There is a place that I used to frequent at Sheridan Plaza where the owner is gruff and unpleasant. Her husband put the polish on so thick that it didn't dry and looked terrible. There was another place next to Marshalls where they rushed me, seemed liked they disliked what they were doing and/or disliked me, and never took all of the old polish off. You could se a ridge line with the old polish under the new and bits of color from the old polish on the edges. There was the place near Belfair Krogers where the girl hurt me so bad when dealing with my ingrown toenails that I yelled in pain and bled. You get the picture. I had just about given up. I realize it is usually the luck of the draw. There are some good nail techs at most salons. I just hadn't found one. I was driving by Pink Polish 2 and pulled in and read reviews. They were mixed. Many of the bad reviews seemed to be older, so I decided to give it a try. I have latched on to Sky, and will not let anyone else do my nails. At first I was just getting pedicures. My toe nails are really difficult to do - the big toenails are painfully ingrown, two toes on my right foot have what is called hammer toe which affects the nail. Sky is a magician - seems to do the impossible - without hurting me! She doesn't rush at all and does a thorough job and is very nice to talk with. As for my fingernails which never grow, she shapes them in such a way, that I found myself having to cut them back in a month because they actually grew! I can't speak for the other nail techs there, and I can't speak for fills and gels, but I can say that for a basic mani/pedi, you can't go wrong with Sky. FIVE STARS!

Unusual request a first but I can see in these times the necessity to keep the germs down. Came here as this was the closest nail place to where I was doing errands. I also chose this place because I love Pink Polish, but learned once inside they are no longer affiliated. Note the vibe in the shop was eerily quiet no music or talking. They were able to take me right away for a regular manicure. I picked a nice OPI color and sat down. It was a pretty good manicure except the person doing my nails only wanted to do one coat of polish. I insisted on two? Crazy the price you pay for a manicure $25. has nearly doubled since Covid and now you don't even want to put on two coats?! No drying station either. The person doing my nails had me pay before polish. I thankfully had cash for the service and tip to make it easier on her. As she made change from where she was seated and didn't have to move. My polish still looks good after three days. Only because I insisted on getting two coats as I have gotten for nearly 50 years of getting my nails done. Sorry I was put in that position that I had to insist on it.

Most salons where I've had it done seem to rush through the process and leave my nails in a bad state. I left Nail Pro feeling like my nails were decently healthy after a gel removal. IMPORTANT NOTE: -Nail Pro DOES NOT accent credit cards! Cash or check only. There's a nearby ATM though. PROS: -My gel nail polish removal was really well-done with attention to detail and caring for my nails. The gel polish was fully removed, and when there was a small sparkle left, the salonist attempted to remove it before saying he was going to leave it there for fear of damaging my nail. My nails left the salon looking pretty darn awesome compared to every gel-polish removal I've done before. -Nail Pro was able to fit us in last-minute. We were a walk-in appointment, and they had no problem fitting us in. -This nail salon is also located near a grocery store and lots of other restaurants. It makes it nicely located to quickly stop in and get your nails done if that's what you want to do. CONS: -It's a very small nail salon. It seems like there are a limited number of employees here. There are two waiting chairs and just a few manicure and few pedicure stations. I'm not sure they have a bathroom here. -Nail polish colors are relatively limited compared to much larger salons. This isn't the end of the world (since the nail polish colors of large nail salons are way too many), but if you're looking for a very, very specific color, they might not have it. It seems like they have more-than-enough colors to choose from though. -For some odd reason, when we attempted to call the nail salon beforehand, no one answered the phone.
