I was a walk-in several months ago. I have had such a difficult time finding a salon with someone who does a good job and is also pleasant. There is a place that I used to frequent at Sheridan Plaza where the owner is gruff and unpleasant. Her husband put the polish on so thick that it didn't dry and looked terrible. There was another place next to Marshalls where they rushed me, seemed liked they disliked what they were doing and/or disliked me, and never took all of the old polish off. You could se a ridge line with the old polish under the new and bits of color from the old polish on the edges. There was the place near Belfair Krogers where the girl hurt me so bad when dealing with my ingrown toenails that I yelled in pain and bled. You get the picture. I had just about given up. I realize it is usually the luck of the draw. There are some good nail techs at most salons. I just hadn't found one. I was driving by Pink Polish 2 and pulled in and read reviews. They were mixed. Many of the bad reviews seemed to be older, so I decided to give it a try. I have latched on to Sky, and will not let anyone else do my nails. At first I was just getting pedicures. My toe nails are really difficult to do - the big toenails are painfully ingrown, two toes on my right foot have what is called hammer toe which affects the nail. Sky is a magician - seems to do the impossible - without hurting me! She doesn't rush at all and does a thorough job and is very nice to talk with. As for my fingernails which never grow, she shapes them in such a way, that I found myself having to cut them back in a month because they actually grew! I can't speak for the other nail techs there, and I can't speak for fills and gels, but I can say that for a basic mani/pedi, you can't go wrong with Sky. FIVE STARS! read more

8-15-24 Walk In Late morning When you walk in the door they immediately have you go to the back to wash your hands. Unusual request a first but I can see in these times the necessity to keep the germs down. Came here as this was the closest nail place to where I was doing errands. I also chose this place because I love Pink Polish, but learned once inside they are no longer affiliated. Note the vibe in the shop was eerily quiet no music or talking. They were able to take me right away for a regular manicure. I picked a nice OPI color and sat down. It was a pretty good manicure except the person doing my nails only wanted to do one coat of polish. I insisted on two? Crazy the price you pay for a manicure $25. has nearly doubled since Covid and now you don't even want to put on two coats?! No drying station either. The person doing my nails had me pay before polish. I thankfully had cash for the service and tip to make it easier on her. As she made change from where she was seated and didn't have to move. My polish still looks good after three days. Only because I insisted on getting two coats as I have gotten for nearly 50 years of getting my nails done. I just came to get a full acrylic set and tried this place out. The worse nails I've ever had. She got gel polish and acrylic powder on my cuticles, and left finger prints and air bubbles on my polish. Lastly, one of my fingers are crooked (I broke it and it never healed) and I asked her to file it a certain way, and she tried to tell me it was fine and that she did it. My nail was so crooked and uneven, it made my already crooked finger look even more messed up. I understand they were close to closing, but I am still a paying customer & deserve the time & care I'm paying for. I'm sure they're other services are good, but unfortunately not acrylics. Update: I've been waiting to post this for a week because I felt bad, but my nail completely fell off after literally a week... and it wasn't even a nail from my dominant hand. All my nails are lifting and look terrible. Waste of time and money. read more

I'm taking a star off because the lady that did my nails didn't really do anything with my cuticles. But the nails themselves came out really pretty, smooth, clean, and even. They also seemed really sturdy, though I only kept them on for a few days before filing them down because I can't have long nails with my job. read more

The salon itself was cute. But they used a different color then requested. I asked for a blue, gave them the swatch, and they gave me green. They reuse tools and just "spray" them between customers. I have nail polish all over my fingers AFTER the nail tech tried to clean some of it off even. She had multiple other techs come over to try and help her to understand how to do ombré, before saying she couldn't do it. We will not be going back or recommending this salon. read more

The salon itself is well run, however, the level of 'rude' is overwhelming! I travel around a lot and get my nails done in various locations. When I explained how much 'I loved' my last nail service (in the mid-west), the nail tech at this location ripped the job to shreds! He went on and on about how horrible my nails looked (after I just told him how much I loved the way my nails looked/felt). My BFF and I came here on a Sunday for pedis. They were pretty busy but we were fortunate that they were able to get us both in within a reasonable amount of time. The next time I think I would make a reservation to be on the safe side. After our pedi, I decided to have a polish change. I had been doing gel, but decided to try the SNS powder this time. The only downside here is that they have a limited selection of colors for SNS. However, the basic pedi & SNS nails only came to $68 (before tip) which is very reasonable compared to what I normally pay. I would go back to this salon. read more

