    Brussel sprouts and sausage

We went to this Italian restaurant after wanting to try it for a while. We called the day of and made reservations, the place was completely full when we arrived for our 7:30 reservation. The owner was extremely kind and came over a few times and checked in on us. She said she works in the front of the house and her husband is in the back. For apps we ordered a special of brussel sprouts and sausage (a combo I've never had before and really enjoyed) and a pizza which I really liked. I had the lasagna which was tasty, it was only like two pieces of noodles, not like a traditional layered lasagna.

We truly enjoyed our dinner at La Piccolina last night. The food was delicious, perfectly seasoned and the portions were just right. The beet salad I ordered was delicious; I plan to order it again next time. My husband had the Cesar salad and he liked it too. The main courses were very satisfying and the desserts were very tasty. One thing we truly liked is that we never felt rushed. The servers were excellent. It's a very welcoming place. We are looking forward to our next meal at this restaurant.

My daughter took me for lunch today and this quaint cozy place was a great choice. I ordered the split pea soup. The soup was very tasty. I also ordered the avocado salad with grilled chicken. I was very impressed. My daughter order the fried calamari. It was delicious! As well as pizza, I didn't get to try, but looked great. Although it was pretty much empty besides another table, the server was friendly and attentive. Definitely returning

My favorite lunch spot in New Milford. Located on the village green, with outdoor sidewalk tables, under the market umbrellas. Very pleasant ambiance equaling the pleasant server we had. I've eaten here about four times. It's a good meetup spot to join a friend and have a couple glasses of Pinot Grigio, which we did. Along with the lunch special eggplant Parmesan and garden salad, it makes for a very nice experience. The eggplant Parmesan, by the way, is the best I've had in years. Light and slightly crispy, not soggy or greasy. And that sauce! Wonderful.

Convenient location. Room for outdoor dining (although not today - it was too cold). Grilled calamari and bruschetta apps were great. Pollo rollatini, spaghetti tutti mare, and butternut squash ravioli entrees were all perfectly prepared. But leave room for dessert. The crepes and pumpkin pie were out of this world! Nice ambiance and clean restrooms. Well done all around!

Came here for lunch on the weekend. The area is very cute and quiet. I got the Spaghetti Tutto Mare dish & hubby got the grilled calamari and shrimp with spinach. We also got the burrata appetizer and a bottle of Pinot Grigio. It was very tasty and filling, but that didn't stop us from also getting a dessert! We got the ricotta cheesecake to share and it was really good! The staff was also very pleasant. We had a great time.

Went today for lunch for the first time as I've been wanting to eat here. Never again!! Ordered homemade Ravioli w sage butter sauce. It was lacking flavor soo I bc asked for parm, it was a multi use container and was very cold soo just out of fridge...okay, I can deal with that however The giant hair(that wasn't mine) is inexcusable. The bread was stale but that peaked in comparison. Here's pic below

I've lived in New Milford for 16 years grew up in Westchester. I'm a Nurse at NY Presbyterian Hospital so I divide my time between bustling Manhattan and quiet New Milford This restaurant reminds me of being in Manhattan in the East Village or LES. This is a true mom and pop establishment with a Northern Italian influence. The food is really delicious, my husband is a first generation Italian from NY and loves this restaurant. There are several Italian restaurants in the immediate area, coming here is a unique experience. You really feel like a member of the family being taken care of. The food is eclectic and constantly evolving. My husband and I come once a week on average and never have the same dish twice. You can sit outside on a patio and enjoy the New Milford Green people watching. The dessert menu really brings a wonderful conclusion to a spectacular performance. Tonight for instance I had the gelato which was a sample of espresso, strawberry (with fresh strawberries!) and wonderfully creamy vanilla gelato. This was a wonderful end to an excellent meal.

But I found it very mediocre. Chicken potstickers were probably the best part of the meal. My husband ordered the general tso's lunch special, I ordered the spicy miso ramen, and we ordered the pineapple fried rice lunch special with chicken to share. There is a place closer to home where I order pineapple fried rice and it's super yummy and served in a pineapple. This was very boring, and bland. I wished it could be ordered with pork or pork belly, which has more flavor than chicken, but that wasn't an option. It did contain a lot of chicken so would be a decent sized standalone meal, but I wasn't impressed. The spicy miso ramen said it had a rich pork broth with miso added, but truth be told, it tasted like the free miso soup you get with sushi or hibachi. I forgot to add an egg - entirely my fault. But the soup overall was underwhelming. As was the general tso's. Fine but not great. Food came out quickly and it was busy, but I was not impressed at all and wish we chose somewhere better for lunch when in the area. We had leftovers, but it wasn't any better the second time around!

Our experiences this year have been pretty good, but not quite as good as we hoped. Their logistical arrangement over the summer has been different from the past. When you arrive now you order at a new covered bar (wine, beer, cocktails to a limited extent) area. You pay there, are given a number and find a seat where you will be served. Their dining tent is larger and better protected from the elements, and of course outside seating at tables is still available weather permitting. It's a great place for families where the kids can freely run around. But it's really all about the food, isn't it? And we've had some good and not-so good dishes at our visits this year. Their fish and chips remains a delicious treat: the fish crispy, the fries crunchy, we way we prefer. The tuna steaks, however, have been once overcooked and other times way undercooked and chewy. Our neighbors tell us their fried menu items are consistently better prepared. Guess we need to learn. Their menu offers lots of choices; we've enjoyed the fried shrimp previously but didn't try it lately. The lobster butter cheddar biscuits are very tasty. -- good crunch -- and we have always found their clam chowder to be thick, creamy and filled with clam pieces. A welcome treat! We are eager to dine inside shortly, and we'll update our report then. In the meantime, we still enjoy our visits here; e'd just prefer to have a little more consistency.

You have an open air tent seating option along with a field seating option that is family and dog friendly. Expect a longer wait time for food. Truly, their fried options are the best options on the menu and that shouldn't be the case. Their cocktails are not consistent, but when they're made well, they are great. The food is expensive for what you get, for instance, 1 small cod fillet for fish and chips. As I write, the more I realize perhaps it's a solid 3.5 stars. For an outdoor dining establishment in the summer, it hits the spot.
