This is my third review of this restaurant. We've always liked this place but had not been able to go in over a year, due to personal reasons. We went back last week. We still love it. We met the owner,Dino, who was extremely hospitable and welcoming. Our server was very attentive. By some people's standards, their service might be considered slow. For us, it was perfect as we do not like to feel rushed when we go out to eat. The food was delicious. The ambiance was pleasant. The cocktails were very creative. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Service was perfect! Ambiance perfect! Food was great minus one issue, the shrimp saganaki and the shrimp in the risotto was definitely frozen and not fresh. You could taste the freezer burn. I'm not a fan of using jumbo shrimp as they are more chewy to begin with, despite this texture they just tasted bad of freezer. Everything else we had was phenomenal and we even ordered a pizza to go. The zucchini fritters were top notch! The grilled manouri cheese great! The cinnamon soda amazing! The seafood risotto minus the shrimp awesome, I'd also do without the sausage (very dry and grainy). Mussels, clams and steak pieces were perfect as was the rice. The dessert i cannot pronounce and the espresso fredo was out of this world. The pizza was the best Greek pizza I've had in a long time and would definitely get again. They paid attention to exactly what we asked for as we enjoy extra cheese and lightly baked which is often like a cheese slide avalanche. With a 20 min ride back home the cheese settled and became the perfect late night noshing meal!

Another five star visit to one of our favorite restaurants, Greca. Today's visit was extra special because we attended one of chef/founder Dino's cooking demonstrations. Not only did we get to sample and learn how to make a variety of Greek dishes, but we got to learn the history and origins of Greek food. Dino's passion for food and family drove the demonstration. It was evident how personal each of his dishes are to him. We also were impressed by his chef Dell and how effortless he made the food preparation appear. We continue to be impressed by all Greca has to offer! The cooking demonstration is well worth the visit, very affordable and about 3 hours in length.

Greca is the only restaurant that came up in my search for vegetarian/vegan options near Kent. I was so excited to try the place as they were voted as the best restaurant by some Connecticut news magazines. We went to the place around 3 (definitely not a peak crowd time) and we were the only customers there. The employees were very friendly. We ordered a hummus pita, some vegetarian and vegan dishes (falafel platter, zucchini keftedes) , some spinach rice (this was so mushy) and some chicken dishes. The food was average. Everyone felt that the vegetarian/vegan food options were better than the chicken/meat dishes. The drinks were decent.

Wow. So not what I was expecting. This restaurant received Connecticut Magazine's best restaurant awards and nods, and got other positive reviews, so a lot better was anticipated. The meal was a train wreck from beginning to end. First, waited several minutes (and I do mean several) until someone came to the host station. While being seated, I noticed that almost every table where others were not seated was dirty and had not been cleared. The waitress was very kind and apologetic, saying they were severely understaffed. This made me wonder why the host or anyone else was not helping to clean off tables. Now for the food. A long wait for just a drink and appetizer. My glass was dirty. The falafel appetizer, while crisp on the outside, was uncooked on the inside. (I don't like my falafel bone dry, but I also don't expect its inner texture to be that of mush either.) Meanwhile, some regular comes in for only a cappuccino and gets it served right away and is out as quickly as he came. A different server to mine came out to greet and serve him. This server was not attending any other tables. (Again, why was this person not helping to clear off the dirty tables?) The salmon was horribly overcooked. Like burnt in a corner and dry kind of overcooked. $32.00 for a plate of overcooked salmon? Just no to this place. Just no. There was nothing redeeming. I don't care how understaffed. Just no.

Wonderful lunch! Greca is a bit of a hidden gem, tucked away next to The Big Y and with an unimpressive entrance. The interior is warm and welcoming with delicious food and excellent service. We got the trio of mezes and a fried seafood special, both of which we really enjoyed and ate every bite of the generous servings. Wish I'd taken photos but were too hungry lol. Definitely will be back soon

The criteria set forth for a good dive bar are all exceeded at S J Barrington's, and for that reason I'd love to give it 5-stars in that genre. On the other hand, stepping into this place from the real world, you can't help but think this is some sort of reality show joke. The decor consists of garden lattice with fake vines. The clientele is nothing but the cream of the working class crop. And the waitstaff... My friend and I went to S J's for a few drinks, some bar food and to watch the game on their 21" cathode tubes. Our buxom 58 year old barkeep served us up some Buffalo wings, potato skins and a round of brew. Half way into the visit, she returned to ask how the wings were, since she'd never tried them. Before we could respond she was dipping into the discarded bones and gnawing on the chicken knuckles from a wing I had just tossed in. I was waiting for Ashton Kutcher to pop out from behind the Big Buck Hunter arcade game and tell us we were being punked. Totally epic!

