Food price / quality (value) rating 8.5. I'd give it a higher rating if the entrees included a little bread or something. The atmosphere is a beautifully restored antique Victorian inn. I had the Pistachio Crusted Pork Chop, which was a very large double cut chop, big enough to tip over the Flintstone mobile. It was cooked perfectly, and included mashed potatoes and a steamed vegetable medley of broccoli, carrots, and squash. The pork chop was great. The wife had the Shrimp Risotto and said it was very good. They have a limited, but well chosen draught beer selection. For dessert we split the house made Tiramisu that was certainly big enough for two and was very reasonably priced. I also had a cappuccino that was the epitome of a properly made cappuccino, creamy and textured throughout, with a beautifully executed drip design. Also on the dessert menu was a very reasonably priced Chocolate Souffle. They're open everyday but Tuesday. I liked the place a lot, even though it's a little costly. We'll definitely be back.

Beet and fennel pasta with Feta crumbles.

The food, cocktails, and the view were amazing!!!! The beet and leek pasta was gorgeous and delicious. This is a 5 star restaurant in any city. The octopus appetizer rivals Avra in NYC. My compliments to the chef.

Is the inn doing a mothers day brunch?

I have to admit I am not sure, they do have a brunch menu and I would assume that they will be doing a Mother's Day brunch, their food is great, their service wonderful and the new face amazing. Their hours and phone are: Sunday – Thursday 11am –… Read more

I also had the best service. I live in San Francisco and needed to find a place to bake a birthday cake for my mother-in-law's 90th birthday party. 24 people were gathering at Interlaken Inn to celebrate. I reached out to about 3 places and Peg got back to me immediately--all via email. Through email I told her we wanted a chocolate cake with fresh fruit and whip cream in the middle. She said she needed to make two 9" rounds to feed the 24 of us. I picked up the cake on Saturday afternoon and asked for two sandwiches to go (turkey)) and they were both delicious, FYI! Saturday evening we celebrated at the Millerton Inn Restaurant. The kitchen put a candle on the cake (we had forgotten!) and after we sang Happy Birthday they cut the cakes and handed out the slices. There are NO WORDS to describe how much every single person in our group raved over this cake! It was super moist. The fresh fruit brought a lovely light acidity to the chocolate, and the whip cream was light and not too sweet. The cake wasn't too sweet either. My stepdaughter's husband actually never eats cake because he thinks it is too sweet and honestly, we couldn't stop him from seconds (and thirds) and each time he was in awe of how much he loved it! It was incredibly rewarding for me to see everyone so happy with the cake! Peg--THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! You're a baking genius. I'm only sad I can't get your cakes in San Francisco. And if any of this sounds like hyperbole, I assure you it is not. If anything, I haven't done a proper job describing the love your cake engendered.

We arrived and sat outside on the terrace. The road nearby was not too loud and the terrace was great shade on a warm day. We ordered gazpacho, ratatouille, onion soup, and clams linguini. Importantly, I almost NEVER order clams at restaurants. My family and I dig and eat at least a thousand clams a year in Rhode Island and I always assume and expect that no place can prepare them as well or as freshly. When the dish arrived I saw three cherrystones on top and figured this would be a small plate for a big price. I was completely wrong. The dish was better than anything I've made or had out. Full of tender chopped clams, the flavor and sauce were superb and the bread was excellent. We finished the meal with the pastry desert (cream puff with ice cream and chocolate sauce) and a merengue floating on a vanilla sauce. Both were wonderful. The service was great- Emelina (?) was very attentive and gave us spot on advice (and some basic French lessons) with a smile. The owner, Rober, also stopped by to make sure our experience was good. I would recommend strongly to anyone in the area who appreciates fine dining without too much fuss or to anyone wondering what French food is really like.

Gracie's is an elevated diner experience...all the breakfast and brunch things you could want, but up a couple levels from a classic greasy spoon diner. Not dissing the greasy spoon diner experience...love that...but this is based in that historical experience, with an overall nicer experience in terms of food and atmosphere. Also, before we get into the specifics, here are 2 words which would bring me in from just about anywhere: Donut menu. Yes, they make their own donuts here, and that's enough reason to stop in, take out, or worship at the front door. We got our donuts to go after the meal...The coffee was GREAT. Too often, coffee, which should be the opening star of a diner experience, can be flavorless, browned water. Here it was good. Bold as I needed it to be, and the perfect foundation for the rest of the meal. My next go-to if they have it brunch experience is biscuits. They have them...you can get a biscuit on its own or, heck, go for a mini biscuit basket! I live for a biscuit-forward establishment. The Full Breakfast (submitting biscuit or potatoes for the meat) would have been my choice, but I decided to roll my own and ended up with a biscuit, fruit cup, and side of Hash Browns. The biscuit was good, large, and perfect with butter and honey. They make the hash browns to order - large hash brown patties - and with 2 different orders of them at the table, one was overcooked, too brown, and not impressive...but the other was perfect and delicious...bordering on potato pancake territory in presentation and flavor. Our server was fantastic...we had a large party encompassing 3 different tables in the middle of a Sunday morning (On Easter no less), which is, of course, the busiest time of the week. She was friendly, enthusiastic, and never made us feel rushed. If I found myself in the Hudson Valley again, Gracie's would be a definite destination for me.
