This place was ok, I came here with my friend since she lives in Bluffton. I got dip powder nails and was very underwhelmed. The lady was nice for the most part but the nails came out clumpy and uneven with the powder stuck to my cuticles. I had to ask her to reshape them, which she did in 2 seconds. Shows the lack of effort. The whole appointment felt very rushed. The lady was also very rude to a customer who came in saying "We're busy come back later." She also spoke about how my usual nail place does my dip "wrong". She also overcharged me and said "next time don't get tips" Will not be returning. This is my fourth time coming in and each time I've had a good experience! I'm a die-hard for coffin shaped acrylics and they do the best job shaping them of any other place I've gone in the area. Yesterday I went in as a walk in for a full set. The woman at the front let me know that I would have to wait a bit, which was fine. She handed me their gel color choices and although I hung out there for a while (about 20 minutes) I was grateful to have plenty of time to pick as I'm usually really indecisive. While I was sitting there I heard one of their techs talking about wanting to soak-off a client's nails while the client insisted on being able to pop them off. Always nice to hear techs insisting on the least damaging procedures! Once I was seated with the nail tech, he finished my set quickly, and didn't get up to work on other clients in between, which happens just about anywhere else I go as a walk-in. I never make reviews for services but today, this was the absolute WORST experience I have ever had at a nail salon. I went in with a previous set of nails, I mentioned that if they needed to remove the nails; I would be completely fine with a removal and a full set charge. The woman CUT my nails and caused my thumb to become irritated and it caused horrible plan that I even said a curse word. I simply asked that she not cut them anymore and I could just soak them off (I even said I'd be willing to wait and pay for the inconvenience of a soak off!) she told me NO and that she was having an appointment coming in (the place was completely empty.) I said okay, well can I take them off myself. She gave me a nail and I took my prior nails off in the chair. Following the removal of my own nails, she became the service. The woman placed my thumb nail on extremely crooked and I kindly asked her to fix the shape. She said "I'll fix it with filing" . I waited for her to file it down but the nail was in fact, STILL CROOKED. She then tells me it is going to be $70 UPFRONT because I'm being "difficult". I asked how I was being difficult when I simply asked that my nail be corrected. She then proceeded to tell me that I'm difficult and she does not believe I am going to pay following her finishing my nails. I then ask how she came to this conclusion as I have not given her any reason to think I wouldn't pay. She then tells me to give her $10 and leave. This is how I left the salon. Stopped by to get a manicure and was told they were too busy. So I left, and my husband went in and asked for the same service and they said he could sit and wait. This option wasn't given to me as one of the workers laughed when I requested the service. Here is the kicker, I have tried to use this salon for years and was always turned away. Thought maybe they workers are racist since I don't see anyone of color working or any ethnic diversity inside the salon. Shared this with my husband and he thought I was just reading into it. Today I was vindicated, he agreed that it does exsist in this establishment. Discrimination and unequal treatment based on race or ethnicity are unacceptable and go against the principles of fairness and equality. It's disheartening when individuals are subjected to such treatment in any establishment. read more

DO NOT GO TO NAILSPA EXPOSE IN BLUFFTON! Today I stopped in to get a manicure, pedicure and my eyebrows done. Upon entry I was seated and decided to go with gel for both services along with a design on my big toe. Once the pedicure was completed I was taken to the area to get the manicure done, at this time I thought that it may be better to have my manicure done later in the week as I will be attending a party on Saturday. I went ahead and scheduled an appointment for Thursday evening, he went ahead and booked me for 5pm and wrote down all my details in the appointment book. I then asked the lady who was to do my eyebrows but was finishing up a pedicure if she wanted me to get my eyebrows done on Thursday as well. She said no I should do it now and escorted me to the room. Since I realized she was not wearing gloves from getting up from the client who's pedicure she was finishing as soon as she took up a cotton ball and touched my face I asked if she had washed her hands, she then proceeded to get upset and told me to get up she's not doing my eyebrows, she then went and canceled my manicure appointment for Thursday all the time complaining that I'm too picky and I must go all because I wanted clean hands on my face. I then tried to ask her what was wrong with my question she said she wasn't going to argue with me and how would I be paying, I should pay and leave. She then proceeded to walk away and tell the gentleman who did my pedicure to come and collect payment from me. $70 later for just a gel pedicure and I will NEVER ago back there. I have never posted before but felt the need to warn others how unprofessional and rude she was. I would not even give them one star! read more

