We were driving through Bluffton on our way from Hilton Head to Savannah, stopped for a quick bite, and were so taken by the charm of this darling town, we decided to stay for the night. The owner of one of the AMAZING restaurants (shout out to Crudo!) encouraged us to see if the Bluffton Inn had any availability. They did. What a great Inn! Garret at the hotel was so warm and welcoming. He also made a phenomenal Old Fashioned ;) The rooms were spacious,. clean, and lovely. The customer service really top notch. Felt like we discovered a hidden gem from "yesteryear" when customer service was valued and important. We live on the West Coast, but when we make our way back to SC, will definitely return to the Old Town Bluffton Inn.

This place just recently opened. I have one word for it... FABULOUS!! The general manager Chelsea and some of her associates were there to greet us and show us around a little bit. We met the owner, Larry. What a great sense of humor. From the minute you walk into the wonderfully adorned lobby, you will feel welcome and see what great care and detail was put into this place. The area is full of interesting galleries, shops, restaurants and bars. Check out my review on Old Town Bluffton and see for yourself. Thanks to Chelsea, Larry and the fabulous man who first greeted us. We can't wait to stay here soon!!!

Impeccably appointed, incredibly clean! Vince and Danielle made it feel like we were being welcomed home. I can't forget to mention "Camo", the cutest little maltipoo that we would've taken home with us if they would've let us! We will definitely be back!

Our arrival coincided with a robust local festival and gaining admittance to the parking lot was going to be a challenge. Hotel staff were very helpful in directing us. Chelsea who my husband described as "cute as a button" took us to our room making sure to replenish the snack offering in our room. When you are hungry but is tooooo early for dinner, having a snack is welcome. The attention to detail throughout the building far SURPASSES large name hotels (Hilton and Marriott). They could take lessons. From the lobby and period style furnishings, the lounge area are warm and inviting. Seating areas are plentiful and encourage conversation with the guests. After perusing the street fair and our arrival back at the hotel, a lovely chat with "Larry" along with a glass of wine. A very pleasant and welcome respite before dinner. Larry it turns out is the owner and builder responsible for the design of the Old Town Bluffton Inn. It shows. The building is only 6 months old yet looks period. His attention to detail is superb. From the period furnishings in the lobby which are warm, comfortable and inviting, the hotel staff, our own private balcony where you can enjoy a glass of wine, the very plush room furnishings (top quality), the marble soap dish, the on/off knob for the shower is separate (wall) from the shower head, the cabinetry in the bathroom, the drapes to keep the heat of the day out, to the breakfast area in the lobby (self serve) and every conceivable item to break your fast (boiled eggs, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, juice, water, breads and condiments). Larry has thought of everything... and it shows. He was also open to suggestions as to how he might improve upon guest.comfort. What a delightful change of pace from large chain hotels and where the guest is just another turn and burn. P.S. the Inn is pet friendly

I felt bad for the guy checking in because he said I would be fine. But he was obviously poorly trained. I woke up in the night choking from this trigger and went downstairs to tell the guy to show him otherwise than he had told me with physical proof. I asked for a room for disabled persons and they didn't even have one...! I have been comped when this has happened at another National chains in a better known cities I couldn't address this a few hours later because I was in town for a family emergency and had to leave right away with other family members for a very difficult day. The next day the GM refused to see me while I waited in the lobby doing some work to see them. Then various staffers started lying and said this had been going on for days when this had happened just the day before? Can y'all not count? Funnily enough, it was the male team members who were the rudest about this situation so I don't know that this place can do about that. In addition, I'm also a c patient which is a disability as well so seriously, there was some awful ignorance and disrespect, there.