Food (4.4) Service (4.4) Ambiance (4.6)…read more First visit since New owner and menu improved from what we already enjoyed. Prices are average-high but worth the money and portions are large. The calamari app was very "good" as was the tuna app. I had the panko crusted Drunken Chicken which comes over mashed potatoes and VERY fresh and delicious vegetables, Massive and VERY good! Wife had the Sea Bass which she liked, but the risotto it sat on was bland. The Burgers are massive and my son rated it "very good" but had better. See the slab of bacon on top in pic. Yes the Out of This World Mac and Cheese was delicious even if not my style... They still carry a fine wine and craft beer selection including many locals. The service was good yet they sent us away because no reservation, said over an hour wait. Left phone anyway and they called 10 min later. Water with hummus dip came quickly, yet waitress was slammed. She was very pleasant and delays were acceptable being they were packed at 7PM on weekend. Ambiance had not changed from the traditional pub style with a large happy bar. Very clean with good energy all around. Will add this back onto our regular list. Keep up the good work!

It was delicious, refreshing and packed a punch and I had two since I wasn't driving lol. The service was exceptional as it was welcoming, friendly and attentive. Definitely worth every ounce and I plan on returning soon.

You could see some nice smoke rings on the intact pieces of meat. Cons: - Service. The staff member we encountered when we entered and asked about our reservation (a manager of the restaurant or perhaps just of the cocktail program, we learned) was incredibly rude and unfriendly. We had barely begun to eat our food when she came by our table and asked us if we would like to-go bags. We were a bit shocked and asked her if she needed the table for some reason. (The restaurant was less than half full.) She said no, but the messaging to us that she did not want us at the restaurant was quite clear. With a lot of effort I did draw out some of the superficial signs of friendliness from the bartender working under the manager, who had initially echoed the manager's coldness. But it ought not be on the customer to extract a non-miserable customer experience, especially on a celebratory occasion. The person who brought out our food was competent, pleasant, and helpful. Middling: - The Lumberjack cocktail was well designed and well made. If only those behind this cocktail program were not so angry at having to interact with customers! - Mashed potatoes had the texture of being scratch made, but also had a hint of margarine. Margarine is a no go in our book. - Corn bread was very sweet and moist, Northern style. It may just be a matter of personal preference, but I am partial to Southern style corn bread, a bit more crumbly, not sweet and not cake-like, where the flavor of corn is more prominent. TLDR: Pleasant space, some excellent food and cocktails. (The non bbq items we tried were so-so, but where the smoker was involved, it didn't seem like you could go wrong.) Hospitality was a fail. We have a few good options for bbq in the area. We are in no hurry to return to Cowboy Butter.

It's a nice setting to hang out with friends or family. The drinks were okay, nothing bad but nothing memorable. The picadera was good, fresh, and hot, which was a great start. Other entrées at the table were also cold, which was confusing since the flavors had potential. Overall, this is a good spot for drinks and fun with friends or family. However, I wouldn't recommend it for a date. Cold food can really kill the mood and no one wants a cold night after a bad first date. I hope they improve consistency with food temperature because the space and vibe are definitely there.

Finally used to the Batman 'Hall of Fame' but I will say, the times I've been here, the meals were all quite ample, very fairly and appropriately priced and minus my first foray in, very good service! I've been all over the menu so I can't point out any 'one' thing, but I did just have their Three Brothers (eggs) Benedict which is definitely worth noting! While the tire shop warned me it'd be a long wait (my car apparently decided to audition for "Most Dramatic Vehicle of 2025"), my son, daughter, and I wandered across the street to 3 Brothers Diner... expecting, you know, a normal diner. BAM! POW! WHAM! We walked straight into what can only be described as the Batcave of dining. Every inch--every single inch--of this diner is covered in Batman memorabilia. From ceiling-swooping Batplanes to walls lined with Dark Knight treasures, it's like stepping into the Caped Crusader's personal brunch headquarters. Gotham could only dream of such ambiance. The place is spotless, the staff friendlier than Alfred offering warm advice, and the food? Absolutely delicious. I had the lasagna--cheesy, saucy, perfect. My son devoured his Philly cheesesteak like it was fuel for fighting crime. My daughter kept it classic with eggs, toast, and home fries, all perfectly cooked. Honestly, if you ever find yourself with a blown tire, car troubles, or just a sudden and overwhelming desire to dine with the Dark Knight--3 Brothers Diner is your spot. To the Bat-Diner!