I FINALLY took the time for some self-care mani/pedi today at NailSpa Expose'. This is in Bluffton across from Sam's Club. This is the third time I've been to NailSpa Expose' to get a manicure and pedicure. Peter and his wife Mai were extremely health conscious before the Coronavirus hit our country. Peter and Mai have taken EXTRA PRECAUTIONS since the pandemic in order to ensure the safety of those who need and want nail services. They wear double layer masks and REQUIRE EVERY ONE to wear a mask and if you walk in without one they offer for you to buy one for a dollar or you'll have to reschedule. My checked my temperature and sprayed my hands with alcohol. There weren't that many people in the salon. Everybody is spaced MORE than 6 feet apart. It's only Mai and her husband working; so it's extremely individualized and personalized!!!! They took all of the necessary precautions, but they went beyond with extra barriers between them and their customers; not only for your safety but a relaxing setting!!!! There aren't TV's running the same DIY fixer upper shows or the negative news on!!! You hear friendly conversations and relaxing yet upbeat music playing!!! Next time my 80' something year old Mom comes to visit ( she would be upset if I said her real age!!!) we are coming here for a manicure and pedicure!!!!! read more

Let me start off this review by saying..I have been a customer since the first week they opened two years ago. After this experience I am forever done. I am not sure if when they closed to remodel they took on new management but the staff is different and not the "family" feel it use to have. Before, I use to walk in and be greeted. I always felt welcomed and like a VIP. My last visit was horrendous. One I did not recognize anyone that worked there. I walked in and not one word was said to me. I started looking at colors and heard "what do you need?". No "hello, how are you?" no "Hey it is good to see you again". I informed the stylist I needed a dip mani and a pedicure. They said "fifteen minutes". I continued to look at the colors and was patient since I did not have an appointment. After twenty minutes I said that I can come back in an hour or so or the next day, they sat me in a pedicure chair immediately to start the soak. I sat in the pedicure chair for another FORTY minutes soaking in cold water since the warm water cooled down. Mind you, I have been in the salon for an HOUR now. The stylist came over and started taking my polish off. A couple walked in, apparently they had two pedicure appointments thirty minutes previous, they were late. They even said they did not even think to call. They were sat down immediately. My stylist stopped my process and wheeled to them and immediately started. He informed me they had an appointment and had to honor it. They were thirty minutes late and I was there for an hour at that point. In what world does this make any sense? After another ten minutes a different stylist came to wrap my nails to removed my dip. I informed the stylist to not worry about it because I had to be somewhere in an hour and my pedi and dip usually take an hour and a half. The stylist rolled his eyes and spoke to another stylist in their language and kept looking at me as if I was stuck up for saying I was on a time crunch. This is why I always come two hours before an obligation. So I have a thirty minute buffer if they are busy. The stylist said he can do it and wrapped my nails. My pedicure was so fast I dont even think he lotioned my legs. He barely scrubbed the bottom. I timed my pedicure. It was fifteen minutes from finishing the removal of the polish to FRENCH painting my toes. That shows you how long he spent on the relaxing part. My French pedi usually takes forty five minutes. Granted, the French looked good but the relax was not worth it. Later I found out I even paid the full price for my pedi. Even though it was 1/3 of the usual time. Onto my dip nails. I had two tips on my broken nails. The stylist informed me to make the time crunch I should just leave them the length my natural nail was and I agreed because I needed my nails cut down anyway. He asked what color I wanted and I said light pink. I even brought the jar over to the table. My natural shape is almond so I keep it that way. He informed me to make them more round because my two broken nails was not long enough for the almond shape. A little upset I said it was fine because at least that is all I had to sacrifice. Wrong. My natural nails are about 1/2 inch from the base of my fingers. They have always been long. Its my personality. My style. He did not like how the shape looked so without asking, he cut every single nail. My nails were non existent. Barely above the base of my finger. I almost cried. I asked him why did he do that and he said "it looks better this way". At this point I just wanted to go home with naked nails. He started applying the base layer of dip. He seemed to be doing many layers which I thought was odd because out of the two years getting dip I usually only have one or two layers. I asked how many base layers was needed and he said the base was done. I asked why he was doing my nails in white and not light pink and he said I said "same thing" since my nails was previously white. I told him no and showed him the jar sitting not even a foot away from his hands. He sighed and said no time and continued to work. At the end of all of this mess I am left with nails that did not even need dip because they are so short. More stress before I walked in. Two hours of my life I will never get back. I have told so many people about this salon and they have switched to this salon because of me but they saw the horrible bumpy, thick, dip on my beyond short nails and my callouses still on my feet. I still walked out paying $80. I am beyond hurt that a place I have felt like my second home (there every three weeks) for two years disrespected me like this. Did I mention the couple who was late cause they were out eating got perks? The gentleman got an upgraded pedi for the price of a lower one and the lady got her eye brows done for free. So if anyone decides to give this place a shot, make an appointment and just show up whenever. You will get free stuff out. read more

