Went in a couple days ago, first time in the salon first impression, stunned by the modern/glamorous combination style of the salon. Second impression, prices were to high at my expense and point of view, requested a service, they started right away, told them how I wanted them to look, halfway through he started painting, now the colors I wanted were light nude & white. I don't know how he missed it but he painted them the incorrect color, not only that the shaping are completely different from my other ones along with the length and design. Third and last impression, the total... now they/he told me the total before I requested service, in between and after he finished, so I knew what I was paying for wrong, as I was paying he told the price again not any "extra charges" along with the price! Same day, I check my bank account and come to find out not only was I "paying" for what I thought was paying but extra fees and charges I was never told... never again and would like a FULL REFUND! I don't understand why they tell customers the "price" multiple times then in check out find out that it's not the SAME PRICE they kept repeating over and over! read more

I typically don't go here, but a group of my friends made an appointment to get our nails done for Christmas. The lady started on my nails and got up midway and walked away without saying anything. I sat there for 45 minutes before someone came back to finish my nails. The polish is already chipping after a week, it was $40 to have gel put on my nails. I am sooo happy!!! Today I had a few minutes to get a pedicure. I usually go to another salon but I was here and thought let me try this place. They opened sometime in 2020. I'm glad they made it through. It's a large salon. It's is beautifully decorated. Today Dayana did my pedicure. I just wanted a quick pedicure... this was basically a polish change. I'm not mad about it, but I should have read the description of the service on the menu. No cream, no massage... probably for the $40 pedicure that would've been included. Come here if you want to have sketchy "charges" added to your bill and get ignored/ treated like crap for being a loyal and returning customer! My friend and I both walked in the day prior to make appts for the following morning. We booked 2 appts for 10am and my friend requested Nina as her nail tech. The next morning we came for our appts on time, i waited 20 min before someone started on my nails. My friend had dip on her nails and no one came over to start soaking her dip off til we were there for 30-40 min. Nina was completely ignoring us, and told the receptionist she doesn't take requests on fridays (why were we allowed to make an appt with her then??) Nina and the establishment had so many opportunities to make it right. We watched nina finish someone's pedicure and then start on another person that walked in much later than us, while my friend was still sitting there soaking her nails and being completely ignored. So regardless If nina doesn't take appts on Friday she should have prioritized my friend who was there first and specifically asked for her. What a trashy way to treat a loyal client. 10-15 more people walked in after us (it was a Friday morning) while my friend sat there being completely ignored. By this point we had been there well over an hour and my friend was sitting there soaking for so long that her nails are getting soggy and weak, no one is coming to remove the dip. The guy working on my nails ended up having to do both mine and my friends nails which obviously took twice as long as it should have. He was in such a hurry to get our appts over that he messed up my gel nails (it's bubbling and chipping already and Its only been a few hours, he didn't allow them to dry long enough in between coats) and then clipped my friends long NATURAL nails without even asking if she wanted them trimmed- she DIDNT!!. So she had to get tips on her nails as a result of that. To make matters worse not only did they not offer even a dollar off as a discount for all the major screw ups and inconvenience, they actually had the NERVE to charge us $5 for "nail shaping" ??? In what world is shaping not included in the cost of a $50+ manicure when you get the exact same shape you came in with and didn't get them drastically shorter or longer. And after he cut her natural nails without her consent and has the nerve to charge for nail shaping. The AUDACITY of these people is through the roof!!! At the end Nina had the nerve to FINALLY come over and start arguing with us , acting like WE did something wrong?!! Never apologized, never offered a solution, just combative and rude. How embarrassing that she treats her loyal clients that way! When we asked for the owner she said she won't be in for 2 weeks. How convenient! We left our number for the owner to contact us but given the disgusting poor attitude of the employees I have very little hope that the owner will ever call back to make this right. So word of advice to Essence, stop over booking your appts and train your staff on customer service!! And to any potential clients reading this, do yourself a favor and go to literally any other nail place in bluffton, or at the very least DONT ask for Nina, and make sure you ask for a price breakdown at the end of your service or they will add random charges and completely rip you off!!! read more

This is not how you appropriately take dip off. I understand there will be damage to your nail beds when getting it removed, but it has never looked like this before. My nails are peeling layers off because it was not smoothed down enough and was only done using a nail file. I am appalled. Went to Essence April 6, with my granddaughters and daughter, after spending over $270.00 for the 4 of us, I just found out that the acrylic literally fell off my one granddaughter a short week later. She came home from school and mentioned to her mom that one had fallen off in school and sat at the table and easily picked all the others off with no pain, no acetone, nothing, they just came off. Will never go back and you should not either. The pedicures were not that great either and the attitudes of 2 of the 4 techs we had were not the best. Just go somewhere else. I took my Grandmother for a manicure here. While i got my SNS dip done, she got a regular manicure at the same time. She waited with her nails under the fans for about an hour to let them dry. When she went into her bag about an hour later to pay, all of her nails were ruined instantly. Mind you, we waited for a full hour for them to dry. When I showed the lady at the front desk, she tried to blame my grandmother for using her hands too quickly. She didn't even try to offer to fix it. I explained that we were waiting for an hour for them to dry and she stated that regular polish takes longer than that, which is simply not true. I said that there must have been something wrong with the polish and at first, she wouldn't have even let my grandmother pick a different polish. I had to step in and tell her the one she used first was clearly old and no longer good. This is the third time that the employees have been rude and not understanding. When they were done, they sat my grandmother in front of the fan and then turned off the lights since the salon was closing, not giving ample enough time for them to dry. I will not be returning and will tell other clients I know not to come here either. You are treated like you're disposable and not like you're a paying customer.
