I have been to this place 3 or 4 times and I have found my local nail salon now. The place is very clean and bright, with plenty of spots for both manicures and pedicures. The most important thing about Nail Bar though is the consistency. I have gotten manis and pedis from 3 different technicians and no matter what I leave pleased. I am not getting anything fancy, besides may be some color on my toes , but I leave satisfied with the job done. read more

What a horrible experience today. Originally my mother-in-law and my wife love this place and I agree because of how nice the nails were. But unfortunately, they will not be returning nor would I recommend this place to anyone else at least to spare their sanity and their time. I'm not gonna sugarcoat this review because unfortunately, this type of thing shouldn't go unnoticed. As I recall and what I was told from both my mother-in-law and my wife was that they went to the nail place expecting an appointment today initially this was just for my wife and not for my mother-in-law. The owner had the audacity to come up to my mother-in-law and getting her face and say that she was nasty and whole bunch of other things and this did not happen, Over the course of the time she also claimed to have canceled the appointment from my mother-in-law when again this was for my wife. The owner got very nasty with my wife and my mother-in-law and my mother-in-law and wife had left. My wife was visibly upset. This is not how business owner should conduct business on top of all. She had the nerve to call my Wife's phone and ask if she was coming to the appointment and wondered if she was late though she was the one that had just thrown them both out because of how nasty she was. All mother-in-law did was ask about the price was different and did not do a nasty condescending tone. I'm not sure why there's so much sensitivity lately with people being so pushy. It was just a simple question because everyone sits their own rates she was just curious why it was more. I will be honest this is not how to run your business. This is completely disrespectful. I'm posting this on behalf of them and maybe this will get notice and maybe make the owner realize that she should treat her customers a lot better and not be so condescending and nasty for no reason maybe you should learn a little bit better how to be a business owner than to treat your customers like garbage. I've been doing reviews for a long time and hearing this kind of absolute nonsense infuriates me because this shouldn't happen to anyone. I feel bad that maybe this may have been happening to other people and my my family wasn't the only one to have encountered this nonsense. Nothing for nothing. The nails were nice, but at the price of an attitude and an argument I don't really see a reason to keep supporting this kind of business. Cannot comment on the quality of product because I never actually got my nails done. I called and made an appointment for 4:30, got there at 4:20.. sat around until 4:55 and then left. They had me move spots three times but never actually started the process of doing my nails. Literally the best nail salon in all of Beaufort, Bluffton, and Hilton Head. I moved here about a year ago from Miami and my nail expectations were not met anywhere else until I found The Nail Bar. Not only are they the sweetest people, but my nails always look fabulous after coming here. They do everything - dip, acrylic, gel, designs, foil, chrome - you name it! Everyone was nice and the person that did my nails, Kim, is very kind. She always asks before she finish anything to be sure that's really what I wanted. Great price compared to on island ($35), but a very painful manicure. I got a fill in for my acrylic nails and my tech did a beautiful job on the shape and painting my nails and he was very receptive when I asked him to do certain things with the shape, but he DESTROYED my cuticles. My fingers have been throbbing since I got them done yesterday, and my cuticles keep bleeding. He was extremely careless with the spinning tool they use to take off old polish, and so I have many cuts and one of my fingers is so bad that the skin around my cuticle is swelling bc he took off so much of my skin and it's irritated. I KNOW he saw what he did bc several of my fingers were literally bleeding as he painted my nails, but he never offered even an apology so that was unfortunate. However, overall it's a friendly atmosphere and I'm sure that the other technicians won't make me hurt as much as this one did, so I will be returning bc the work is good and the price is great! read more

Best nail place in Bluffton. They've stayed late finishing my nails because I arrived late, they always do an amazing job and listen to what I want. I'm very picky and they're always super patient and go above and beyond. I was driving all the way to savannah to get my nails done at my old go-to spot until I found them. I had my SNS dip nail manicure last over a month with no chipping or staining!!! I've been to a few other nail salons in Bluffton and the quality of work is just not the same! Four stars because I have had two very different experiences so I can not make a decision on whether this salon will be my new "home". My first experience was a couple years ago when I moved to the area. I received a glitter French acrylic set. The manicure was one of the worst manicures of my entire life. My cuticles bled, the glitter ran into the "pink" portion of my nails, and the lady who did my nails did not even attempt to fix it. I had to ask the manager for a discount and instead he just redid all of my nails. I missed my dinner reservation with friends that were only in town for one night because I had to get two removals of acrylics and then two additions totaling almost four hours. Present day. I decided to give this place another shot since my go to salon went downhill and I was in the area running errands. I stopped in on a whim and I am so thankful I did. I only had time for a manicure and in this day and age I get the SNS dip powder. Tami did singlehandedly the best SNS manicure of my life. She took into detail everything I could have thought of. From making sure the finish was smooth (my old place would leave dents and bumps). Making sure the shape was perfect (my natural shape is round and I can not stand square nails on myself). She went above and beyond. I walked out smiling after have to go three weeks with trashed nails from my old go to. I can not wait to go back and get my next set and a pedicure this time. They had such a large selection of not only SNS dip powder but gel polishes as well. Very friendly place. I can not wait for more positive experiences so I can change my review to five stars. read more

Would look for another place to go. Nice staff but even after leaving the flip flop on my toes for 3 hours after pedicure - the toe was smudged due to heavy application and my fingernail is already coming off less than 24 hours later. Spend more at a resort and get one that lasts and also uses fresh foot scrubbers. This one did not and seemed not as sanitary as it should be. read more

While visiting in November I had a french manicure with Jack. He used the dipping powder. I loved it! It was so fabulous that I received more than a dozen compliments when I returned home. I just came back for another visit with Jack and again left extremely satisfied. Looking forward to coming back for another visit..... already can't wait to have him do my nails. read more

But the tech used a very-used file on me (sorry, that turned me off) and when I got out into the light I saw the polish had been applied heavily and there were visible layers on the nails (the polish didn't extend fully across the nail). Worst place ever! Went in for a new nail color and they did the worst job ever. The person who painted my nails did it in such a hurry that it was all over and he didn't even clean the edges off. Not only that but he caked that nail polish on. Ended up having to tell him take it off. They became real rude afterward. read more

A great place to go to for uniquely designed nails! I came here for cute nails to celebrate my 21st birthday. I got the look I was going for! Cheetah print turquoise nails, they looked fabulous! Jason (the owner) was the technician doing my nails, he made me feel very comfortable - almost like family. I also got a pedi while I was there and it was very relaxing. It has been quite a while since I've been back here. I would recommend making an appointment, I showed up as a walk-in a few weeks ago and had to go elsewhere due to limited time. read more

will never be going back a couple of months ago I had made an appointment to get my nails filled I had to wait 10 minutes when I got there (no big deal) then once they finally started on my nails removing the nail polish they made the guy doing my nails stop and start on someone else who had just walked in I sat there for about 35 mins before I finally got so fed up I left with grown out unpolished acrylic nails thank goodness H'allure nails took me straight in (in & out in 40 mins...the amount of time I spent waiting at the nail bar where I had an appointment)!! in this time of me waiting two walk ins got pedicures and started on a manicure...definitely don't recommend read more
