This restaurant was really phenomenal! Their cocktails were especially tasty, and they had so many options! The buffalo cauliflower was also delicious, it actually was the first time I enjoyed having blue cheese. I also got to talk to the owners and the chef, and they were all so kind and clearly put in a lot of thought and care into their work. This was a great place to go prior to a show in the theatre district. I had the roast chicken, and it was so tender and juicy with just the right amount of crunchy skin. The veggies served underneath (spinach, mushroom, onion, potato) had great flavor and texture. Husband had the short rib pappardelle which he said was good, but overpriced for what it was. *BRAND NEW MUST TRY* Best friend and I wanted to try somewhere new and trendy with outdoor seating because you know...covid. We heard about this place opening and decided to try it out. We are so glad we did! We visited around 5:30pm on a Saturday evening. Parking was simple..we parked on the street right outside the restaurant and it wasn't too busy yet. We walk in and immediately love the atmosphere. High ceilings, beautiful greenery, dim lighting..a very nice ambience. We were greeted by the hostess who showed us the QR code for the menu. All of the employees we saw were wearing masks. We asked to sit outside. The patio is covered by beautiful classical style ceiling and there are plenty of tables. It's great for people-watching in the middle of the city. Our waiter was super helpful and attentive. He immediately brought us waters and warm, fresh bread that was delicious. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and we ended up ordering some of his recommendations...the tater tots for an appetizer, the Pizza Bianco (which my friend and I split), and the Lemon Olive Oil Cake. We devoured the tater tots! They are served in a cream base with corn, jalapeno, and cheddar cheese for toppings. The Pizza Bianco was perfect for splitting. Our waiter recommended switching out the truffle honey for truffle oil and we enjoyed it! The Lemon Olive Oil Cake was very good as well. Our waiter had recommended the Four-Cheese Cheesecake and based on how great everything else was, we will definitely be back to try it! Although the pork belly was extremely tender and flavorful, the flavor was very smoky and Korean forward. I've had this flavor in my household many times, this definitely tasted off but familiar The chicken pasta was uniquely shaped. The sauce was great, chicken was dry. I wish there was more sauce and the texture was a little more chewy and not tough The bucantini was okay. The noodles were hard in some parts, shrimp was okay, sauce was slightly different from the chicken pasta but not much The chocolate banana cake was our favorite. We loved the ice cream with it and the cake was moist The olive oil cake was very dense. Way too citrusy, it was overwhelmingly dry also. Neither were so for the new The Nash Houston in the former Texaco building at Rusk and Fannin downtown. There was a nice crowd and the 49.00 Prix Fixe Valentine's Day special was a steal. Stopped by with some of friends we all decided to split a couple of appetizers, main, and dessert. We tried the tequenos, yellowfin tuna crudo, mussels, lemon shrimp bucatini, and their cheese cake. Our top were the mussels, because the sauce was really good. Followed by the yellowfin tuna crude, but it does has a little bit of a kick which I love spicy things. Lastly, we were pleasantly surprised by their cheesecake which as many have mentioned has balsamic vinaigrette which compliments the sweetness of the cake. They have parking available in a garage near by that offers self park and valet. It is located downtown, so there's not many other things around it. Loved everything about this restaurant, starting with the "Spicy" Gimlet cocktail which I asked NOT be "spicy". Lol - it was perfect! My friend did have spicy and she loved hers as well! Was NOT a fan of the Forbidden eggs, but the Wild Muchroom and Korean Bacon starters were on point! Pan-seared snapper entree for the win! Loved the atmosphere and they now have a room available for private events. Service was excellent as well! If I liked spicier foods, it would get 5 stars but the short-rib pasta dish was too spicy for me to eat. Would still recommend for those who like spicier fare. read more