I was then informed that (2) were already 10 minutes late and they were checking if they were still arriving for their appointments or if they could accept my walk in. Even though the customers did not arrive, I was then told it would be 20 - 30 minutes. But (2) no showed??? I provided my name and said that I would come back. I came back, told to wash my hands and then had to wait again. Waited again another 15 -20 minutes. Was finally told that I could go back and select a chair. Not impressed - One technician was drinking a soda and others were congregating in the back. I got up to leave and was then informed that they could assist. I walked out and would not return. Overall feedback - Extremely poor customer service. I understand if your salon cannot accept a walk in but at the same time be honest too. read more

My friend and I visited this salon while we were vacationing in Hilton Head. Never again. I had made appointments 2 weeks in advance but when we arrived there was not a tech ready for my mani pedi. I was sat down and did not start service for 30 minutes past my appointment. At that point, I wasn't mad and figured they were just running behind. Once a tech came over to start my pedicure, he completely rushed the whole thing and even smudged one of the nails because he was rushing. I got a gel manicure after and it was the worst one I've ever experienced. He buffed my nails down so much that it was hurting, also using a nail file to file my actual skin off. I've gotten dozens of gel manicures and have never had an issue with the curing machine. This one felt like my nails were on fire. So bad that at one point I pulled my hand out so quick thinking I was actually burned. It's now been 6 days and my gel manicure is chipped in multiple spots and my pedicure is chipped on practically every nail (I typically can go a full month or longer without chipping with regular polish). My friend also had issues with her appointment and when she reached out to the salon, they were less than willing to help fix the issue. Will not be recommending this salon to anyone. read more

I have been on the look out for a good salon in the HHI area to use for my occasional long stays. I think this is the one for me! I am wary of getting a pedicure in new places or with new technicians and really do not like feeling rushed. Plus, I have very sensitive feet. I have used this salon about five separate times in the last three months. They continue to treat me and my nails professionally and in a friendly manner; from the front desk to my go-to-technician. I do wish they offered a longer massage like my favorite salon in Philadelphia, Cure Nails and Spa. At Cure, they massage your hands and feet for a few minutes prior to polishing my nails and then while my nails are drying they massage my shoulders. It is divine! read more

I went in with a friend on a Monday morning for Gel mani/ pedi's. We were seated right away which was really nice and the gentleman working at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. Here are a few points.... 1) I typically will splurge for a spa or deluxe pedicure when I go to salons but honestly here it was not worth the extra money. They only add like an extra gel, no stone massage no extra massage etc. so just stick with a standard pedicure. 2) I opted to get the new powder manicure. Overall the process seems less invasive then gel but that's all they did, there was no actual manicure. I feel for that price I should have at least had my cuticles cleaned and a little hand massage. At the end of this process I also felt rushed, I had to ask twice to get the extra material off the top of my finger. Just seemed hastily done for no reason. Overall it wasn't a terrible experience but I would chose to go back to pink polish 1 in the future. read more

I have been here two times both times horrible. 1st time I did not have an appointment, they make be wait(no big deal) for I waited for 45 mins for someone to do my mani and pedi. And on top of that my nails look like my 4 year old did them. They took no time at all, no effort in their work. Cut my finger as well. The 2nd time I make an appointment,(learned from the 1st time) still waited, they were not even busy just sitting there talking to each other. Went here the day before my wedding with my bridal party! Couldn't be more impressed with the way they treated all of us. The atmosphere was warm and kind with the bubblies flowing. All of our manicures and pedicures turned out beautifully & completed with gems and all! They also offered a variety of French Manicures that kept everything classy and timeless. I would highly suggest to book with them if you want to have a girls day or if you have any events like weddings, birthdays or even school dances! Went here with a bridal shower where we were treated like royalty! The champagne was poppin and the atmosphere was just delightful! The flower girls were spoiled and had a great time and their manicures were so precious! They offered a variety of French Manicures which really helps keep things timeless on such a big day like this!
