 cup or more - seeing the same special go by we could see the plates just smothered in Hollandaise sauce. But the worst part was the plate was covered in a pound of greasy fried sliced potatoes. They were revolting and left 99% of them behind. At this point it was probably a 3 star event - but the kicker was the service. It was almost non-existent. Maybe it's a "locals preferred - out of town please take a number"? Not sure. At the end, Anne's coffee cup had been empty 10 minutes and here's our waiter, 5 feet away and in "eye contact possible" range - holding a coffee pot in his hand - yakking about soccer for over 5 minutes with a local family at the adjacent table. Never once thought to actually pour some coffee, and then finish his conversation with friends. Instead, I just finally caught his eye with my credit card - oh, now THAT caught his attention!! Tip time!! Not sure why the crazy high ratings here - overpriced lackluster food and indifferent service. Certainly wasn't due to massive crowds - there were very few people there. Maybe if I'd ordered their $5.95 side of self-proclaimed amazing bacon and a pound or two of fried eggs and pancakes it would have been better. 2.5 stars at best - not a 5-star experience by far Dave & Anne read more

Really excellent food. The place (in terms of the ambience) reminds me a bit of Manhattan's Tavern on the Green. However, the service was subpar. The hostess was very friendly but we couldn't pay our server to reciprocate a smile. Not sure if we caught him on a bad day or he just didn't particularly like us but I still gave him a 17% tip. My husband used to be a chef in a seafood restaurant in Brooklyn so quality of food and service are pretty big to him. Unfortunately although the food deserves 4 stars (and we have NYC expectations!), the service is a meager 0.5, which averages out to 2.25 stars. I must have walked in the door of the Twilight Zone version of this restaurant yesterday morning. The good: ample parking and the wait staff seem friendly, albeit a wee bit stepford-ish. The bad: everything else. Food was severely undercooked. I ordered the omelet Nicole, with fresh spinach, mushrooms, and cheese. It comes on top of half a croissant. Delish, right? Um, no. It was so underdone that I couldn't take two bites before I dug underneath to eat the croissant, hoping to have something solid in my stomach...which had also become a liquified pool of buttery ooze. Tell me, how does an omelette turn something that was once solid into a liquid without extreme temp changes? Science be damned! And.....the potato pancakes...um, what? NO. Just...no. Also, DH found a blond hair in his otherwise overcooked omelette. Also, to the stepford comment. When asked if we wanted a refill of 'joe, my DH said 'yes please but with room for cream'. Mr Stepford just kept smiling as he overfilled the coffee cup so it actually runneth over. I kid you not. Our server also seemed a little chilly. Although friendly. It was weird. And my god. It's SUNDAY MORNING. What would possess you to ring a damn bell six times just to announce that someone ordered apple pancakes? THEY'RE PANCAKES. Your poor staff that have to listen to that multiple times a day, I fear for their sanity. Oh wait...that must be the Stepford angle, yes? No thank you. Food was great (and plentiful). My boyfriend and I live only 10 minutes away and would have loved to have made this a weekend (or every other weekend) tradition -- but it's just too expensive. Eh, we'll probably splurge a couple times a year or when a relative comes to town . It isn't that we can't afford to eat out once in a while -- the point is we DO like to eat out... and a $40 egg breakfast just isn't us. The place was busy so - must be working for them. Dear Oak Table... if you do find the biz slacking off please adjust those prices! I'm sure others feel as we do - great place... a tad too expensive. A lovely place for our breakfast, both the food and the services. The house-specialty Apple Pancake, which more closely resembles a soufflé in texture and is drenched in a cinnamon glaze, is sinfully delicious. It's like eating dessert for breakfast; I have no objection. A proper omelette in my book needs to be fluffy; and theirs is done properly. Too many places will fry up eggs on a flat top, throw on bits and pieces of whatever fillings and then fold the egg over and call it an omelette. Not so here, they do omelette right. We also ordered quiche and a sandwich, apple cake is definitely the stand-out. Casey was our server and was attentive and friendly. Put this on your to-go list if you are near Sequim. read more