Just went in for a polish change on my toes and a SNS manicure...they were crowded and I received the worst polish change and SNS ever! They said the colors would match and they don't even come close plus they were rude and impatient when I was trying to pick my color. You can see the old color underneath the new on my toes and nails! I'm so upset because I paid $50 for horrible service! I went in for a fill and a pedicure. I asked for an acrylic fill and they tried to up-sell me 3 times! I've had my nails done for 20 yrs so I know the products and my options. I don't appreciate the nail tech saying my previous nail tech didn't do a good job and that I NEED to get the SNS application in order for my nails to look good. Needless to say I won't go back again as they don't seem to know how to do an acrylic fill very well or manage their appointments. This nail salon is located across from Sam's club. The attendant at the front door was very nice and I was seated almost immediately for my pedicure. They offer many different pedicure services starting at $28 going up to $60. I went with the $35 pedicure which was nice and relaxing.The only reason I did not give the salon five stars was I felt they were trying to upsell me on additional services like a manicure and waxing. We called ahead and made appointments for pedicures. When we arrived, a couple pretended to be us and took our time. This couple was not wearing masks, which was concerning especially since they said they would not allow patrons who weren't wearing masks. They decided to do ours first, which was great; however, the pedicures literally took 20 minutes and 16 minutes each. Definitely not worth the $32 each we were charged. Have to go with five stars here when comparing it to the other Hilton Head and Bluffton salons. They ALWAYS honor your appointment time and don't make you wait like other places. The technicians are so friendly, accommodating and are excellent in their craft. They take great care in what they do, and my gel pedicures and SNS powder manicures have lasted for an incredible amount of time. Make sure you asked and look at the prices before you get anything done. She overcharged me. She didn't do a great job, she supposed to do manicure and take off my acrylic nails. All she did was take my acrylic off and she charged me for manicure too. She charged me too much. I checked later on I found out it's cheaper than what she told me. read more

I would not recommend this salon to anybody. I used to go periodically when I had the time to go get a manicure and pedicure and I was pleased with their work. So when Valentine's Day came around this year I gave my husband several suggestions as to what he could get me. One was a gift certificate from this salon which he gladly did. My husband accidentally tore the gift certificate not knowing it was in the envelope that I had put it in. I went for a manicure and they would not redeem it because it was torn. It made no sense to me. I called the police because to me they were stealing from me. Sad thing is there was nothing they could do. I have to take them to small claims court over $50. They were very rude and disrespectful and asked me to leave. They Shooed me out! Will never go there again and I will be certain to tell everyone I know that they are thief's!