I ignored the Surfwatch email on Preferred Owner check-in as another marketing ploy, but was given the notice at guard date; still skeptical, my experience was pleasant. Owners of multiple weeks at Surfwatch are taken to an agent in a private area, and are quickly checked in.... Yes, there is a mention of the obnoxious sales presentation, and my decline is readily accepted. Good news is that at 2:00 check in, Our villa is ready and we are presented with keys. This is a Great Service, and we hope that it continues. As usual, Surfwatch has been updates; fresh paint, new furniture, coffee pot, and other. In our view, we find value in our maintenance fees.... Surfwatch is well-managed property. Our practice is to lunch at Hudson's on arrival day; travel tip - skip the on-water deck and enjoy the views and lunch from A/C tables at windows. Surfwatch is home for the next two weeks; we have been visiting HHI for 60 years, and are HHI Marriott Vacation Club members for 20+ years - Our membership has resulted in Marriott exchanges to nearly all US Marriott Vacation Clubs including Hawaii. We like the mid-island location, and while we also own two weeks at Grand Ocean, we do enjoy Both properties. An advantage of autumn and spring ownership (especially autumn) is the mostly child free environment, and the many, many opportunities to converse with fellow senior citizens. My informal poll has yet to discover a discontented Marriott Vacation Club member. We agree owner fees are high, but bring good value.

Through our research, we finally settled on 607 Bay Inn and I'm glad we did. We were graciously welcomed upon arrival and given a lay of the land which included two communal kitchens, the veranda and balcony, and our room. Our room was situated on the second floor at the back of the house. Each room has its own private bath. We also received vouchers to be used for breakfast at our choice of a couple of different eateries downtown. 607 Bay is easily within walking distance of shopping and restaurants as well as the waterfront. The inn has delightful waterfront views itself. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the balcony as well as our evening nightcap. It wasn't until a few years ago that I realized I had an appreciation for architecture, especially that of the previous century or two. This inn has that charm in spades. Though the essentials are updated as you can see from the pictures, the old wooden floors have a creak to them and the doors to the front of the house have notes on how to open them with ease. It's a charm that, to me, is priceless. Everything at the inn was well appointed. We had zero issues during our stay. If we're ever back in the area, staying here again would be an easy yes for us. I would recommend it for you as well.

I am at the stage in my life where I have time to relax, I can put everything on the back burner and take a two week vacation. On this past trip, I was able to get off the cruise ship in Miami, stop in for a quick hello at my father in laws house and then head up north. Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort was the perfect stop. This year I planned for a two night stay at the property. We reserved a two bedroom unit with a magnificent view of the low country coastal marsh. Birds and assorted wild life are flying by, it can't get more picturesque from what I'm seeing from our private deck. *From September 8, 2025, through March 2026, Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort will undergo exterior maintenance. You may see and hear construction and refurbishment work during daytime hours. They got rid of the ESSO sign! I'm glad to see Disney is making the investment on this property. Our room looks great, it seems like they first worked on all of the interior rooms. We just stayed at the Boardwalk Hotel, this two bedroom had the same contemporary feel. The Murphy Bed is similar to The Boardwalk, it's a great design. The question is, is it really a "Disney" hotel? I own points in Disney Vero Beach, Vero Beach is a true Disney hotel. Wanna know something? If I'm driving back to NY from a Disney Orlando Hotel, Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort is my next stop. Thank you Disney for investing in the property and giving it that Disney magic feel.

The hotel itself is negative stars but yelp isn't giving me that option…read more This is literally the worst Marriott branded hotel I've ever stayed in, (with the exception of the staff, who were very nice). I'm my opinion the entire hotel needs to be shut down for a few days to be de-humidified. The musty smell is a huge turnoff and makes me concerned for the health of the staff. For me, staying here was an uncomfortable humid and smelly inconvenience. Even the bedspreads felt damp. But for the staff, I believe it's a health risk since they are here every day. It appears that mold may been painted over in the bathroom. Also there aren't any bathroom fans so if you take a shower it will become even more humid in your room, if that is even possible. I'm not an expert but someone from the health department should come check it out be be sure. When I called the front desk to see if they had any dehumidifier crystals or equipment I was told to put my air conditioner on auto. So I took it off high and waited out the night. As expected it made zero difference in 8 hours. I realize that hotel options are limited in this area. To make your stay more comfortable if you must stay here, take a trip to a home supply store and pick up a few packages of damp rid. It will cost less than ten bucks and will help a lot. Do it early though so it has time to work.
