I used to really enjoy this nail salon but it has gone downhill in the past year. It took over 2 and a half hours to get dip with no tips and a pedicure. They swap out who is doing the work, so you have to repeat yourself several times. They had me sit in the chair and wait 40 minutes before starting my pedicure.. so the water had long gone cold. My dip color was incorrect. I asked for a glazed white and I got sparkly pink. The dip is thick and uneven, and my nails weren't filed correctly. A waste of $140. I'm convinced there are no good nail salons in Bluffton, and I'm definitely not going to come back here.. read more

I visited this salon on three different occasions. The first occasion I experienced superior service. Due to this I returned. I was unable to see the tech I originally visited. I received a subpar fill in( the paint job and the acrylic was uneven). Foolishly I went back a third time. I always do a gel polish. On this day there was one tech for 6 people and he thoroughly rushed my nails. The next day my polish chipped and peeled. I called and they requested I come in two days later. Of the places in the Beaufort area, I like this nail salon the best in both quality of work & pricing. I admit to being picky about my nail & pedi experience and each time has been great! Don't go here. Apparently under new management. I had a mani/pedi and afterwards the skin around two fingers split because they took too much off. Fingers bled for a week. I went to the salon to speak with the owner. He was completely rude and asked me what do you want me to do". After sitting there for 20 minutes waiting to speak to someone I didn't expect that. He was rude and condescending. He offered 1/2 price mani to start. But then changed to free but only if I did it right then. Which I couldn't do. He turned around and said thanks for the entertainment. When I said I would write a bad review, he said who cares 10 people will write good reviews. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! Great place to get your nails done, not so great place to get your eyelashes done. I had 31 eyelashes falls out the night i got them after brushing through them. They were clumped together so when one fell out they all fell out. But definitely great for nails. read more

I want to preface by saying that I don't get my nails done often, but when I do they never look like the pics below. I ask the 1st lady who trimmed my nails if it was possible to do the manicure in gel with the white line detail and she yes. I even asked her twice to make sure that it would look good and she assured me they would look like the pic I showed her. She left to do someone else's nails and an older lady did my nails. They look atrocious to say the least. They're uneven, bumpy, detail not done completely- all done carelessly. I didn't complain as the girl getting her nails done next to me was complaining to her nail lady about her nails looking choppy. I just wanted to go home because they weren't going to fix my issue as it was clear the other nail lady was getting annoyed that the lady kept telling her where her nails looked choppy & to fix them. My two teenage daughters went to get a gel and dip manicure. When my daughter was getting her gel manicure, my daughter repeatedly tried to tell the manicurist that she wanted tips on her nails but since she did speak English she kept saying ok and proceeded to just paint her nails without the tips. My 13 year old is very shy and didn't know what else to do since the manicurist wasn't understanding, so at this point my daughter was just going to let her finish and suck it up. She text me a picture right after and her nails were chipped and not even filed at all, and painted so bad. I was a little upset because looking at her nails anyone would see that they looked a mess. Since my daughter is ver shy, I called on her behalf to ask them if they can fix them and add the tips like she wanted, and the lady who answered the phone said my daughter didn't say she wanted the tips and I find that hard to believe as my daughter told me she tried telling her 3 times and tried to stop her but the manicurist just answered ok. I'm giving this review because of the poor customer service as they were trying to blame my daughter and also the fact that work done on her nails was a mess. read more