This place is a nice addition to downtown. I live in the building upstairs so it makes it very nice that they bring the food to your door. When dining in, the patio is nice and you get a real feel for city life. The salmon is excellent, the pizza is good, and I also recommend hamburgers. The adult mac & cheese has an interesting taste, but worth getting. Overall, definitely glad to see that they moved into the building. Very good accommodated me throughout the day as I needed to change my reservation time before arriving twice. upon arriving we use valet located in the parking garage next to restaurant. Friendly welcome inn & sat my party immediately gave us drinks. Our waiter Mr. Marco was very attentive we got the mussels (very good,could use some more toast on side.) When my best buddy from junior high told me our former junior high coach would be in town to run the Houston Marathon, I set out to find a spot downtown where we could all hear each other talk while enjoying delicious food. The Nash was the carefully handpicked setting for our reunion, and I can't wait to return with colleagues and friends soon. All of the following were perfect: Mushroom risotto - al dente, cozy, creamy, fragrant. Excellent texture and flavoring. Forbidden eggs - adventurous combination of flavors. Thai-inspired soft boiled egg presented halved, coated with a thin, crisp exterior, and served on a generous but not messy bed of sweet chili sauce. It's a wonder I didn't eat the entire plate of these golden eggs, but I suppose I had to share! Tater tots - I resisted these but then gave in to my inner Sonic-loving-self, and I was not disappointed! The herbed cream fresca and other lovely accoutrements danced together so well, and I'll definitely order these again. Yellowfin tuna crudo - prettily presented on a bed of wasabi with jicama and a medley of mandolined radishes, the tuna was of the perfect temperature and pleased every taste bud in my mouth. We did have to ask for a second order of this beauty. It would make a wonderful light lunch. Wild mushroom toast - the flavor fireworks were at with this selection. Very simply my favorite dish of the evening. Simple, rustic, wholesome perfection on a plate. I could eat this every day. Excellent choice of mushrooms. Mussels - everyone wanted the recipe! Mussels are a favorite of mine, and I know I'll need to have these on all future visits. The combination of chorizo, capers, and subtle Thai flavors left me feeling happily satisfied and at home. A winning menu item everyone must try. Pizza - I'm so sorry I have no idea which pizza we ordered. It was delicious though! We received excellent and personal service. I'm sure our waiter didn't need to know all the details of our junior high experience, but he humored us while providing a steady stream of appetizers and pizza. The bathrooms were clean and fully stocked. The overall aesthetic was of respectfully preserved history. Floor length windows allowed a close-up view of downtown excitement and visual interest. It was one of those nights I paid more attention to my fabulous company than to the menu. Looking over the menu this morning before writing this review, I see I should have paid closer attention! I usually don't write bad reviews bc each person has their taste, but this place was very disappointing. We went excited about the menu and 3/4 starters we tried lacked flavor. I had a beet salad with ONE beet cut in 4 pieces underneath a mound of arugula barely dressed. My husband ordered a mushroom toast that was also lacking seasoning, as also did his cup of lentil soup. The only dish we enjoyed was the Korean Bacon dish; well seasoned but difficult to eat, not highly different than similar dishes at other restaurants. This place was awesome. Its fairly new downtown but I loved everything about it. I came her for my friend's birthday dinner. They have a wide selection of drinks and their food is the bomb. It wasn't too crowded and their parking garage is fairly close. I would suggest this place for a girl's night out or even a dinner with your hun. Our waiter was BJ and he did a fantastic job! The restaurant is attractive, but this was an unpleasant experience from start to finish. The parking is incredibly confusing, there is a late sign in front of the building, but that is not the case. You need to self park or valet, both of which are in the garage off Fannin. You then have to walk out onto the street to get to the restaurant which is dangerous. The wait staff is untrained. They shouted out our orders to us and placed the wrong food in front of people. The food was bland. The desert was inedible. The cheesecake was one of the worst I have ever had. Came here for happy hour and sat on the patio. The ambiance is gorgeous here, and one of the highlights of the dining experience. Our server seemed to be new, as she was vague with answers. For ex., I asked the kind of liquor in the Arod, and she said vodka. When I asked what kind, she said "oh, it's a good one". The drink is similar to a cosmo. For apps, we had TEQUEÑOS (Venezuelan artisan cheese wrapped in scratch-made dough, tartar sauce, Korean bbq sauce), which were my fave of the 3 we ordered! So rich and flavorful. Also had the FORBIDDEN EGG (Crunchy, sweet & spicy eggs, sweet chili sauce, cilantro, Thai basil, crispy shallots), which I thought was an inappropriate name, as forbidden eggs are typically something entirely different. And lastly the LAMB LOLLIPOP (with Mint cumin chimichurri), which was also solid, tender, and flavorful. Overall and ok experience. Expect great service, great food, and nothing but amazing vibes. 