First, an excessive amount of essential oil was used, far more than is typically appropriate. At no point was I asked about my comfort level, preferences, or whether I wanted head or face work. If I had been asked, I would have declined. Instead, my hair was taken out of my updo without permission, completely rubbed out, and my face was massaged with essential oil still on the therapist's hands -- none of which I consented to. The therapist also left the room for about two minutes without saying a word. Proper protocol is to inform the client before stepping away so they feel safe and aware of what's happening. Draping was another major issue. When I turned over, it was clear the therapist did not know how to properly drape to protect client modesty. If I had not been wearing underwear, I would have been exposed. Additionally, during upper‑chest work, the hand placement went beyond the appropriate area, which made me uncomfortable. The most alarming part of the session was that the treatment room door was left half open during my massage. Combined with improper draping, this created a situation where I could have easily been exposed to anyone walking by. Clean facility and friendly staff aside, these issues are unacceptable. I hope this review encourages better training and awareness, because no client should ever feel unsafe or exposed during a massage.

It's located on the first floor and reminds me more of a townhouse set up than a business setup. The first room is the waiting room with a small desk and the business name against the back wall. I was greeted by Laveda who I later learned is the owner. At the time I had only made the appointment for a basic IV bag not knowing much about the others that could be offered. I was taken to the IV room to fill out the paperwork while she finished up with another client. The space was clean, cozy and cute. I ended up upgrading my IV bag after speaking with her more and telling her about my history and how I had been feeling. I was very surprised that she sat with me the whole time I received treatment. There was no awkward silence and we enjoyed chatting like we were good friends. Most salons I know would have just set me up and left me alone but I enjoyed the company. The service overall was great! I warned her in the beginning that I was a hard stick and my veins had a mind of their own and even though I had been drinking a lot water they may still be hard. And they didn't disappoint it took quite a few tries to get a vein which is completely normal for me and after finally getting set up I was good to go. The appointment was scheduled for a hour but it run over a little over 2h but I barely noticed since we had been chatting and sharing stories.

Then less than 3 hours before my husband and my massages, I get a rambling voicemail from the front desk that my husband's massage therapist, Andrea Z, can actually only do 50 minutes because of wrist pain, so he'd be waiting half an hour for me to finish...not feeling full faith in someone who has wrist pain giving a quality deep tissue massage. I let them know the late notice was very inconvenient because we would've just gotten booked somewhere else, and asked for the manager to call me back, or to try calling someone else in who could support the appointment. About an hour before the appointment - no call back from the manager, so I call. The front desk person at the spa says "she went ahead and just changed his to 50 minutes (even though that was not agreed) and that she couldn't have the manager call me back - 'that's up to the manager who's in another building so it's outside her control.'" Just a lot of incompetence, poor customer service, and disorganization on their side. Customer's have to cancel before 7pm ET the day before for a full refund. But the spa can give 3 hours notice?