I called on a Sunday morning, the receptionist who answered the phone "had to check" if they had appointments available. Several friends seem to love this salon, so maybe it was an off day, but as soon as I walked in... I did not feel the same vibe. It did not feel welcoming, bad energy. Don't get me wrong, the salon is clean and very nicely decorated. But the receptionist didn't remember that we just spoke. She asked me to pick out a color, which I did and when they took me back, I asked if she needed the number, she said no. The water in the pedicure chair was cold. The gentleman who took care of me barely spoke. I noticed several people at the front (upon checking out) having a disagreement about the bill. The woman next to me had two children with her and one of them received the wrong color and was afraid to speak up. When they asked what color it was 40 minutes later and I couldn't remember the number so I just said "white" for my toes. Since, I was soaking off dip polish, I was not distracted by my phone and noticed he did not put a base coat on. I thought maybe I was mistaken, so I didn't mention it until the polish wasn't sticking. The woman next to me mentioned that the polish needed fixed. It wasn't sticking after my nails either and needed cleaned off the skin. Next came the nails. I picked a florescent yellow, which came out more like big bird yellow. I asked if that was going to be the color before he was finishing (another technician had to respond). Yes, that was the color and don't go by the bottle, go by the display. So, I walked to the display and showed them. They said the color went bad. Ok, so they fix for me. As you can see from the photos. The polish is lumpy, very thick, uneven and on my skin. Seemed short on supplies as techs kept going around taking machines and pieces. Beautiful nail salon... it's just too bad that the services don't meet up with the elegant interior. Got to the salon at 4pm... said I wanted a pedi and was told it would be about a 10-15 minute wait, no big deal right? So they have me come back to a chair and run me some really hot water (which I love) so I settled in for my 15 minute wait. 45 minutes later I am sitting in the same chair with my feet in lukewarm water. Finally someone shows up to work on my feet which are now compete prunes. She (didn't give me her name nor ask mine) didn't ask me which pedi I wanted only demanded what color I wanted... well fortunately I have MORE than enough time to pick a color afterall. So she smears a bunch of callus eliminator on my heels and leaves... for 5+ minutes. When she finally returns she starts scrubbing the hell out of my very pruny and now tender feet as if I had 2 inches of callus. I know I don't have any callus on my heels because I am a hairstylist and former pedicurist who dry files her callused heels before I ever get to the nail salon. Why? So that I don't have to pay for an add on callus removal service. When she moved to doing my cuticles she went SO fast she jabbed my toes and pulled my skin off of my toes without totally nipping it first. I jumped way more than a handful of times on the first foot that it should've given her the message that she was hurting me... she eased up a bit on the second foot but not totally, she still rushed. The foot massage was "meh" at best. Now, the whole time I have been sitting there I have watched people come in and be told the exact same thing as I was "10-15 minutes" sit, wait and then finally get up and leave. No one engaged them after the initial "hello" so they left. While all this is going on the 1st chair manicurist is having a conversation in Vietnamese on speaker phone... while she is doing a clients nails. You read that right... she was having a conversation on speaker phone and not with her client!! Maybe I was lucky? because my pedicurist didn't say a single word to me the entire service... not one. So she slaps on my polish and then BOOM! she was gone... as in totally gone. So I sat there waiting... for another 15 minutes I finally had enough and went to get myself out of the chair to put my shoes on and leave... the young man the only person trying hard to service people rushed over and helped me put my sandals on. I was done... I paid and I left. The ambivalence to quality service in this nail salon was horrid. The only person who cared about what was going on was the one young man... he tried so hard rushing all over with clean tools, water for us in the chairs as well as working on his own client too. I think it goes without saying that I will not be going back to Boutique Nails and I wouldn't recommend this place to any of my clients either. In the future I will stick to Victoria Nails they may be busy there... but at least they are worth the wait. read more

I have been coming to this salon for about 2 years now but with the lack of customer service my friend and I received today we will not be returning. The receptionist was rude from the moment we walked in. We never received the service we initially came in for because she didn't write it in the book even though she repeated it back to me. Once we were ready to be checked out my friend asked for a break down on the price of her nails and was met with the receptionist saying in front of a salon full of people. "She wants to know why it cost so much." That is embarrassing for anyone let alone a person of color in salon full of non poc. I am disgusted and disappointed at the treatment we got today. This place. Wow. What talent in here! The women were amazing and the owner was so kind and courteous. They all made sure so many times that myself and my friend were okay and getting what we wanted. I also noticed that no one had their licenses on the wall or anywhere to be see . I watched a video on YouTube on what to watch for when you go to a salon like sanitary thing i.e. UNUSED EMORY-BOARDS, nail drills out of a new package. When this nail salon opened I was thrilled.I was welcomed with a smile and the service was excellent. I began to frequent regularly for my pedicures and manicures. Today I had an appt for a dipping nail manicure with Lynne.. I was trying to choose a color, and I could tell the technician was getting impatient and couldn't be bothered to help me either. Took 30 minutes for somebody to actually ask me what service I wanted and I sat for 2 hours and was told a different time frame on when I was going to get my nails done. Several people ahead of us waiting for their nails to dry had all gotten the wrong color and did not want to make a fuss. The price is fine, but speaking up will require a translator. I so wanted to love this place after looking at the pictures and reviews. The ladies all were super inviting and kind. The atmosphere was clean and welcoming. Not to mention they had color options galore. I went in to get tips (coffin shaped) with gel dip. I picked out a beautiful pale pink color (which I was told they had) only to be brought a hot pink color. I told them right away that it was too bright for me so the woman who was working on me brought me a lighter color. Only problem was that color was too sheer. I suppose I can be a bit picky, however if I am going to spend $45 on my nails I want the end product to be perfect. She decided to mix the two colors. Long story short; I left with hot pink nails that looked and felt bumpy and grainy, and some of my tips were lopsided. I had to file them when I got home.