100% get the Forbidden eggs, they are the most intricate and delish meal I have had in a while. The Lemon Shrimp Bucatini is highly recommended as your main dish the flavor profile of this meal speaks for itself. I'd say the pasta is both refreshing and made with love. The pasta has a richness to it that pairs well with the veggies in it and plump shrimp. So overall I was disappointed with my experience. The high point was the mussels that I shared with my friends. It was sooooo yummy and flavorful. My salmon and risotto were okay. The other guest had mixed reviews. Everything was either bland or too salty, or not enough flavor. I ordered the spinach but there wasn't enough salt and pepper to season it. I returned it. Worst night ever. We made reservations for the Valentines 4 course meal. We waited for 2 hours, people were seated before us at the table we reserved and given food before us even though we had made reservation days before. I am so disappointed. I live at the Star Houston just upstairs and had to take a walk of shame after receiving no food and even was encouraged to leave because of the slow management. I was very disappointed with my meal here at the Nash. I will say a brighter points is the mussels . My table shared those as an appetizer and they were actually amazing. I got the butternut squash ravioli and it was a mouth full of bland. It didn't have a sauce , it was sweeter which was fine , but the combination of bland and dry was just not appetizing. My dinner mates had differing opinions on their entrees. One enjoyed their entrée and the other felt the same about there being a general lack of flavor. Parking is a mess here. The garage is around the corner and you go through a locked gate to get in. They you walk around the block past the garbage dumpster to get to the front doors. Service was pleasant but inexperienced. When our meals came out they yell out who had the fish, who had the pasta, etc. It would have been easier to leave the dishes up at the counter and had us pick them up. Please give your staff some training. Flavors were very bland. The short rib pasta dish was tasteless. The burger was equal to a fast food burger. The chef needs to be introduced to spices. I went to the Nash on Wednesday of their opening week. I was impressed by the service and throughly enjoyed the food. The waitstaff were, to put it simply, amazing. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and accommodated our desire to sit in the covered outdoor seating despite the cold weather. The food was flavorful and well prepared. For appetizers we had Mussels and the happy hour Wild Mushroom Toast. For the Mussels, I found that not a single shell was empty, the accompanying toast was flavorful, and it worked well for our group of four (I would recommend it for a group of two if you are only ordering one appetizer). For the happy hour Wild Mushroom Toast, the flavor was wonderful but it only came with a single piece of toast. My wife and I split the Wild Mushroom Toast but with it being so reasonably priced I would recommend getting more than one. I am looking forward to dinning here again in the near future. read more

This place is absolutely killer. We had just flown in from LA and were staying dowtown - popped into the place before the dinner rush and were blown away at the service and the food was fantastic. My wife had the short ribs pasta dish and I had the herb roasted chicken which may have the best I've ever had. I took a bite of my wife's short-ribs dish and it wanted to eat hers too (hand made pasta). Vic was great and we even got to chat with the owners Alvin and Dora who are the nicest people you can ever hope to meet. The food was good. I bDefinitely recommend the mussels very tasty. I had the salad with salmon it was good and my friend had the red snapper dish. He definitely enjoyed it. While the food was good the service was basic. It would be the level service I would expect from Chili's. The waiter was friendly but did not know much about wine and spilled it eveytime he went to fill a glass. He took our silverware away with the appetizer which is good but never replaced it. When the main dishes arrived we asked the bus boy to get us a couple fork and knives. I expected more from a downtown restaurant. read more
