Since we used to own and run a small business ourselves, we know exactly what that feels like. Despite being shorthanded, the owners were extremely professional and provided excellent service--you would have never known they were understaffed. We ordered the French Toast and the Crunchy French Toast, and both were perfect. The dishes featured delicious, buttery brioche served with cinnamon butter and syrup. We also loved their coffee cups so much that we bought one to take home! If you ever find yourself in Solvang, make it a point to go here for an amazing breakfast.

The flaky toast was incredible and had me wishing I had room for another order. The Danish pancakes were also excellent and definitely worth trying. Another big plus was how family-friendly the restaurant was. We visited on a weekday morning during the summer and only had a short wait, though I can't speak to weekend wait times. The only downside is the service after you're seated. You order at the front counter before being shown to your table, and once your food is delivered, it's not very likely that anyone will check on you. If you need a refill or anything else, you'll probably have to flag someone down. Even with that minor drawback, the food more than made up for it. Fantastic food, generous portions, a welcoming atmosphere, and a great spot for families. I'd happily come back the next time I'm in Solvang.
